Story:Thanks to a minor magical mishap, 10 year old Petra is now the Head Witch of Fenloft Academy! …Too bad she doesn’t know anything about magic… or running a school!
It’s your job to help Petra navigate her chaotic new life; attending classes, boosting skills, exploring a sprawling campus, uncovering secrets, and juggling Head Witch duties along the way! She might not be the most talented witch, but she’s pure of heart and determined to get things right. Whether she’s balancing the school budget or saving her friends from lurking dark magic, one thing’s for certain, it’s going to be an interesting year.
Witch Please is a charming visual novel with skill-boosting, strategy, and branching paths, featuring an original soundtrack, gorgeous artwork, and delightful characters.

We’re Steamy Buns Games, a small female-led indie team based in Kelowna, BC (Canada). We love making cozy games with strong characters and heartfelt stories. Witch Please is our passion project, built in our personal time alongside full-time jobs at another game studio.
About the Casting CallWe’re looking to commission a few talented voice actors to bring our magical characters to life. Audition details and character descriptions are listed below, along with sample lines.
Details:Eligibility: English-speaking voice actors, 18+ only. While Witch Please contains no adult content, we require all contractors to be 18 or older for legal reasons (e.g., signing contracts).
Recording quality: Must have a good mic with clean audio (no background noise).
Line count: ~100–700 words per side character (more for main characters).
Compensation: Indie studio rates -we’ll work with you to agree on something fair for the scope of the script. Whatever your professional rate is, we can work with.

Alice is a little bit nocturnal. Rumor has it she wanders the campus at night collecting people's fingernail clippings, but the truth is that if she wanted your fingernail clippings, she'd probably just ask for them. Anyway, she's the friend you go to when you need a little "off the record" help. Just don't be surprised if she asks you to stay and help her build her flea circus afterwards.
Her voice should be low, soft, and thoughtful, but still child-like.

Optimistic to a fault, Cecil can find the good in anything and anyone. That's probably why he's friends with Lucas! He's known as "the nice one" of the duo, and it's true. He's kind, studious, welcoming, and genuine, which all adds up to him actually being a lot more popular than he realizes.
His voice should sound boyish, down-to-earth, and friendly.

There's no problem so big it can't be solved with good food! That's Chef Maple's philosophy, and so far it's never let her down. If you're looking for a warm hug, a bit of motherly advice, or just a snack, you can usually find Maple down in the kitchen surrounded by various bubbling cauldrons and glowing ovens. She takes a lot of pride in her cooking, so if you don't like it, be prepared to defend your position with supporting evidence and bibliographic citations to back it up!
Her voice should sound mature, sometimes frazzled, but ultimately easygoing - like a grandmother who's perpetually exasperated but loves you dearly nonetheless.

Actually, Clive's a nice dude who just happens to love exercise and extra fries in equal measure. He takes himself, his schoolwork, and life in general pretty seriously, but that's not to say he won't participate in a prank war from time to time.
His voice should be youthful and energetic, with maybe a little bit of raspiness or a lower pitch.

Much like his grandfather (Professor Rory Wigglesworth), Dusty is astonishingly absent-minded and never seems completely sure of where he is or how he got there. He's also deathly afraid of... well, most things. At the end of the day, though, Dusty is a funny, friendly student who knows how to cheer people up when they're sad - and that's a very special gift.
His voice should sound very young and nervous.

Her voice should sound prim and a little stuck-up, but still kind.

Gwen is here to right wrongs and triumph over evil. Whether it's vision care for newts, black cat appreciation, or the popular "warts n' all" self-acceptance movement, this young witch is always ready to stand up for a good cause. She's often seen carrying a clipboard around campus and asking people to sign her petitions. A little intimidating, maybe, but she's a thoughtful and tactful friend.
Her voice should sound youthful, filled with confidence and determination, and with a very matter-of-fact delivery.

Lucas has a serious competitive streak, which sucks for him because he's just not that good at things. Frequently losing makes him surly and a little mean, but beneath that hardened exterior there's a lonely boy who feels a lot of feelings and hasn't yet learned his inherent value. It's too bad you got off on the wrong foot, huh?
His voice should sound youthful and boyish. He's frequently sarcastic and laughs at the expense of others, but he has moments of frustration as well. When he does start to open up and show a softer side, he's deeply uncomfortable and shy about it.

After accidentally becoming both student and Head Witch at the mysterious magic school Fenloft, a whole wide world is opened up for her to explore - and protect! Though Petra isn't particularly talented, she's (mostly) pure of heart and determined to do right by those who are counting on her.
Her voice should sound youthful and bright, with lots of range for different emotions. She's typically cheery and optimistic, but at times she experiences fear, sorrow, embarrassment, and anger.

Though she's quite shy, she's sure to be a big help in your efforts to learn about magic.
Her voice should sound peaceful, intelligent, and thoughtful. She also speaks softly, of course, because she's a librarian!

He's a serious, unflinching man who expects a lot from those around him, particularly his son Lucas. You probably don't want to crack a joke near this teacher… Unless you enjoy being lectured?
His voice should be deep, powerful, and intimidating. He is often blunt and very serious.

Some people just aren't very good at being human. Edward is one of them. Specializing in transfiguration magic, he can often be found in his preferred form: either partially or mostly reptilian. He's a bit of a rogue with a melancholic streak, but mostly he's a voice of quiet encouragement. At the end of the day, he simply believes that everyone deserves a life that fulfils them.
His voice should be masculine but soft and contemplative. He should speak slowly, with a soothing tone of voice that contradicts his exciting lifestyle and roguish qualities. Essentially, you wouldn't expect him to be the daring risk-taker that he is.

Gray's voice should sound neither masculine nor feminine, but low, serious, and reserved.

Rory is the most senior of all the senior staff at Fenloft. This is, quite simply, because he's been around for such an exceptionally long time. But it's not his age that makes him forgetful, aimless, and overly sleepy, oh no! He's always been like that! The important thing is that Rory has a big, grandfatherly heart, and while he might not be the most exciting teacher, he is the most uninteresting.
For the most part, he should sound sweet and old. Though he can sometimes be strict, it should be a little hard to take him seriously - he's just too cute!

Shiloh teaches magical chemistry, AKA potions class. Intelligent, curious, and logical, her one weird quirk is that she's unreasonably terrified of germs and chemicals. This has made her a very "hands-off" kind of instructor who puts the onus on her students when it comes to touching and mixing ingredients. She also grades their work from afar, wearing gloves, goggles, and sometimes even a gas mask.
She should sound mature and intelligent, but easily frazzled.

Valerie is one of Fenloft's younger teachers, and it shows through her peppy personality. She's always eager to talk sports and tell jokes.
Her voice should sound peppy and enthusiastic.

Her voice should sound mature, motherly, and sweet, but should also have the capacity for vicious anger.
