Transformers Cybertron Abridged

Project Overview

Hello Everyone, and thank you for considering auditioning for this project. This is the first Casting Call I'm making on this Website, and I hope to make it a good one! This will be an Abridged series of the final chapter in the Transformers Unicron Trilogy, TRANSFORMERS: CYBERTRON, that will be posted on my Youtube Channel ORION ZAXS, at  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCenD8bW_MnKbK9x1hG31Zwg . I plan to do all 50+ episodes of this Anime, so if you are cast, it will be on a long term basis, for this call is meant for the Core cast. Although other transformers do appear later on, those will be casted at a later date. If you don't know anything about Transformers though, that's completely fine, I don't need your knowledge, just your voice ;).  For the Human character "Bud" in this Anime, since he has a rather high pitched voice already, both male and females are permited to audition. Once casting is Complete, all further details will be discussed on the Discord server, link to which will be provided once you are cast for your Role. Have Fun and do your Best!

Note: The Roles of Hot Shot, and Coby, have already been casted prior to the creation of this call. Sorry if you came here with Plans to Voice them. And Finally, I will be providing the Voice of Optimus Prime.

  • Thanks for the great Auditions!

Thank you all for your wonderful auditions! I an truly impressed by each and every one of you. But unfortunately that not mean that everyone who auditioned will be cast. Me and my partner will consider all 30 of the auditions placed, and choose those of wich best suit the characters. Final results will be posted tomorrow. Till all are one!
  • Most Impressive!

Sorry for the lack of feedback on auditions, but everything Ive been hearing has been fantastic! As you all have probably noticed the deadline for this project has been pushed to the end of this current month. The deadline will not be postponed a second time, so casting shall commence after the 30th. It will not be an easy choice, but know that even though you might not be cast for the role you wanted, there are many characters, big and small, that come in later in the series, and i will keep all those who are not cast in mind! So until then, "Til all are One"!

Vector Prime is Primus's appointed guardian of time and space. Though recorded history pegs him as 25 million years old, he has identified himself as 9 billion years old.  He's so old that in many timelines, the locals have called him "the First Autobot. Despite his age, Vector Prime is very powerful, and can warp both space and time, though excessive use of this power can severely weaken him. His powers allow him to traverse the multiverse at will, allowing Vector Prime to track and record events across a countless number of realities. Vector Prime was once a holder of the Matrix of Leadership  before he left Cybertron to guard space and time, a lonely job which isolated him from Cybertronian culture for tens of millions of years. Though he has rejoined the timestream on occasion to protect it from large-scale dangers, his extraordinary exile has left him emotionally, culturally, and politically disconnected from his race. He speaks in archaic terminology steeped in chivalry from an age long past, which has led some to believe him to be little more than a doddering relic. Vector prime is literally the only guy who genuinely cares about the plot if this show. His only problem is that he now lives in the cybertron universe where literally no one cares about anything. Each of the Original 13 primes were given a universe of which they stood steward of. Vector prime, the 11th prime drew the short straw, and was given the Cybertron universe. Even though his universe is not the best, and all of the autobots are selfish and vindictive, he still cares deeply for it, and does not want it to be destroyed. He should have an aged, almost Patrick Stewart like voice when he speaks. Or if you can't do that, just a regular old english accent.

  • Before time began, there was the Cube. We know not where it comes from, only that it holds the power to create worlds and fill them with life. That was how our race was born. For a time, we lived in harmony, but like all great power, some wanted it for good, others for evil. And so began the war - a war that ravaged our planet until it was consumed by death, and the Cube was lost to the far reaches of space. We scattered across the galaxy, hoping to find it and rebuild our home, searching every star, every world. And just when all hope seemed lost, message of a new discovery drew us to an unknown planet called... Earth. But we were already too late.

  •  My path crossed that of the Minicons as their ship was drifting aimlessly through space.

  •  I see. Safe Guard tells me that the inhabitants of the Giant Planet have a custom of building large cities, abandoning them after a while, and building new cities. I finally understand the true value of time, for it is the bonds between us that give time its meaning.

