Ultimate Heroes for Hire - FINAL CASTING CALL
Project Overview
This is meant to be the Final casting call for my Super Smash Bros Machinima series, Ultimate Heroes for Hire
Requirements:
You must be 18 or older. No Minors.
You must be comfortable using mild to strong profanity, suggestive themes, and other content meant for a teen-to-adult audience.
You must have a Discord account. All info and scripts will be posted here.
You must be willing and able to work long-term.
Communication is essential. You must respond to pings and DM’s as soon as you can, and inform me if at any point you become unavailable temporarily or permanently.
You may also audition through Discord DMs. If I have decided to cast you for the role you’ve auditioned for, I will send you a reply after the deadline has passed. If you do not receive a reply back, assume you have not been selected.

An old friend of Mewtwo’s. Known for his strength and kind heart, all of which have earned him the love and admiration of his friends. When an event known as the Multiverse Crisis began, he fought alongside Mewtwo to save their world from destruction. He will appear in flashbacks and visions. For his voice, I want something of an affable and friendly guy.

(Hostile) “The only purpose we have here is to kick your sorry butts and send you back where you came from!””
(Showing tough love) “A true champion would do whatever it takes to conquer his enemies, But you can’t do that, can you?”
The mother of Thor and Zeus. She is kind and caring and always looks for the best in people. She was a bit of a party girl before she had her children. And since then, she had done her best to keep them happy and thriving. She will frequently appear in flashbacks and visions. For her voice, I’m open to anything that gives off the vibe of a young but experienced mother.

The king of Dragondong and Cassandra’s father. He is very overprotective of his daughter, but he cares a great deal for her, as he does with the citizens of Dragondong. He has the voice of a strong and noble king. He asserts his authority where he needs to, but can be soft and tender as well.

“Good afternoon, citizens of Dragondong, and welcome to the Battlegrounds! This sprawling arena will be the site of the Dragondong Battle Royale, where our combatants shall be competing for the opportunity to marry my daughter, Princess Cassandra!
(To Himself) “Cassandra, my dear, I promise, once you’re home safe… I’m never letting you go again…”
(Shocked) “No… it can’t be! GUARDS! SEIZE HIM!!!”
Cassandra’s mother and Queen of Dragondong. Unlike her husband, Allison fully supports Cassandra’s efforts to be more independent, and even employs her most trusted guards to help her learn to fight. She is not afraid to speak her mind and heavily disapproves of Rhodon’s behavior. Her voice is very mature and regal. I am open to most interpretations.

(Trying to calm him) “Calm yourself, Rhodon. Cassandra is fully capable of taking care of herself.”
(Explaining) "In Dragondong tradition, a challenge is a test of honor, and if one declines a challenge, it is seen as an act of cowardice."
(Angry) “How dare you speak that way about your own daughter! This is YOUR fault for shutting her in instead of teaching her to fight!”
One of Cassandra’s personal bodyguards and closest friends. He along with his friend, Khan, have served loyally under King Rhodon. He and Khan helped train Cassandra to be a formidable fighter. But their training was cut short after the king discovered what they were doing. Genghis and Khan were reprimanded for undermining the king’s authority, but were given a chance to reclaim their lost honor by assisting in finding suitors for the tournament. He is laid back, but will come to arms when need. For his voice, I just want something of a young soldier. A reference for his voice would be Ferdinand von Aegir from FE 3H (Although not as proper with his speaking):

(Explaining) “See that was better: Instead of bracing for the attack, you attempted to counter it. That’s the key to beating the tricksters. You were able to notice when I was in your shadow… but what do you do when you’re in complete darkness?”
(Just saying) "With all due respect, sir, you always have been overprotective of Cassandra."
(Excited) “Your Majesty, we’ve found her! We found the princess! A convoy is bringing her to the palace as we speak!”
Another of Cassandra’s bodyguards. With the help of Queen Allison, he and Genghis were able to train Cassandra to become a fighter. It was Khan who helped Cassandra learn how to use Flare Blitz. While he has a more assertive authority when it comes to the Royal Guard, he too gives lenience to Cassandra to be herself. “With all the chaos happening around here, I’m not sure we’ll even get a chance. Do we have any more details on the mysterious visitors?”
“We’ve been searching high and low, Your Majesty, but still no sign of the princess. I hate to say this, but wherever she is, she’s probably out of our reach.”
(Surprised) “Cassandra?! I… I-I-I don’t believe it… Where have you been?”
Sephiroth is the first member of Tabuu’s “Elite Four”, which are his top generals in the Subspace Army. He joined after learning that Cloud had been found in the World of Light, and ultimately wants to meet him on the battlefield one last time. Sephiroth is cunning and charismatic, and is second only to Tabuu in terms of having a commanding aura. This has earned him the respect of his colleagues. However, he has no respect for the Board of Evil, and routinely mocks them for their repeated failures against the Ultimate Heroes.
For Sephiroth’s voice, I want something close to how he is in Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts.

