Your Turn To Die Fandub
Project Overview
Hi friends~!
Thank you for your interest in this project! I'm hoping to collaborate with a bunch of voice actors to create a fandub of 'Your Turn To Die'!
I am a huge fan of the game and as far as I know a fandub has not been done of it yet. This is my first time creating this kind of project, I will be doing most of the work myself so any advice would be greatly appreciated! I think this will be great to add to showreels and work with voice actors all over the globe. It may be quite a long process but I really hope that you will stick around. I want to make sure that this will be a chill process that we can all enjoy, let's all have fun with it and share our love for voice acting!
*Deadline is the 8th of August*
SYNOPSIS:
Sara Chidouin returns home from school late one night to discover that something's gone terribly wrong.
When she comes to, she finds herself, her friend Joe, and 9 other people trapped in a mysterious place.
Placed in life-and-death situations, they must come to an agreement about what they should do - and who should die.
The role of Sara Chidouin has already been cast.
YOU MAY AUDITION FOR AS MANY CHARACTERS AS YOU LIKE - I am planning to cast doubles.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a good quality microphone, I do not mind what you use. As long as here is no background noise or echo.
- Be professional and friendly! I understand we all have busy lives and I will give reasonable deadlines! Just don't leave me hanging or be rude. I will have to recast your role(s) otherwise.
- Have a Skype account or an email address that you use regularly, this is how we will be able to contact each other.
- Be over 14 years of age, this game can get very dark.
- Give it your all! I'm looking for unique voices with emotion!
*DISCLAIMER*
- Your Turn To Die is a horror/puzzle/adventure game created by Nankidai. Translated by Vgperson.
- I do not own the video, I avoided providing any video that may give out spoilers. Thought it might give an idea on the look of the 'participants of the Death Game'!
I highly recommend checking out the game yourself, it's free and recently got translated to English!

(It is currently incomplete reaching up to Chapter Two, Part Two. I hope that they finish it!)
Looking forward to hearing all your auditions~!

Hi friends~! After MANY auditions from this casting call, and a couple of months of work into this project, we are holding a recast for 'Your Turn to Die Fandub'. Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances, we are in need of someone to fill the role of Kanna and potentially for Keiji as well. I am also looking for another editor. I have contacted a few of you from this audition page whom I highly considered for these roles last time to discuss callbacks~ If any of you or any friends you may have that you think would suit any of these roles would be interested, feel free to audition! First Round of Casting
Hello friends~!! Firstly I would like to say how amazed I am by some of the talent and auditions I have received so far! It's made me so excited for this project and I could not be happier with who I have cast so far!! I have cast some roles a little bit early for the following reasons: - The main reason being I am actually going on holiday soon and will come back the day of the original deadline, and I wanted to have most of my cast by then. - Another reason being I have been so excited that I have managed to get a lot of work done sooner than expected, so I can send info to the cast sooner and they can prep while I'm gone... might also be the fact that I was trying to finish it before my trip hehe~ If you haven't auditioned yet it's okay! I have still left some roles you can audition for, I don't plan on doing the second round of casting until earliest next week right before I go! If you have and you weren't cast, that's also okay! I have noted several auditions that I still love or have in mind for the roles still open! And there are also many roles that I haven't listed on this page that I may have people in mind for! I would recommend auditioning for 'Video Victims', that way I know that you'd be okay with voicing some smaller roles! Congrats to all who were cast in the first round of casting, I am so excited to be working with you all~!! PS. yo girl just got Discord so... um if you have that too that's great! I'm still learning how to use it haha! PPS. Shout out to those commenting under others' auditions, it truely brings me joy to see voice actors supporting other voice actors!!
Joe is one of Sara's closest friends who has been trapped with her in the Death Game. Joe is an extremely upbeat, considerate and loyal person. He is easily embarrassed when others misinterpret him, and is sensitive to how people perceive him. Like Sara, Joe puts in all his efforts to help the group succeed in the puzzles. He consistently convinces the group to believe in Sara and her abilities, and generally places most of his trust to her. It is shown in game that Joe is an optimist and likes to try to find the good in everything that the group encounters. Joe dislikes having his friends worry over him and will always put the people he loves and cares about above all else.