Starscream is disillusioned by his leader Megatron. It took a while for Starscream to come to grips with Megatron's faults, but there's no turning back. Megatron doesn't respect him, doesn't appreciate him, and would casually toss Starscream's life away if it got him something he wanted. If following Megatron is the school of hard knocks, then Starscream is the valedictorian—but not without a few scars. Starscream may have once been compassionate, he may once have known what true friendship is, but all that has been replaced, scab for scab, with the lessons of Megatron's abuse. Unwittingly, Megatron may have created a monster even he cannot ultimately control. As a little bit of a quirk, starscream Is a lactose intolerant Transformer. Because of that he Wants the decepticons to go back to what they once were, and become the ultimate power in the universe. He hates megatron for losing sight of the vision that made him join the decepticons in the first place back in generation 1. And now Hope's to get them all back on track once he finally kills his leader megatron and takes over the decepticons position of leadership.

  •  Ever notice how much noise an insect makes, buzzing and clacking, until you crush it underfoot? That's what you are Megatron-a bug with a big mouth!

  • There's gotta be a reason we fight. Because there's no point in continuing unless there is. This war is over ten million years old. In fact I've been a warrior ever since my spark left the Iacon chamber, and I was merged into the army of Megatron. The only difference between me and an Autobot is the way we do battle, and the code of the Decepticons. I guess I'm starting to get a little... confused. But you shouldn't be. We are soldiers sworn to obey Megatron; capture the Mini-Cons and return to Cybertron triumphant.

  • I don't know if this is the right choice, but I have made my decision.I must do everything there is in my power to bring Megatron down, and I swear I will crush him personally.... Goodbye kids. And thanks, I'll never forget you.

Megatron is the founder of the Decepticon uprising, and their most well-known and feared leader. As a young, charismatic leader forged in battle and the heritage of war, he began to believe in a grand purpose for his race—it is the Transformers' glorious destiny to rule an empire which will span the universe. The opposite of his mortal enemy Optimus Prime, he feels great contempt for other Transformers who, he feels, betray their proud heritage by demanding peace and cooperation with weaker life forms. It is the destiny of the Decepticons to bring order to the universe through conquest, though in the millions of years since coining this purpose it remains to be seen how much of his mission statement is altruistic... and how much of it is mere words built to fuel warriors to further his desire for personal power. Megatron will attempt almost anything to achieve his goals, but his schemes are rarely in any way subtle. This is perhaps due to his arrogance, but his pride is not so strong as to dissuade him from abandoning a battle he is losing. He often shows dramatic examples of cowardice, concealed in rage. Although he isn't as physically strong as Optimus, his ability to analyse any situation and utilize it as a weapon makes the Decepticons deadly, so they can find energy sources almost immediately. Some would question his sanity, though these few are mostly now dead by his hands... or his fusion cannon, depending on his mood. Sometimes he uses his energon mace to strike them down. It does not matter how they die. Death by the hands of Megatron is an honour. For the abridged series however, Megatron has grown to be care free, dignified, and ruthless, because somewhere along the eons of war, he literally forgot what the autobots and decepticons were fighting for, and Really just wants to Open a bakery on Cybertron. He believes his baked goods will be so magnificent, they will cause the great plot hole that is threatenig his universe to implode in on itself, Making his sweets the only sweets anyone ever talks about in this universe. But the only way he can do that, is to get all Four Cyber Planet Macguffins. And he will stop at nothing to accomplish his dream. For his voice, I would prefer somthing along the lines of David Kaye, Megtron's Voice actor from Beast Wars onward. But if that's Not your style, you could just do a Frank Welker or Hugo Weaving Impression, I don't mind.

  •  DO NOT TAKE ME FOR A FOOL, STARSCREAM! I have been wise to your transgressions from the beginning. Not only did you pluck the Dark Energon from my chest in a failed attempt to snuff my spark, but you tried to raise yourself own undead warrior with it. It's no secret that you lost an arm in the process, which you've since had replaced. You have ceased to be of use to me, Starscream...so you shall simply cease to be.

  • Now you will do as I say, hand over all your Mini-Cons to me, or I'll have no choice but to re-format your friend's memory bank.

  • This time, you have dared too much, Starscream. You must pay the price for your insolence!

