"Worlds Apart" Book Trailer
Project Overview
My name is Trenton Schroering, I'm a young author from Louisville, Kentucky, getting ready to wrap up production on my second novel. It is entitled "Worlds Apart", and it is a romance/mystery novel about a young man who falls in love with a woman on the internet, only to discover that she is not what she seems... Filled with nuance about the nature of the internet and how advancements in technology have changed the way that humans communicate with each other.
I am working on a video that will double as both an announcement trailer for the book as a pitch trailer for it-- something I can show people so that they are quickly introduced to the plot and characters. As of right now, this trailer will not be publicly posted and will only be for private use: and I do not foresee that changing in the future. However, it is a project that is very important to me, as this is the first time that many people I know (including my friends, family, and potential agents) will learn of the book's existence. I would love to work with a few talented young actors to help bring this project to life!
It will not be an extensive project, what is listed is pretty much the entirety of the character's lines (Francis Vogel may have 50-60 more words to say). However, actors will still be paid: $20 for each of the roles.

The narrator of our story. A young man of 18 who is on the verge of graduating high school, yet still not quite sure what he wants to do with his life. He's a varsity athlete on the football team, he gets good enough grades, and he's pretty certain he wants to go into the Air Force, but he struggles to find a "purpose" to it all. He struggles to find meaning in his life. But that doesn't mean he's not excited to live.
Francis should be tired-- not depressed, per se, just a bit tired, the way you would be if you stayed up too long and then tried to have a phone call. His voice is slower and on the deeper end of the spectrum, he speaks very casually no matter what he's saying and doesn't exactly worry about being "posh" or "proper", but you can obviously tell that he's a mature young man. Francis won't come off as awkward, in fact he comes off as rather suave and confident, maybe even a little cocky and condescending, but he always means well and doesn't want to offend anyone. He never shows much excitement in his voice, but he does have a strong sense of nostalgia and enjoys reminiscing about the past.
He's from the American Midwest, and his parents are German immigrants. Don't try to force an accent onto him, but if one comes naturally and enhances your take, go for it.

I never had a bad life. No, no, not at all... I got pretty much everything I ever wanted. My grades were great, not perfect, but... Good enough. My parents loved me, I had a wonderful group of friends, and the best hometown I could've ever asked for.
You're about to hear a story. In retrospect, I'm... Not all too proud of what I did. *Chuckle.* But this story needs to be told, and hey, if I'm not gonna tell it, who is?
This is a story of love... And friendship... It's about failure, and mistakes, and it may not have a very happy ending... It's a story about technology. And the internet. And about how my life changed forever on the day I got my first laptop.
The classic (American) football announcer-- overly excitable, very charismatic, not afraid to make a scene. Imagine what you'll see at a high school football game. He's not necessarily an experienced announcer nor the best at it, but he has a ton of school spirit and loves getting the kids riled up.
Don't worry about having a good microphone for this voice part, this will just be playing in the backgroundt, and will be covered up with the sound of cheering. It'll be a smaller role, but still very important, so please give it your all! :)

Francis Vogel, the senior, is out to kick... We have seen him twice today, once to attempt a 32-yarder, once to attempt a 39-yarder. Both were good... But now Vogel is staring down a *51* yard field goal.
Vogel lines up for the kick... On its way...! And iT'S GOOD! IT'S GOOD! THE COYOTES WIN, 38-37, IN OVERTIME! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! VOGEL IS GONNA SEND HIS TEAM TO THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!
This kid is *automatic*! He's one of the only 18 year olds I've ever seen who can come out here, with all that pressure on his shoulders, and then deliver the game-winning kick, every! Single! Time!