“On behalf of Tabuu, I have come to extend an invitation to you all: surrender now, and he will allow you into the ranks of his army. You would be given the opportunity to dominate the Multiverse as champions.
(Taunting) “Don't be ridiculous. The very idea of being associated with your pathetic excuse for an organization is insulting.”
(Surprised) “It cannot be… How did you get here?!”
The second member of Tabuu’s Elite Four and the self-proclaimed nemesis of King Rhodon. Darkrai has targeted Cassandra as a means of revenge against the king, who banished him from Dragondong some time before Cassandra was born. His dark aura is so powerful that it inflicts terrible nightmares on those around him, a technique he used to harm Cassandra as a means of getting back at Rhodon for his supposed treachery. Darkrai is very spiteful and vindictive, and relishes in tormenting Cassandra any chance he can get. He knows she fears him, and he will readily use that to his advantage. For his voice, I want something dark and foreboding. A good reference for his voice would be Phantasm from the Batman Animated Series. (Ominous) “Princess Cassandra. Surely you don’t think I’d miss the chance to reunite with you, do you?”
(A hint of resentment) “That’s the role I was given, isn’t it? An omen of darkness and evil, whose only purpose is to instill fear into those around me.”
(Vengeful) “This is not over until King Rhodon pays for his treachery… with his daughter’s life!”
Leader of the Council of Fighters’ Special Forces team, but also works as a teacher at the Fighters’ Academy. Byleth and his team are assigned to aid the Ultimate Heroes in the coming battle against the Subspace Army. Byleth is a strong and calculating leader who takes every possibility into account before making a decision.

“Captain Falcon, my name is Byleth. I am the leader of the council’s Special Forces team. Marth has asked that I aid you and your colleagues in the coming battle."
“Let the lesson begin!”
“Ah, Junior, it seems like you're hard at work. Just know that if we succeed in this battle, I'll give you extra credit on your Strategy homework."
A member of the Special Forces team. Mythra has joined the fight against the Subspace Army in order to save Pyra, who was captured during the tournament. She doesn’t wear her heart on her sleeve, and shrugs off nearly everything with a sarcastic remark, but deep down she cares deeply for her friends, and will do whatever she can to help them.

(Frustrated, in the middle of battle) “Well this is just fan-freakin-tastic! We’re back at square one, only we’re even MORE outnumbered!
(Amused) “Heh. I know someone you’d get along with really well; She’s got a soft spot for the bold but dense types.”
The heavyweight of the Special Forces team. Many speculated that he had gone into retirement due to his apparent absence, but after hearing about the Board of Evil and how King K. Rool was involved with it, he was more than happy to get back in the game. He is confident, friendly, and more than willing to get into a scramble with the bad guys.

A member of a Piranha Plant Colony who have rebelled against the Koopa Kingdom and are now incorporated into the Subspace Army. But they are oblivious to the cause they are serving, and believe that they are helping a noble cause. Venus is very loyal towards those she considers friends and allies.

The wife of Bowser and Queen of the Koopa Kingdom. While it was presumed that she had perished in battle a long time ago, she is revealed to have survived, and has merely been trapped in Subspace for some time. It is believed that her supposed death is what drove Bowser to the dark side. She is kind and caring, but her time in Subspace has drained her both physically and mentally. (Weary both physically and mentally) “How long have I been here?... Days?... Months?... Years?... I’ve been here so long I’ve lost all sense of time…

The brother of Mario. While he may seem cowardly at times, he is shown to have courage when it matters. And he can be very creative in the way he defeats his opponents. For his voice, I want something as close to his original voice as possible, but I’ll leave room for your own interpretations.

Appears in flashbacks involving Yoshi. He was one of the fighters to confront Yoshi when he bonded to the Dark Star. Although he did his best, he was unable to get through to Yoshi, and was killed as a result. Corrin has a serious and determined attitude, but also a compassionate side to try and understand Yoshi’s reasons.

Appears in flashbacks involving Yoshi. He tried to help Corrin stop Yoshi’s rampage with the Dark Star. He is not as serious as Corrin, but when push comes to shove, he will drop the snark and do what he must to get through to Yoshi. For his voice, I want something deep and gruff.

(Friendly) “You gave us a hell of a fight, I’ll give you that. But we weren’t about to take that lying down. We knew we had to do something.”
(Desperate) “Yoshi, the Dark Star is messing with your head! You have to get rid of it!”
Appears in visions to Yoshi. When she learned that Yoshi bonded with the Dark Star, she did what she could to try and help. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough, and she fell by Yoshi’s hand. But even afterwards, she bears no resentment towards him, and instead encourages him to seek out his redemption from the afterlife.

Appears in flashbacks involving Sonic. I cannot reveal too much without spoiling what happens, but Tails plays a crucial role in Sonic’s backstory and why he is the way he is now. But, as you would expect, Tails is much like his canon persona in regards to voice and personality. He is friendly and loyal to Sonic, but will call him out for any mistakes he makes.

“Sonic… what happened on Mobius wasn’t your fault… So why are you taking your anger out on your friends?”
The Dark Star is a powerful entity that has formed a parasitic relationship with Yoshi. It feeds off his negative emotions and uses them as fuel to consume his body. The Dark Star is very cruel and manipulative, and, much like Tabuu, sees mortals as nothing more than pawns to further its schemes. For his voice, I’m looking for something dark and growly, befitting of an entity of darkness. Here are a couple of references for what I’m looking for. “The darkness in Yoshi’s heart has made him the perfect host for me… His hatred for Tabuu is what drew me to him… and the subsequent self-loathing he endured after his failed mission only further strengthened that darkness.”
(Goading) “Kill him, Yoshi… It is the only way to save her… Stop holding back… Let go… LET GO!!!”
Sora is summoned to help after things take a turn for the worst for the Ultimate Heroes. With the power of the Keyblade, he will have an essential role involving the Ultima Seal that Tabuu is using to gain power.
