Westernology - Looking for cartoon voice actors for a cartoon purposefully made in MS Paint!

Project Overview

I am a self-taught animator who is currently working on a full-fledged cartoon on Youtube. However, that turns out to take a long time. Therefore, my solution to keep my channel active is to make a filler "cartoon".


WHAT IT'S ABOUT:

A sheriff and deputy try to stay busy and keep a steady income in the boring town of Underbelly, full of mythological creatures,

ASSETS:

I'm trying to have an early-2000s badly-made Youtube cartoon aesthetic, but I would like to have sincere voice acting and story to contrast with that. That's where you come in! I have need of good voice actors for the characters in this world to keep people engaged.

PREREQUISITES:

-A decent mic (preferred: minimal noise, good range, pop filter)

-That's pretty much it.

RATING:

I made my channel with the intent of giving clean entertainment for everyone to enjoy, so it will be family-friendly (PG, at most). You can make a good show without cursing, gore, and violence. Just saying, heheh.

I'm not exactly strict when it comes to quality of voice acting, but I can't choose everyone! If you don't get chosen, then don't worry. Other ones will be hosted. Good luck!

  • Reaction Times from the Director to the Auditions

    So far, there have been FANTASTIC auditions to this project, and I would like to say, "Thank you all who have provided voice clips to these characters! You have given them unique inflections, accents, and character to the voices, and I've enjoyed them all." I am going to go ahead and shortlist some of you soon. However, I am on a trip currently, and will not be back until about four days after writing this. That being said: thank you for your patience. During this waiting period, you can be assured that I am working on the script, music, and episodical writing for Westernology. Again, thank you for your interest in this small project. Melgo is the sheriff of the town of Underbelly. He's a bit aggravatable, especially when he's hungry. He gets bored often, leading to some outrageous accusations against citizens, most commonly Tula, who usually steals his breakfast to grow her collection of bread. Overall a guy who will stay out of people's way unless it involves himself, his business, or Fiila, his best friend and deputy.

  • Your tie is twisted. Just like a pretzel; and that pretzel is your mind, and... and now I'm just really hungry. What were we talking about?

  • I just wanted a nice place to sit and take a nap! I didn't want to become a nice place to sit!

  • Oh! There goes the wheel. That's fine. My insurance will cover it... We don't have insurance? Haha... Even better.

Fiila is sheriff's deputy and and best friend to Melgo. She puts up with a lot of his foolishness and crankiness, and is proficient in tracking down people and capturing them. Very sarcastic, yet refined when resting.

  • My share isn't supposed to be "shared", come to think of it. It's mine. How funny is that?

  • I'm just gonna say: that building is far too high to climb. Now flying, on the other hand...

  • Wait, you got a gun? Why didn't I get a gun? Oh, we were low on funds? Well, why don't we just split the gun in half then? Problem solved!

Tula isn't really the person anyone wants to hang out with, except maybe Kuak. She steals breakfast from Melgo, talks trash to Fiila, and is basically despicable in all ways of manners. Relatively harmless, though.

Kuak is the nicest guy in town. You got a problem, he's going to try and do his best to fix it, even if it costs him an arm and a leg (which he can just buy anew at the general store. For some reason). He's so nice, that even Tula is nice to him!

  • I've been thinking of building a roller coaster. I'm scared of them, though, so I think of doing that while building small models of what I would build if I did.

Ful usually just wants to make a quick buck off of you. If he knows you well, enough, then he's probably going to, as well. So you've got to figure him out before he figures you out. Probably part of a gang of organized crime at one point, but he won't tell.

Nugit is the mayor of Underbelly. He tries to make it a more interesting place, but usually either goes about it the wrong way, or gets caught up in his hobbies. Not a bad guy. Just misunderstood,

  • You may come in! Be careful though: I left my papers by the door last night and forgo- Oh, you dunce! You've foiled my plans!
