Youtube Deepdive Channel

Looking for 3-5 editors who have experience in documentary/explainer videos. Attach a video in this style, or just an overall portfolio.

Here are some examples of the style:
How Witness Protection Manages to Keep a 100% Success Rate
Bad typography has ruined more than just the Oscars
10 Biggest YouTubers Who Are Permanently Banned (& Why)

Imagine almost a mix between these styles. The humor and fun style of the first one, the more modern and sleek feel of the second one, and then the deep dive detailed side of the third one.

Some scenes in the videos I would like to see animated in a 2D way. These will be very simple animations. Something like a video about the trolley problem may have some animations of a train moving down the tracks. Nothing insanely complicated or difficult. This is great for people looking to get some portfolio pieces or just to people who are learning.

Some niche or odd topics will need detailed 3D animations just to get the point across of what is going on. I have a perfect video example of this, and most of your work on the channel will involve things such as this. The entire video won't be animated, however some parts like in this one how the machine works would be animated.

I need someone to read the scripts. Most likely around three people who will swap out and rotate every few videos, or whoever I just feel works for the video. I may even come back to this casting call in the future and accept certain people as I think they are fit for the roles.

Script Length: 2,500 - 3,000 words (15-20 minutes)
Voice Type: Explainer, but a little funny with a touch of humor.

Voice Examples:

For the audition please read the lines, or you will be auto declined.

I need someone to compose custom tracks for the videos. Online tracks can be used, but custom ones are cooler. Send something explainer style, or something you would hear during a YouTube video.

Your job is work on 2,500 - 3,000-word scripts delving into pretty niche topics. There will be info out there, and hopefully a team of researchers giving you your information and allowing you to just write. The turnaround time would be around a week, but you will likely be working with another person and having me oversee as well.

Examples of Scripts:

Your job is to take a given topic and research it and get as much information as possible for scriptwriters. This may involve emailing people and asking them further questions, and sometimes even interviewing people. These are pretty niche topics and will require a ton of research to find the answers, and information on.

Making pretty simple thumbnails for the videos. Examples are this channel as most thumbnails will be something like it.

Ask questions. That's your job. These videos revolve around questions.
For instance,

How do traveling Broadway shows travel?
Are there more doors or wheels in the world?
Is there a true correct answer to the trolley problem?
Why do sitcoms have laugh tracks, and why do they make us laugh?

If you know how to ask questions you can do this. They do need to be good questions though can be around a 15-minute video, and importantly as well the answer needs to be interesting.
