INTRODUCTION
Whistle Blower is an animated independent short film currently being produced by a small team of passionate and talented artists.
On the most adventurous day of the scout summer camp, the squad's hike, Anna slips and injures herself, Isa insists for the day hike to end prematurely.
On the way back to the main camp Anna can't find her precious ocarina, it all seems like Isa stole it.
When confronting her superior Charlotte, Anna gets crushed by the deep ramification of how Isa's actions affect the relationships inside of the Scout Troop.
Will Anna reveal the truth about Isa's action?
STATUS OF THE PROJECT
We have the script signed off, however, we're currently working on the animatic and recording temp voices.
Because of this, the dialogue is subject to change, and we're waiting for the animatic to be complete before having a better idea of the lines count.
The project is currently in production without a hard deadline, because the members of the team are contributing for the most part in their own free time.
The short film will hopefully go for a festival round as soon as finished, and eventually be shared on Youtube / Vimeo.
Everyone involved will always be included in the credits.
Everyone involved will be able to showcase parts or the entirety of the short film as a portfolio piece only after the movie is released publicly on Youtube / Vimeo in order to permit the distribution to festivals.
If there's enough request I will also make the IMDB page with full credits.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're Looking for voice actors to voice 9 characters, 4 girls and 4 boys (between 10 and 16 years old), and 1 adult woman (26-30 years old).
Of which 3 of the boys are extras and don't have lines apart reactions/sighs/laughter.
Ideally young sounding voices for the 8 scouts, and one more adult sounding voice for the adult woman.
However, I wouldn't exclude more adult voices as long as the attitude is right.
We're aiming towards naturalistic dialogue, so we will be happy to welcome input from the voice actors.
The following are some good references for the type of dialog quality we're aiming for, check the rhythm and the characterization:
The dialogue of the film is embellished by some light cursing, however, the overall tone is endearing, wholesome, and natural.
In order to achieve the rhythm of natural dialogue, ideally, we would try and organize the recording simultaneously on discord.
The movie language is English, but different accents are more than welcome!
It's necessary to have a good quality microphone and ensure a recording with no background noise, static, hisses, and pops.
Please make sure to upload your audition in .wav format 48khz and 24 bit.
We want to make life as easy as possible for our talented sound engineer.
All communication will happen through discord.
PAYMENT
The project has a very limited budget, in fact, there's no money involved between the core team of artists.
For the right voice Actors, it will be one payment of 50 Euro for the lead and supporting characters, and one payment of 30 Euro for the extra characters.

Anna (12 years old) is the protagonist of the movie.
Clumsy, sincere, and not very talkative. Coming from the countryside, Anna doesn't go to the same school as all the others, so she's excluded from the main gossip.
She'd like to gossip too but is careful about it.
She has a lisp.

Isa (12 years old) is the antagonist of the movie. She's abrasive and charming, and she polishes a different version of herself for every person she interacts with.
Imagine the chatter of Regina in mean girls and the outgoing vengeful attitude of Kelly Kapoor of the Office.

I don't know. I'm just glad she's going somewhere else.

Charlotte (26 years old) is the Troop Chief. She's the only adult and is in charge of the summer camp.
She's clumsy and terrible at hiding it!
However, she tries hard to make things right and really cares about the organization.
But despite her best efforts, sometimes things just won't go according to plan.
She tries to sound motherly, but in the end, just comes across as a nervous older sister.
Imagine Scout Master Ward in Moonrise Kingdom meets Liz Lemon in 30 Rocks.
Explorers, today you are going to leave the comfort of this basecamp for a squad hike.
Cunny (12 years old) is a hypochondriac and considered by many a chatterbox. Because of this nobody ever listens to him, and most of the time rightfully so!
He's a stubborn boy, independent, and goes his own way, however, being so focused on himself he can behave selfishly and uncaring.
Imagine a young JD from Scrubs.
I'm not ready to go to sleep yet.. And I want to stay away from these assholes as much as possible now.

Emy (16 years old) is the chief of the Puffin squad.
She's firm and severe.
Likes to slag everyone, but will feel defensive when slagged in return.
She's a good beacon of security.

Oh come on, I was just asking what all the fuss was about.
Gioffa (10 years old) is the youngest, she wants to prove herself at all costs but she feels squashed by the hierarchy of the troop.
Gioffa speaks very fast, is extremely naive, and has loads of boring anecdotes she uses to try to impress others.
She has strong mood swings, however she'll always do what she's told by people she feels are higher up the totem pole.
Imagine Gretchen in Mean Girls meets Chunk from The Goonies

A scratch should never be underestimated, one of my cousins cut his knee last week, and now he has an infection!
These are the remaining 3 boys, that can be voiced by the same person.
They are energetic, young, love to tease each other, and laugh a lot. The parts they'll be doing are mostly laughter, screams, reactions.