"I heard they opened as a super good kebab place!
Let's go there on the way home, I'll treat ya!"
"So, I worked up all my courage to punch the guy.
'Course, I'm awful at fighting so... Since I don't remember winning, I'm guessing I lost.
That's why... I know that stalker is the culprit in this case."
"Sure enough... It's hard for a guy and a girl to say this sorta stuff to each other, huh...?
I love ya, Sara! You're my best friend!!"
Keiji Shinogi is a participant in the Death Game. In game Keiji is shown to be one of the first people to put their trust in Sara and often helps her throughout the entirety of the Death Game. Keiji often refers to himself as the "friendly policeman". In the main games he can act cold and harsh towards those who he suspects, whereas outside of the main games he may act trusting and kind towards all of those entrapped in the Death Game with him. Keiji also possesses the ability to read human emotion and can see through those who may be hiding something or lying to him or Sara.
"Hey now, everybody, don't lose your cool.
You've got your friendly policeman here."
"Wahah... Got it. I'll do this.
If we survive that Main Game thing, I'll tell you.
Doubt it'd be easy to avoid. These people aren't gonna allow that.
And once it begins... Everyone'll be serious.
And myself... I don't wanna die either.
But if you survive regardless, and you're still curious about me...
I'll be fine with telling you and you alone."
"... I'm a killer.
Not even permitted... to be judged by the law...
... A true piece of shit, burdened with my sin for life."
Kai Satou claims to be your average homemaker, and like the other participants is trapped within the game. Though no one finds him unusual aside from the kitchen utensils he carries, Sara is an exception as she finds him unusually familiar. Kai has an aloof nature, often quiet, even during intense discussions and accusations. Because of his quiet nature, he isn't considered to be much of a person of interest to the group. Though like the others, he makes it apparent that he wishes to try his best to contribute to their advancement, even if his weird aura puts Sara at unease.
"Forgive me. The hand with the frying pan must have slipped.
So even dolls bleed red."
"On the contrary... I ask that you don't think you'll be getting away with so little as this.
I will have you pay for toying with people's lives."
"I will reman a shadow, never known... and just continue to protect miss Sara."
Sou Hiyori is a 20-22 year old male who jumps various different jobs (or so he says). Sou is a complex character with multiple personalities. To a majority of the group, Sou behaves as incredibly helpful, generous and knowledgeable figure. Although, when speaking to Sara alone, Sou reveals a more threatening side as he stresses his disdain and distrust for her. He frequently uses his own intelligence in manipulation to get other participants to do his bidding as well, and often will derail discussions for seemingly his own amusement.
"My name's Sou Hiyori.
Err... well. Just a job-hopper. Ahaha..."
"Hahahahaha...!!
Amazing, miss Sara. You're prodigy at seizing people's hearts!
Shameful the rest of you. The riffraff.
Don't you value your lives? Don't you doubt when others are kind?
Do you not even have brains to think for yourselves?
Death is just a matter of time for you. That's the way weaklings live!
Hahahahahahahahahaha!!"
"And now...
It's your turn to die... miss Sara."
Kanna is a young middle school girl and another participant who finds herself trapped in the Death Game. Kanna is shown to be a person that resembles "a little sister". She can be dependent and often relies on other people to help her out due to the fact that she often believes that she is incapable of helping herself, or those around her. Kanna is shown to be able to get upset easily, and is one of the most vulnerable and unstable of the group. Kanna is also quite childish, and can be easily swayed by others words and actions. While weak during most moments, Kanna with enough motivation can be a useful figure during the Main Game.
"Sniff... T-thank you very much..."
"A... Awful... Why would you do this?!"
Everyone... everyone's a good person here...!!
How can you do this...?! What did we do?!
I won't let this stand...!!"
"Kanna... doesn't really mind if she's picked...
She's had... enough... Kanna just...
... wants to see her sister..."
