Update on casting call

Talented Voice Actor required for Mature Content Animation project
Project Overview
This casting call is concerning a single, significant role in an Animation project currently in the early stages of development. It is a role with demanding material, some explicit dialogue and contexts and is strictly for 18+ applicants who are comfortable with being very uncomfortable. Project is based around realistic, adult situations in terms of dialogue and content with a focus on drama rather then comedic elements. Voiceover tests are required for staging various sequences in terms of animation work, and the overall pacing of the material. This is a paid role. Payment will be negotiable to some degree - this is an independent project with limited budgeting on hand, but the difficulty of this particular role is well recognized.
Applicants can answer these questions alongside their audition submission, otherwise if they are shortlisted, they will be asked at that time.
1/ Are you comfortable with recording explicit dialogue? I.e. violent, intimidation, sexual, threats, other uncomfortable material?
2/ Are you comfortable with recording voice material for scenes involving sexual content? This includes non-verbal vocalizations of this form of content.
3/ What recording equipment do you use, and what is your availability for project work?
4/ Are you fine with producing multiple takes of material, and accept that some sequences may call for re-recordings to finalize work?

Jake is equal parts capable of being warm and accommodating, and utterly cold, menacing and sadistic. The former qualities are the mask he wears in public, but in a private setting, in the conditions he chooses, he can turn into a monstrous individual, devoid of empathy, driven by desire to control and hold power over others. He is mid-20s, tall, dark, handsome. Lines in this audition should demonstrate the actors range, ability to go from one extreme to another. There are indicators for each line for the tone to attach, but if you wish to attempt different tones across the lines, you are most welcome to. Accent is not a huge factor - however American / Australian is preferable. A deeper, more powerful voice will suit better. The ability to whisper and hiss lines will also be a factor. This is not for "overacting" in a conventional cartoon sense, the project deals with serious topics in a serious manner, the only difference being that it is animated instead of live-action.