Jetfire is probably the best second-in-command Optimus Prime could conceivably have. Jetfire is more than a yes-man; he's the crucial link between Prime's role-necessitated distance and his troops. Though professional and businesslike, Jetfire infuses his interactions with a down-to-earth friendliness. And where Optimus Prime is cautious, Jetfire is more prone to tempered bursts of gusto and bravado. While Optimus Prime is your leader who's your leader, Jetfire is your leader who's your friend. Because of this, Jetfire is very popular among the Autobots. Most importantly, Jetfire is one of the only Autobots who will tell Optimus Prime to his face when he thinks he's wrong. It is this trait that makes Jetfire indispensable. In this Abridged series however, he Is a major Optimus prime Fanboy, he wants to be just like him someday, maybe a little too much, and dreams of one day being able to Change into a fire truck. But everyone mocks his dream since he turns into a huge plane. In the Anime Jetfire has an Australian Accent, so if you can, Make him sound like the Sniper from Team Fortress 2.

  •  I hope you got a parachute because you're going down!

  • Let me tell you my personal motto: VICTORY IS MINE!

  •  You stopped the time/space continuum. That's amazing, mate.

Landmine is a fighter. He lives by a soldier's code and thrives on honor and loyalty to his comrades and commanders. Unlike his brother Landquake, he thoroughly enjoys the life of a warrior. Landmine's rough around the edges and a little old-fashioned, but he's got a warm heart under that gruff exterior. Since he's so old, he bruises easily, but after some mechanical tinkering from Red Alert or Coby, he's always back up on his feet, anxious to re-enter the battle swingin'. In his millennia of existence, he has trained a number of warriors, including Mudflap and Optimus Prime. However in this abridged series, Landmine Is a bit of a Duncehead. He has a  thing for Human women, cause the girls on Cybertron never used to like his Face, his face specifically, But they loved Scattershot's face for some reason, sprouting a bustling rivalry between the two. Once the plot hole created be Unicron opens, He wants to use it to  leave this reality and move to the "Kiss Players" universe, where its acceptable for Cybertonians and humans to be together. He's secretly a genius also, but in an ironic way, to where he doesn't know it. For his voice, you don't have to do anything special, but i would prefer something swave, Almost Jhonny Bravo-ish in nature.

  •  I'm glad you said it. It saves me a lot of trouble because I ain't big on trouble. We don't need wild cards like you on this mission. I'll be glad when we can haul your useless butt back to Earth.

  • This is all very interesting but if these little guys can't remember how to get home then we're just spinning our wheels.

  • We're Autobots, We're from Cybertron, a Planet Far from Earth. Those who Tried to Harm you are Called Decepticons. We must stop them before they destroy your world.

Role assigned to: The KaibaCorp Express

A former computer-game programmer, Scattorshot quickly became Optimus Prime's go-to bot for computer work. But the nervy robot not only doesn't think he's cut out for battle, but believes the mere fact that he's done as well as he has in battle is just a big setup. He's convinced his good luck will run out on him, and run out at the worst possible moment. As such, Scattorshot has developed a thing about guns. He likes altmodes with a lot of them. Maybe with enough firepower, he can prolong that whole karma thing. His companions find him to be a bit pessimistic, but far from hopeless... he may make a great soldier someday if he can just get over that nervousness. Since gaining a new body and joining the Cybertron Defense Team, Scattorshot has gained more confidence and lost some of his pessimism, now that he has two brothers in arms watching his back. That, and the fact his new body has enough weaponry for him to make his own 'luck'. In this series, Scattershot Is a ladies man oddly enough, but a huge Clutz. He is literally the stupidest robot in the universe, In the most Ironic Way Possible. But people love him because he puts up a front to make himself out to be this great genius of a Transformer, but yet, he can't even lead androids on a  parade, much less be a valuable asset to the autobots. Yet people keep him around cause he looks cool. So for his voice, he should have a bit of a Texan accent, so something along the lines of, The Engineer, from Team Fortress 2.

  • Someone put up a camoflouge shield in the middle of the lake and I'm betting it's Starscream.

  • You think you can hurt me and my friends and get away with it? Well, I've got something for you and missiles and kicks to boot.

  • The key just pumped in a whole bunch of data. The co-ordinates seem to be pointing to the North Pole.