Reko Yabusame is another participant in the Death Game. Reko is known as the lead singer in her rock band. In general she is a friendly person however she can lose her cool at times. Reko seems to act kinder to those who may be seen as "weak", this is shown when Reko immediately comforts Kanna and acts differently towards her when finding out about her sister. Reko finds it difficult to not panic in certain situations and she is also afraid of the dark.
"Graaah!! We've been abducted!
By some crazy assholes!!"
"You stop right there, Joe!!
Stop it...! Don't say another word... I'm beggin' you...!!
I'll talk! I'll tell you everything!!"
"You're overworking yourself.
You've saved our asses again and again.
And I'm supposed to be older... I'm pathetic...
I want to be equals with you, Sara.
It won't satisfy me to just keep getting saved."
Q-Taro is another participant in the Death Game. Q-Taro is a baseball player who claims that he is on the verge of making his big comeback. He finds it very difficult to trust those around him, as he believes more in evidence of peoples characters rather than speculation. His restrictive trust exists because Q-Taro hopes that he's able to protect everyone from any dangers that the Death Game. Although sometimes he may come across as aggressive, he's very truthful and is more of a logical thinking person rather than thinking with his emotions.
"Q-Taro Burgerberg! I'm a baseball player! Second-string, though!
193 centimeters! And strong to boot, y'hear!"
"Stop takin' nonesense...!!
Like we're gonna do somethin' like that!!"
"Then go ahead and vote for me!!
Vote what your will tells ya!!
If ya think I'm useless, then take responsibility and kill me, Reko!!"
Gin Ibushi is another participant in the Death Game, he's a grade school boy (12 years old) who often ends his sentences with "woof" or "meow". Gin tries to remain positive and optimistic in the situation that he's found himself and the other participants in. He shows in game that he trusts others easily and believes in most of the people that he meets. It's very rare to see Gin looking down or sad. He's very clingy and gets attached to those he meets and gives them nicknames. He becomes especially attached to Sara, and views her as a completely trustworthy and kind sibling figure. While he may be young, Gin always attempts his best to help the group by finding clues and remains strong despite the circumstances.
"My name is Gin Ibushi, woof!
I'm a 6th grader, meow!"
"B... Big sis Sara...
It's sinking lower and lower, meow...
Eee... ahh... big sis Saraaa!!
No, woof! I'm scaaared...!!
Help me, big sis Sara!!"
"You won't have scary dreams if we're together, woof.
Don't worry and relax, meow.
It's all that worrying about other people that's got you so tired, meow!
Big sis Sara! Believe in us and rest, meow!"
Nao Egokoro is another participant in the Death Game, She is the former student of Kazumi Mishima and recently graduated from high school. Nao is an upbeat, quirky, loyal and motivated girl. Easily frightened, Nao can become frantic over stress inducing situations. Her sometimes overwhelming panic can be quelled by her own force, but only if a person she cares about is in more danger than herself. She has a deep attachment to her mentor Mishima, and often relies on him to get her through difficult times.
"My name is Nao Egokoro!
It's thanks to Professor Mishima that I attend an art college now!"
"He's a really good teacher! Please don't judge a book by its cover!
The professor's a good person! Please believe me! Saraaaaa!"
"I've been hiding here the whole time with the lights turned off...
Since if the kidnappers find me, they'll take him...
I understand... that what I'm doing is wrong.
I've caused all of you trouble...
... I shouldn't be... acting like this forever, should I...
What... should I do...?"
Kazumi Mishima is another participant in the Death Game, he is Nao's former teacher and is quite eccentric in both appearance and personality. Being a little odd, Mishima often puffs mad scientist laughs after sentences, and his emotions often conflict with his appearance. Mishima seems to enjoy acting strange to amuse others, behaving cryptic and overly analytical of everyones actions. His unusual social quirks aside, Mishima makes it clear he has no ill intentions and frequently reminds others to be safe and cautious.
"I had quite a terrible experience eariler...
So I can't remain calm... Mwahaha."
"Stupendous! A level-headed child who does as his parents teach him!
