Your Turn To Die (Unofficial Dub Patch)
Project Overview
THE PROJECT
Your Turn to Die is a freeware game about a high school student, Sara Chidouin, who is forced into a death game with an assortment of other people who may share more in common than what they already know.
Calizaworks will be creating an Unofficial Dub Patch.
What is a dub patch?
To put it simply, instead of editing voiceover with a recording of the game, we will be directly inputting the voiceover into the game itself. This means that you will have a downloadable folder to have voice acting in your game for free.
Nankidai has given Calizaworks permission to go ahead with this patch. However, it will be tagged as 'unofficial' as requested.
REQUIREMENTS
- Please make sure your recording software can record in WAV and that you can change the bitrate and sampling rate of said recording.
- When auditioning, please use the microphone set-up that you'll be using for the project. Do not add any effects or compression/limiters. Record your audition raw with only the gain volume you've setup (Please also make sure your recording is not clipping past -0.1db.)
- Please create a discord account for this project. This will allow me to contact everyone in one place and show members the project's progress. If you don't feel like creating one or don't feel comfortable using Discord for this project, we can work with emails!
- Your microphone set-up must include either XLR or USB components. Please do not audition if you're only going to be using devices such as a built-in laptop microphone, headset/earphones, or a phone to record your lines. Direct from XLR or USB only!
PAYMENT
Calizaworks is a non-profit, volunteer group. Meaning we will not be receiving revenue (on most) of our released projects and are providing content out of a passion for the work.
When you are logged in, you can comment, add submissions, create projects, upvote, search open roles, and way more. Login here.

Keiji is shown to be pretty casual and level-headed during the Death Game, though he comes off as shady to some of the participants. He usually refers to himself as "the friendly policeman" in an effort to establish himself as trustworthy and makes a pretence of being less cunning than he really is.
He's observant and canny and is quite good at reading other people and knows when to speak up and when to leave them be.
He's also encouraging and gentle with the younger participants, making it his job to at least keep watch over Gin.
In certain situations, Keiji's responses appear flirty to distract others and avoid answering, sometimes even to joke around. Evidence of this is during Russian Roulette when Sara asks why he trusts her so much, in which he replies that it's because she's cute. Another occasion is when Reko asks what Keiji and Sara are doing, he replies that the two are on a date.
(Comforting a very shaken Sara till she dozed off. Understands what she’s going through since he too is being tormented by his own hallucinations.)
"Sara…? Nodded off, eh…Well, shucks…You too, huh, Sara…? You can’t…acknowledge the hallucinations. Once they’re burned into your brain...Don’t end up like Mr Policeman."
(Explaining why he can’t bring himself to shoot a gun. Shaken from a traumatic incident.)
"I'm a killer. Not even permitted... to be judged by the law... A true piece of shit burdened with my sin for life."
(Sara has been given a deadly dose of poison. Keiji is desperate to save her. )
"Sara…? Wha…Hang in there, Sara!! …Ugh…!! Maybe there’s an antidote in the Medical Office!…Don’t die…!"

Being a little odd, Mishima often chuckles after sentences, and his emotions are often in conflict with his appearance. Mishima seems to enjoy acting strangely to amuse others, behaving in cryptic ways and being overly analytical of everyone's actions. His unusual social quirks aside, Mishima makes it clear he has no ill intentions and frequently reminds others to be safe and cautious. Despite his appearance, Mishima is an incredibly kind, caring, and encouraging person. After his A.I. self learned about how much suffering Nao was going through after his death, he could only blame himself for it. He deeply regrets not being able to live longer, because he only wanted to protect Nao. He also regrets not being able to live on to see Nao continue to grow, as well as his other students.
Despite the pride he takes in Nao as her former teacher, his compassion extends to all of the other Death Game participants. During the first chapter, he shows great concern for Kanna and even helps to spur her onward towards hope, albeit by lying about the circumstances of the first trial.
His personality is further expanded upon in the side-story, where he is the first protagonist. As a leader, he is compassionate, willing to listen, and knowledgeable. Most of his individual events consist of him either giving advice or letting other characters open up to him. Despite being primarily an academic and artist, he demonstrates great practical knowledge - during one of Joe's events, he is able to discern poisonous tropical berries from safe ones.
(Telling Kanna she had no chance of saving her sister, though he’s lying to protect her)
"I suppose it was a trial of…both assessing the situation, and of might. For you and your sister…It was a trial with hardly any chance of success…"
(Attempting to console Kanna on the death of her sister so she doesn’t blame herself)
"Miss Kanna, I can sense that you were loved as if it were in the very air. Surely…Surely, you were raised with the utmost care, were you not? I’m sure she was a wonderful sister."
(Introduction)
"I am Kazumi Mishima. I teach at a certain high school…Mwahaha…Incidentally, I teach Japanese and art…Mwahaha…"
WIKI - Vocal Range: Medium/Medium Low - Age: Mid 20s.
Alice has a short fuse and holds little trust for the other participants. Because of this, he tends to go off on his own and often pushes others away when they want to work with or talk to him. He is quite aggressive in the way he speaks, but with enough persuasion and trust, he can be kind and helpful.
He can act a bit childish at times, as seen when he complains and refuses to eat any of the bitter melon served to him by Safalin, telling Sara that he would talk to her if she ate all of the "green parts" in the stir-fry. This is also shown in Island Mode when he gets angry at Mishima because the shoes he made for him aren't striped, and again because the stripes are vertical and not horizontal.
His mother tried to raise him as a girl during his childhood, because of this he slips into a feminine manner of speech when flustered or surprised.
(Believes he sees a murderer on the loose.)
"Hm…? You…Eee…EYAAAAAAAAGH!! Why is SHE walking around freely?! Hurry, hurry! Somebody capture her!!"
(Matter of fact. The main game is coming and everyone is stressed, scared and desperate)
"It shouldn’t matter to you if anything unfavourable happens to us. In the Main Game, everyone is an enemy… Again, at least two people will die! It might be you and me next…!"
(Been told by antagonists that they’ve killed someone very important to him. Pure rage.)
"Inconceivable…such blatant lies...All...lies...I’ll kill you. I’LL KILL YOOOOOOOU!!! YOU… NO MATTER WHAT!!!!"

