GAOXAN (THESIS PROJECT)
Project Overview
OVERVIEW:
Hi there! My name's Kieran, I am currently a Senior Animation Major at the School of Visual Arts! For my thesis film, Gaoxan, I am in search of voice actors, a Composer and a potential Sound Designer.
SYNOPSIS:A flying apex predator has ransacked a nomadic tribe’s new settlement. To protect their home, two hunters must journey to the creature's lair and slay it once and for all.
Goaxon is a 3-4 minute action/adventure short film. With a relatively simple premise, it is my hope I will be able to create a dynamic, immersive and engaging final product.
LANGUAGE:To better immerse the viewer into the film's setting, we have developed a fictional language for the human characters to speak called "Xanjiri". This is primarily a mix of Spanish and Samoan. Because of this, Spanish and Samoan speakers will be preferred for casting. English subtitles will be provided in the final product as well as possibly other languages down the line.
While auditioning in Spanish, Samoan or English is currently permitted and accommodated, please be aware that if you are casted, your film performance needs to be in Xanjiri.

Seeking Composer for a 3-4 Minute Action/Adventure thesis film.
This project is working on a Student Budget (I am open to discussing cost adjustment, within reason)

Deadlines for Music is TBD, but we are hoping the hired composer can begin work Late October - Early November, after the Animatic and Voice lines are both locked. Of course, the up to date animatic will be provided as reference for the composer to work from. Ideally The soundtrack should be complete by Late December - Early January at the latest.
