Jake is equal parts capable of being warm and accommodating, and utterly cold, menacing and sadistic. The former qualities are the mask he wears in public, but in a private setting, in the conditions he chooses, he can turn into a monstrous individual, devoid of empathy, driven by desire to control and hold power over others. He is mid-20s, tall, dark, handsome. Lines in this audition should demonstrate the actors range, ability to go from one extreme to another. There are indicators for each line for the tone to attach, but if you wish to attempt different tones across the lines, you are most welcome to. Accent is not a huge factor - however American / Australian is preferable. A deeper, more powerful voice will suit better. The ability to whisper and hiss lines will also be a factor. This is not for "overacting" in a conventional cartoon sense, the project deals with serious topics in a serious manner, the only difference being that it is animated instead of live-action.