Although Miley is called "The Laughing Doll", she isn't as friendly as her name seems to hint.
Miley is sadistic; enjoys seeing the participants in the death game suffer, and even goes as far as to torment them by dangling hope before crushing it. She enjoys toying with their despair as the participants start questioning their chances of survival.
Miley also has her own plans and agenda, dropping valuable clues to Sara even as she mocks her. She doesn't care about Sara personally, but she derives amusement in seeing how she and the other participants will react to unexpected information.
(Introduction)
"Hehe. Then we’ll begin with my introduction…My name is Sue Miley, the Laughing Doll. I am the doll who will guide you on this floor. My master has instructed me to guide you brave souls, who have overcome several trials, to the Main Game."
(Toys/Torments Kanna by telling her she’s at fault for her older sister’s death.)
"Heehee…heeheehee…You annoy me, you powerless little girl…No. You sister-killer. Hahaha, I saw all of it. How miserable you were in your First Trial, Kanna. Your actions killed your sister."
(Was just beat over the head with a frying pan by Kai for toying and tormenting Kanna.)
"Gah…You little…!! Don’t think you can do this…and just get away scot-free…!! Dammit!! Damn it!! I’ll remember this!! I’ll be waiting…on the grounds of the Main Game…!"

Ranger was created with nearly only negative personality traits and was devoid of any empathy or kindness until later in Chapter 2. He speaks rudely and disrespectfully to everyone except for his father. Ranger feels sadistic glee at human despair, and most of his actions are done so that he might incite misery in the people around him.
In truth, his hostility stems from a deeply-rooted inferiority complex toward humans. He pretends like he treats humans dismissively, but in truth, he pays a lot of attention to them - going as far as collecting clothing from dead participants to wear for himself.

"Hey, bastard! How you doing?"
(Finishing up his explanation to the MC Sara. Also somewhat threatening her at the end)
"Anyway, guess that's about that. Do your best not to die, Sara Chidouin! Though if you do die, I'll be taking those clothes off your hands... Got me?"
(Legit about to do a recap of the previous chapters. Kinda being sassy at the end)
"Hey! How ya doin'? I'm gonna take you on a stroll down memory lane, recap the story so far. Be grateful, ya bastard! 'Course, if you're thinkin' "thanks but no thanks," you're free to leave, okay?"

Role:
Meister is a minor role that appears in the 1st and 3rd chapters of the game, and is the first character that the main ensemble encounters. His main occupation at the beginning of the game is to instruct the ensemble on how to complete the “Russian Roulette” challenge.
Description:
Meister has a very sly and carefree personality. He almost acts like he has to participate out of obligation when he could be doing better things with his own time. With a very arrogant attitude, he comes off as condescending while instructing the ensemble on what to do, and doesn’t hesitate to mess around with them just to get a laugh out of it.

2. (TEASING/PLAYFUL)
3. (BELITTLING/CONDESCENDING)

“[CHUCKLE] Don’t sweat the details… I’m the master of this room. You can call me Meister.”
“Well, c’mon gang! If you take a look around, you’ll see there’s four chairs unoccupied. One of you will be the challenger, and the rest of you 4 will get nice and comfy and get ready for some target practice.”
“Easy, easy big guy! I gave you guys that cool weapon in the other room, didn’t I? Now, all you gotta do is decide which one of you the challenger’s gonna be.”
