Project Overview

Hello!

I'm currently creating a pilot episode for a web series call "Alchemist World." I plan to send this pilot episode to a few internet based companies as a pitch but I'm not too serious about that. I'm creating this animation mainly for fun. This project will be uploaded to Amazon on Demand at it's completion. Episode will be provided free to all those involved of course. There might be plans for future episodes but that depends on many factors. Factors I would discuss with my voice actors and musician/sound designers. Right now I can not offer any payment. If the factors are achieved for future episodes, then there will be payment for those episodes.

This will be pretty vague.

Alchemist World takes place in a fictional modern world where Alchemists and Spirits exists. Only 80% of humans can use Alchemy Magic. In order to use Alchemy Magic humans must use capsules with certain mixtures in them, to perform many different varieties of skills and magic. Those who can use Alchemy Magic are each granted a Gift. A Gift is a special ability that doesn't require the use of Magic. Those who train and harness their skills are called Alchemist. Alchemist fight spirits to protect humanity but recently many only fight spirits for fame and fortune.

This is all the information I want to release to the public at this time. Those who are selected will gain more information through the script and through me. =D Currently working on the rough storyboard. After it's completion I will start the production process.

This project will be a combination of pixel art and drawn art.

 Update: I did not know there were other roles you can assign on this site. I'm also looking for a sound designer and musician. =D

  • Main Character Roles are Cast!! Update!

    Thank you everyone who auditioned! The main character roles have been cast. There are still extra voices that are needed for this project that have very few lines or just one each. What ever we do not have cast by May 5th I will ask anyone who is part of the voice acting team if they will be interested in voicing for the extras in this animation. Like for example (Crowd Member 1) They are simply just extras with few lines. =) To those who are cast for roles, I will be emailing you the finalized script on May 5th and we will be using either email or Discord to discuss any questions or updating you all on the project. As this website has like a 2 min delay for me sending on message lol. I really appreciate those who are part of this team. Let us have fun making this project. I hope it will give you all a major boost in your respective careers! Thanks!

    Great job for all those who auditioned! I provided some feedback to some of you and one character has been cast! Feel free to re-audition! Some of you I like the voices but I'm just waiting a bit longer to give some more folks a chance to audition. Let's have fun! =D

  • Getting There!

    Hello all! Right now I'm going to be finalizing the script to have it ready for the voice actors. Once that is completed I'm going to start picking candidates for roles or recruiting some more talent off the site. =D Then production will begin!

K.C. is the sister to A.J. K.C hates Alchemist with a passion and does not seek to become one. She is very protective of her twin brother.  K.C. is serious, earnest, polite except for anything Alchemist related, she isn't afraid of confrontation, it's hard for her to be honest with herself at times, she has difficulties of being more straightforward, and she is somewhat mysterious at times.

    K.C.: [Pissed Off]“I knew it! Your obsession with Alchemists is going to get you killed!”

    K.C.: *Sighs* [Feels slightly guilty but reassuring] “I don’t mean anything by it A.J. I’m just worried about your safety. You shouldn’t be going anywhere near spirit battles unless I’m around. I’m just being realistic.”

  • K.C.: [DEATH STARE] “Didn’t I tell you before that I hate Alchemist A.J.! I’m not going to become an Alchemist! Ever!”

    K.C.: [DEATH STARE] “What?!”

    K.C.: [Crying] “You idiot! A.J. you idiot! I was so scared! I thought you were going to leave me all alone! Why don’t you ever listen to me?! Look at yourself! You’re all hurt!”

Eric is a vetern Licensed Alchemist. Eric is calm, collected, serious, independent, hard worker,  speaks bluntly, and is a matter of fact person. Eric is the type who keeps his promises to his friends but also keeps his distances and rather work alone. He doesn't like to showing his emotions very often but does care for others especially those underneath him. He hates the media and corporations.

  • Eric: “You know it is illegal to use your Alchemy powers and battle spirits without a proper license or approval by the Government.

  • Eric: “I’m on the School Board at W.C.A. Academy here on Indy Island for official business. One of the things I’m in charge of is student enrollment. I was the one who stumbled across your files while I was in the Office."

    Eric: “Yes. Your father is one of my closest friends and I owe him a lot. Plus, I made him a promise. This is the least I can do.”

David is full of inspiration, heroic with his words, a hero persona like straight out of a comic, colorful, dramatic flair, and has a can-do attitude. He is the father of the main character A.J. Unlike many modern day Alchemists who believe in money and fame, David believes Alchemists have a duty to defend and protect humanity.

Cocky Locky is a 18 year old girl who has just became a Licensed Alchemist. She is confident, flirtatious, but deep down is quite psychotic, and border line insane at times. (Won't be seeing her get insane in the pilot but maybe in the future) She tends to be annoyed by her fans (citizens who look up to her) and wouldn't mind seeing them get killed. She hates laws but tends to follow them and does her duties as an Alchemist despite her personality.

Full Metal is cold, ruthless, cares little for the safety of others, cares more about money than the lives of others, hates fans and civilians. He likes to earn his merit and abilities. Full Metal  can not stand being weaker than other Alchemists. It drives him to try to get stronger. Full Metal is filled with selfish pride and ambition.
