Project Magis: An Audiodrama Adventure
Project Overview
This is a passion project already deep in collaboration and creative creation!
We have plenty of main roles and can provide an opportunity for voice actors to work in collaboration with a large group of writers, all experienced and skilled in story telling as well as creative writing. This project will be an ongoing affair with many new characters and new auditions. So if a role is taken, don't fear as new characters are being introduced constantly!
About: The world of Project Magis is much like Earth with similar climates, the same rules of gravity and survival but with a big 'ol fantasy twist! There is quite in depth lore and backstory if you wish to really get into it, but our directors will provide you with any key information needed to inform how you deliver your lines. So no need to read up, but if you are cast and are interested in the direction of where the drama is going, we will send you all the information documents to read through!
Story Line (very brief): The world is an old planet, having civilisations on it for years, yet for some time an organisation has been in charge of overseeing the wellbeing and rule of the lands. The Triangular Truce is a council much like Earth's 'United Nations' rules Liphilius, however with a council members mysterious disappearance there is now an opening for someone to run for Councillor. Chapter 1 of this AD is about the three parties that gather themselves to run for the position; intrigue, information and power all play in how well a party will go.
Requirements:
- Good quality microphone, or if your quality is a little sub-par, the ability to post-edit it to a better quality.
- No background noise
- Willingness to collaborate and work in partnership with a number of writers
- Commitment (as many of these characters have a main, long sustained role and recasting would be a shame)
- A Discord account (this is where we will communicate with each other and send files)
Goal/Aim/Finished Product: At this point we are being realistic and are only envisioning a kind of podcast/audio drama type of project, but if we have any success we may have enough resources to hire an artist and create a visual/audio novella of sorts.
What do you get out of this?: This work will be publicly published and as such you will be credited, allowing for you to gain visibility while simultaneously adding to your own acting portfolio! You will also gain references who can recommend you for future projects and perhaps give you an edge in future auditions. You will gain a deeper understanding of collaborative creation with a group of people who all love what they're doing and are very accommodating and open to your opinions or ideas!

Updates, and announcement
Hey guys! With episodes 1 release, we're already hard at work on episodes 2 and 3. We most likely won't be casting new roles for a while, but since there are over 150 of you wonderful voice actors here, i have something to hold you over. This project is headed by a friend of our channel, and is something we'd like to advertise to help them out. They're producing a musical retelling of the extremely popular internet series, The Dream SMP. Its fully animated, features amazing original songs, and is something i highly recommend you check out. Episode 1 Release!
Hello all! Thank you guys so much for your constant and consistent support! Thanks to the wonderful voice actors, writers, and directors, we were able to get episode 1 of Project Magis published to Youtube. Episode 2 Casting Call and Update
Hello Lads and Lasses! Episode 1's release is right around the corner, and we should have it out by around Christmas! You may have noticed, but in the Casting Call we've linked our trailer! Heya guys! Thank you all for the absolutely wonderful auditions for Narrator! Sadly, we couldn't take all of you, but i will say that everyone who auditioned and did not get cast should keep going and audition for everything! You guys were great, and we got so many that we could only select the top 5 or so. Not gonna name names, thats rude, but if you got a dm from me, you know who you are. Please, don't give up, always keep auditioning, and never stop doing what you love. As of right now, i don't think we have many more roles left. There may be one or two, in which case ill update you here, but for now, thanks so very much for your participation. Dimitri was raised to be the perfect servant by a rigorous training program that bought children from the slave trade. Therefore he was taught to be pristine, adaptable, polite, and to put his best foot forward. However, away from those he serves, he is a self-assured person that loves his independence. He views his servitude as a chain around his life, which leads him to be bitter towards the elite around him. He continues to do his job faithfully due to a programmed sense of responsibility. With those he's comfortable around, he's earnest, blunt, and kind.

(Drunk, nervously flirtatious) "No offense taken, Miss Zoya. While surprising, your actions were enlightening and proved my point. You are quite skilled, incredibly so. That's speaking as someone who got to see a bit of your skill. And as someone who wishes to pay you a genuinecompliment."

Nesryn is a woman of practiced composure and addresses most people in an almost unnaturally polite fashion. Quiet, she's an observer, preferring to listen and watch rather than talk and draw attention. Her demeanor tends to be kind and gentle, her movements soft and delicate, though these traits have others often mistake her as an innocent and fragile girl. She uses this to her advantage, her kills often dying with looks of utter shock.

Asena is a trained warrior, part of the Nomadic Warrior's Guild who can be commissioned to peacekeeping duties outside the abilities of local authorities. She is battle hardened and skilled with the sword and Heli magis (fire magic) able to defend herself and others with ease. She is humbled by the fact she has been nominated as a candidate for the election and unsure of herself in political situations, but Asena's heart of gold shines in a world of corruption and self-gain.

His family owns the largest trading company in Liphilius and is know for their wealth, lavish parties and skill in trade. Malachi is the youngest of two sons, and as such can relax without the weight of heirdom on his shoulders- this also makes him an unoccupied rascal; womaniser, charming, manipulative and a gambler. Though he is betrothed to a noble woman for his family's reputation's sake- he has no qualms about side affairs.
While he is kiiiind of a jerk, he gets away with it by how likeable and charming he appears.

Eir’Asa is a Draconian (mix of human and dragonborn) male with a caring, yet clinical mindset. He is a member of the Flames of Embra, a religious group that is very prominent in Liphilius. He is the only living member of a disgraced noble family in the Draconian country of Glapera, a family caught at odds and in a bitter feud with the Hythians. This has led to him taking the role of healer of the sick, a philanthropist to the lost, and an advisor to Lady Gabrielle Brighteye. Although his voice is soft and his tone pleasant, the man’s words are pragmatic and to the point. Therefore, he can come across as literal, preachy, and a bit narrow-minded. He is a caring man, but views most people around him as patients or sinners in need of saving. However, his obsession with “fixing” everyone and his devotion to his work leads him to come across as quirky and a little intense when it comes to matters he’s passionate about.

For most of the podcast, you will remain a third person narrator but there are sections where I plan to break that and have you as your own sort of character. (As seen in the first audition line)
I want to see what personality and vibe you give them, make them your own. If you want to add lines go ahead, if you want to be cheeky and skip some- go ahead!

Ah, I see you've found yourself in one of the more forgotten parts of this vast library. Not many wander down into this section anymore; it's filled with tomes (t-oh-mz) and tomes of legends. Legends on which our society is built on; wars and stories that intertwine to weave the fabric of today.
This book? Ah, I see you're a curious one. What is written here is the history of Liphilius (Liff-ill-ee-us) but... it's incomplete. If you have the time to stay and the mind to listen, I can tell you it all.
You wish to hear? I must warn you; to listen to these tales is to accept the burden of knowing them. You then have the responsibility to pass them on as well, as I have done many times to folk like you who come wandering.
It is not for the feint of heart...