Yet, this is indeed an emergency... Hrmmm."
"... If you were human, I suppose there would be.
Something like, cease this, if you have a heart."
Alice Yabusame is a convict found by Sara later in the Death Game. First referring to himself as "Gonbee Yamada", a fake-sounding name that he blatantly makes up on the spot. He is pretty much immediately remarked on as an extremely weird and suspicious. Alice acts as hostile, intimidating, and distrustful as one would expect a hardened criminal to be. But under that he's not a bad guy at all, showing quite a compassionate side when he does come to respect and trust members of the group.
"... Remove these ropes.
So long as you don't want me to crush you..."
"EYAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!
Why is SHE walking around freely?!
Hurry, hurry! Somebody capture her!!
I know! Oh yes I do! This girl is bad news!!"
"Let me apologize. I made you and our parents... suffer for so long...
It may sound flimsy! But it's how I really feel...!!
I'm truly sorry... Reko..."
Miley, the Laughing Doll, is the first floor master the participants encounter. A truely heartless being who uses the suffering of others as her source of amusement.
"Heehee. My name is Sue Miley, the Laughing Doll.
I am the doll who will guide you on this floor."
"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!
You annoy me, you powerless little girl... ... No.
You sister-killer."
"Dammit!! Damn it!! I'll remember this!!
I'll be waiting... on the grounds of the Main Game...!"
Rio Ranger, the Dress Up Doll, is the next floor master the participants encounter. Though none of the floor masters are nice people, Ranger is easily the cruelest of the lot. His outfit consists of the clothes and accessories of people killed over the course of the game, including those who never showed up.
"Hey there! You bastards slept well?"
"Whazza maaatter? My face scare you? C'mon Sara Chidouin!"
"It feels good, y'know...
Feels like it's full of the dead's regrets..."
Safalin, the Crying Doll, is the vice floor master under Rio. Pretty shamelessly wants the cast to keep playing the Main Games, but that doesn't mean she won't be hospitable about it. She runs the floor's medical facilities.
"Good to meet you, everyoneee...
I am the Vice Floor Master, the Crying Doll, Tia Safalin..."
"Sniff... Medical treatment for participants is just part of my job, you see..."
"C... Creepy...?! You're awful!
Boohoohoohoo..."
During the first half of chapter two, he's just the creepy guy who runs the prize corner. He does generally treat the participants politely, but ultimately he's willing to screw with people's lives for the sake of results he wants.
"I am a receptionist doll here to support you in your time living on the third floor.
I can trade and explain the prizes."
"For the burning flames of jealousy to turn one into a monster... that is just as human.
You are an impediment to the plan. A failure."
"Well then... I apologize you had to witness such unsightliness, everyone.
I invite you now again to the Main Game."
Sara's Father opted to keep Sara out of the loop regarding the Death Game and who she is. He is strict on keeping her safe and knowing as little as possible. Sara's Father is introduced by character flashbacks.
"Whoa! Suits you pretty well, eh?"
"In other words, it proves your initiation into the tradition of homemakers!
As well as... your bond with the Chidouin family."
"Gahaha! Your eyes are red!
Don't tell me you were cryin'?!"
A detective that trained Keiji Shinogi, who made shady dealings in her workplace. Megumi Sasahara is introduced by character flashbacks.
"Good to meet you too. I'm Megumi Sasahara.
... I suppose this makes me your trainer."
"... That's just what the law says. You've done nothing wrong."
"Please!! Press the switch!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooo!!!!!!"
People who were killed in their first trails. You can audition for any of the three victims. These roles will most likely be cast to those who may have another role, but I am also keen to cast as many talented voices as I can!
Man: "You're listening there, aren't you?! Help meeeee...!!
Damn yooou...!! I'll kill you!! I'll curse your name from hellllllllllll!!"
Boy: "Ain't it strange...? It doesn't hurt at all..."
When I'm bleeding this much from my gut? Why doesn't it hurt..."
Woman: "Stop ittt! I can't breathe...!!
I'll fire...!! So stop it!!"
