Project Overview
Welcome to Velvet's Creepy Carnival is a Horror-Comedy audio drama.
Velvet's Creepy Carnival was once Velvet's Carnival Spectacular, entertaining and delighting kids and adults alike for many years, then something terrible happened, something that ruined the reputation of the carnival forever. Now, the carnival is but a corrupt, rundown shell of its former self. Danielle, a college student at Pyrebrook University, heard stories about the carnival and how anyone that went to look for it never came back. She decided to see it for herself and ended up a prisoner of the inhabitants that still live and work there. Will she escape? Or will she give in to the madness as she stays there?
REQUIREMENTS
Now, I expect high-quality audio. Please make sure your voice is clear to hear, and any background noise, clipping, or peaking is virtually nonexistent. Also, please make sure you list your Discord information as I intend to use it as my main base of operations in terms of production for this series. All voice lines for the project must be submitted in a .wav format. Now, I believe in payment upon completion of work, so payment shall come once each episode is completed and revenue has been generated. Finally, do make sure you have fun and don't take the project too seriously. That's all, thank you very much for your time and I cannot wait to hear your auditions.

Danielle is a college student living in Pyrebrook that heard about the carnival from some of the kids on campus. Curious, she goes out one night to see the carnival and ends up becoming a prisoner there. She is kind, tries her best to see the good in everyone, curious which oftentimes gets her into trouble, and not the bravest person you'd meet.
Voice: Medium-Low range, I hear her as like Selena Gomez-esque voice,
[Nervous] (Gulps) Okay, I can do this...it doesn't even look that spooky...just really run down.
(Screams out of fright, then breathes heavily) Oh my god, you scared the daylights outta me. Whoo okay umm first off hi, I'm Danielle and you are? [Beat] Ooookay, not a big talker that's cool, totally understandable, um anyways do you think maybe you can help me get outta here? I kinda had to jump a gate to get in here and I'm not seeing any exits so if you could just (Sees the woman raising a dagger in her hand) poin-point me in the direction of the exit (slowly starts to back away) I'd be very grateful and you know what? I think I can find my own way out but nice meeting you, hope you have a great night! (starts running)
Uh yeah, everything's fine, thank you for the bed and everything...I really appreciate it. (lets out a sigh of relief when they finally leave her alone) Oh god, oh god what have I gotten myself into? Mom what would you do? I'm not as brave as you, please just give me a sign. (starts to tear up) Because I don't know what to do.
Screwball is the clown at the carnival and she loves to kill, nothing makes her smile bigger and laugh louder than killing with her trusty dagger, Stabby. Not much is known on where Screwball came from, just that she is murderous and insane and she loves every minute of it!
Voice: Medium-High range. Very energetic and crazy-sounding, Think Harley Quinn but without the accent and 20 times more insane.
Aw but ain't that the thing? Life is one big joke, and death? That's the punchline! And it's kinda my job to deliver the punchlines around here sooo [Chuckles menacingly] I think your little brain can put the pieces together from there.
[Pouting] Oh you're no fun, is killing really such a bad thing? I don't think so. Now, why don't you let loose and have a little fun? Your death is gonna be a good one, but shhh no spoilers.
Insane? I'm not insane...I'm a screwball! [Laughs maniacally and derangedly for 7-8 seconds]
Boulder is the strong man of the carnival. He doesn't say much and when he does, it's either intimidating or heartwarming. He is very strong and will do a lot to help his friends.
Voice: Really low and gruff,
[Growls] Don't...mess...with...my friends.
Friends...make Boulder...happy.
I...crush man's skull...with my hands. [Lets out low chuckle]
Sparks is the carnival's resident magician. Magic is her pride and joy. If anyone were to talk bad about her shows at all, let's just say she would make sure they regret doing so.
Voice: Medium range. Think something like Colette from Ratatouille
Good evening my friends, and welcome! So glad you all could make it! For my first trick, I need a volunteer from the audience, hmm let's see, eeny meeny miny YOU! (Points at Danielle) Come onstage my dear. I won't hurt you...yet (chuckles sadistically)
[Threatening] You ever seen me make a body disappear? Keep talking and you'll get a clear demonstration. This is your only warning. Comprendre?
And that is how you saw a body in half! As for putting them back together? That I'm still trying to figure out. Well, I'm sure he won't mind leaving as two halves of his former self, now will you sir?
Maxwell is a carnival barker at the Creepy Carnival. He always enjoys letting people know about the food and drinks the carnival has to offer, but also the sadistic shows that may be shown.
Voice: Medium-High range. Think a mixture of a typical old-timey carnival barker and Alastor from Hazbin Hotel.
Hurry hurry hurry! One time only! This show will knock your socks off, boys and girls! Feast your eyes on the amazing Twister Sisters as they twist their bodies upon the trapeze, and then twist the bones out of another sorry sucker! Such a performance doesn't come every day, my friends, so hurry hurry hurry and come see it now before it disappears forever!
Look, sweetheart, I'm in this for the entertainment, not the pay. You think I can see a guy get bludgeoned to death via a corndog stick anywhere else? Yeah, that's what I thought.
You will be in charge of doing the artwork for the thumbnails on the videos, as well as the artwork within the videos themselves.