Thundercracker suffered from low self-esteem and longed for approval from authority figures to validate his existence. He was willing to work as hard as necessary to gain attention and praise from Megatron, but when all his efforts were ignored or taken for granted, he grew frustrated. Thundercracker felt the need to engage in ever more risky and reckless behavior in an attempt to gain Megatron's notice. Many predicted this would lead to his destruction. When next we see Thundercracker it is over ten years later, loyally serving under Starscream during the search for the Cyber Planet Keys. In the intervening years he became something of a jokester and goofball. This has often gained him the attention that he craves. Though frequently, especially when Megatron is the brunt of the joke, it is far from positive attention. Thundercracker doesn't seem smart enough to tell the difference, but he does know when to get the smelt out of Decepticon HQ before Megatron looks for someone to pummel. Here, Thundercracker Is an old decepticon, one of the last ones that are still around from the first generation of those who began fighting in the Great War. After the untold centuries of fighting he just wants it all to end so he can live on Cybertron and start an energon corn farm. His voice I envisioned would be overly Scottish, so have fun with That!

  • Yeah, but even without our new weapon, I could fry your circuits extra-crispy. Megatron would love it, but that geeky Starscream would take all the credit. On the other hand, if I let you wreck our new weapon, Megatron might blame Starscream.......which would make me very happy.

  • You know, Skywarp, I can't wait to get back to Cybertron. Earth's so flat.

  • I'd rather bash Prime one-on-one, but when Megatron says 'gang up', Thundercracker gangs!

Lori Jiménez is an adolescent female human who assists the Autobots during the search for the Cyber Planet Keys. Raised in the city, her family recently moved to rural Colorado, a place she hates. While she certainly outshines her friends Bud and Coby in the social arena, she is not perfect, and more often than not, she can be reduced to immature shouting matches with Coby, leading the two to share a very intense... rivalry.During the battle to save Cybertron from the Unicron Singularity, Lori befriended Override (Override being "Big Sister" and Lori "Little Sister") and Scourge, leaders of Velocitron and the Jungle Planet. She also quickly developed a deep and abiding hatred of the female Decepticon "floozy" Thunderblast. Lori is a particular influence on the powerful Scourge; a constant and disquieting reminder to the dictator of his onetime desire to protect the weak that lay at the root of his quest for power... and that strength is more than merely physica. In this series She's a bit of a Generic tsundere, so she should have a bit of an authoritative flare in her Voice delivery.  Think Asuna, from Sao Abridged. SO HAM  IT UP!

  •  Well, I should’ve known it was you. My family was up here for the peace and quiet. Not for Motocross!!!

  • I guess it’s true we didn’t know anything about you, but we could see that you needed help. So we had to do something. I mean, we couldn’t just leave you there, Mr. Robot!

  • Pleased to meet you, Landmine. Now how'd you wind up sitting in this crater in the middle of nowhere?

Bud Hansen

Role assigned to: Samuelm

Bud Hansen, is a young boy, with all the exuberance and naivete that comes with. Though he's far from stupid, his imagination rules him. A fan of bad sci-fi movies and the Galactic Guardians, he doesn't just want to be a movie director when he grows up—he wants to be a movie director now. As such, he has a quirky flair for drama, though it's tempered by a sense of fair play. Despite his years, Bud is able to be surprisingly mature and even somewhat wise when he has to be. This doesn't keep him from getting himself and the more foolish of his robot friends into some rather bad situations (like unprotected orbital reentry). Fortunately (or unfortunately), the Transformers don't seem to know enough about human development to apply the necessary butt-whuppins to prevent these minor disasters. With his brother and their friend Lori Jiménez, Bud assists the Autobots during their search for the Cyber Planet Keys. He has probably bonded the most with the geeky Mini-Con Jolt, who calls him "Bud-dude", after Bud insisted he stop saying "Master Bud". (Not that it's much of an improvement, dorkiness-wise.) He believes that if they wanted to, the Autobots could walk around in plain sight as long as people thought they were just fanboys wearing costumes. The sad thing is...he's probably right. For his voice, I was imagining something a Tad high pitched, Akin to Naruto's voice from the first season of the anime. But not too high pitched to the point of it being grating.

  •  Hey Optimus, betcha can’t hit that boulder up on the ridge!

  • Hey gramps, what’s with all the racket?! Aaah, you’re making my teeth hurt!

  •  All you have to do is step of the platform, then blam! You’re in the stratosphere!
