[What is Unconditional Fate?]
Unconditional Fate is a peculiar retelling of Hans Christian Anderson's story of "The Little Mermaid".
It's a Slowburn Boys Love that actually doesn't focus on just the romance, but the trials and tribulations of a sheltered merprince named Venille (pronounced "Vehn-eel") attempting to escape his fate and be with his true love, as well as a Sea Witch trying to obtain his desired final form. With a bit of forced marriage and magic, (and quite the bit of reluctance) sea witch Alice will do his best to help Venille reach his dreams!

[Why I'm here]
I wanted to make a voice-over trailer for new readers to read my story. With the comic finally reaching it's Season Finale (end of Book 1), I feel like it's now appropriate to make that fancy voiceover trailer I've dreamed of finally making to entice a bigger audience.
[What's the exact details of the project?]
I will be creating a 1 minute and 15 second promo of my comic, with an animated montage of what will happen in throughout the story, with the voices over it. Lines are all set, and the trailer has my voice as a placeholder! I like to voice act as a hobby, so I hope it'll be easy for you to follow along if you're picked!
This is NOT an ad/commercial since no one needs to pay to read my comic. It's just a fun way to promote my comic on my socials. Which is why this is set in the animation category instead of the ad category.
The art for it has still yet to be completed, so you may not see this trailer come to be for about a year or two since it will be just me drawing it.
[What to expect]
***First and foremost, this is a BOYS LOVE [BL] comic. If you dislike the genre or are against it in any way, I recommend you stay far away from this one, as you will be associated with it. This series also includes characters that are LGBTQIA+***
I will listen to all of the auditions when the call for the auditions has ended so that everyone has a fair chance to be heard.
If I can't find the right voice, I will reopen auditions.
- For a better chance at selection, please make sure your voice is clear with as little background noise as possible.
- English only.
- Discord or Email is required for communication. Discord is preferred, however, as I check that more frequently than my emails.
- Paypal is required. I will not pay in any other way.
- Payments are upfront, however, you must complete the lines needed within 60 days. If you fail to complete it, I will drop you and find another VA to take over.
- Your name will be credited at the end of the trailer.
If you are selected, I may reach out to you after this project is finished. There is a possibility of making more trailers in the future, or even voice-overs/dubs (All paid, of course). But for now, please keep this in mind if you're selected for a role: You may be needed in the future.
Time is precious and I ask you to only audition if you're serious about doing the work.

I've been working on my comic for three years, and I will create more for it in the years to come. Comic work isn't easy when it's just one person, and neither will this trailer, but it won't stop me from getting where I wanna be!
I also stream my work process on Twitch for the rough days to help me get through it! So I won't just pop in, cast you, and then disappear off the face of the earth! Well, I mean, unless I pass away but that's highly unlikely for now! (I hope)
In this time frame, I am currently working on my minigame of UF to celebrate the ending of Season 1 (Book 1)! The trailer is the next step up! Auditions close April 2nd (because if it was April 1st, you might think this is a joke lol)

Venille is the main lead. He's awkward, but friendly. Despite his sheltered upbringing, he's adventurous and adores sightseeing. Despite his optimistic and trusting nature, he can become rather rebellious, at times.
While he is a bit selfish at first, he eventually becomes more aware of his behavior and becomes kinder as he is beside Alice.

I want Venille's voice to be gentle, but can pack a punch when emotions are high. Nothing too high-pitched or too deep, though. A mid range would be great. Venille is 21, if this helps with how his voice could sound. In mer years, he is considered a young adult (18-20).

The second main lead.
A sea witch that only has one desire: To become an octopus. A truly kind individual who helps those who cannot help themselves, but only when they ask for it. He's overly ambitious, but is often carrying his own burdens which can make him seem standoffish. Despite his reserved nature, his heart is always in the right place.

I'm unsure of how I want his voice, but I am willing to listen to takes on what you might think he will sound like. However, I don't want his voice to be too high-pitched, nor too deep. I want it to be around the mid high range to mid-deep range. Alice is 24, if this helps with how you should consider his voice.

Cyril is Venille's father. The King of Royal Pearl, and the fiercest dragon of the East. Strict and filled with nothing but expectations, he has peculiar ways of caring for his children. While his intentions may be good, he has... methods that can be questionable despite it. He's a go-getter and always wanting things his way, even if it means killing to get it.

His voice should be a mid-range to deep range. Cyril is 88 years old, but please don't make him sound severely old. In human years, he's an adult! (32-40 in human years).

That's a perfect amount of time. Don't worry. (somewhat smug) Everyone is useful at one point in their lives.
Glinn is Venille's grandmother. She's an all-knowing fortune teller that does her best to not meddle too much into other people's business. Always lurking, yet never really there, is her style.
Despite always seeming distant, she loves her pearl and all of her grand-pearls dearly (her child and grandchildren).

I'm unsure of how I want her, but I am willing to listen to takes on what you might think she will sound like. Please don't make her voice too high pitched, however. I want it to be around the mid range to mid-deep for females. Glinn is 108 in mer years and considered to be around 52-60 in human years.
There is no need to make her sound feeble and old, as mers in this world do not age physically (they do not have child -> teen -> adult-> senior citizen). I'd like to cast a trans person for Glinn, as Glinn is MTF trans, but it is not required to be trans as long as the voice fits.
