♡Tokyo Mew Mew: The Manga Fandub♡ Casting Call!

Hello, hello everyone! I am excited to announce that I am currently casting for a visual/ voice dub of the Tokyo Mew Mew manga! Here is some info on the project!

-Tokyo Mew Mew is a manga created by Reiko Yoshida with artwork by Mia Ikumi. It follows 5 girls who were infused with the DNA of different endangered species and must fight aliens that have come to take over Tokyo and potentially the world. Tokyo Mew Mew follows the formulaic magical girl trope with girls, transformations (complete with cute outfits), and a whole lot of kick-butt!

Tokyo Mew Mew is suitable for ages 13 and up (contains some suggestive themes as well as brief sensuality involving the transformation sequences).

As a fan of the original manga/ anime, I want this to stay faithful to the original as possible. Of course since this is a manga dub, we will be going based on the script from the English-released manga of the same name.

Requirements for Auditioning

1. Please have a GOOD quality microphone. (A little background fuzz is fine, as long as it is able to be noise-reduced in Audacity).

2. Follow the prompts/ emotions given for each audition you post. (We want this to be a good quality production. At least, as good as Windows Movie Maker and Audacity can make it!)

3. If you have a Discord, that'd be great! (If not, no biggie otherwise it's free and easy to sign up!)

The deadline will be set, but is subject to change seeing as the end of the year is approaching! I will look forward to your submissions and good luck!

NOTE: Aside from Lettuce, all characters will be open! Yours truly will be tagging along for the ride to voice her! ^_^

There are other characters that are not listed in the audition section, such as Ichigo's friends and other minor characters. I plan to cast extras later on since they're not in the manga as much! 

NOTE: The video link for previous works was from some time ago. I've been on hiatus and started up projects again! :)

    I wanted to say thank you to everyone for their patience and that I'm grateful for all of the wonderful auditions I received for the Tokyo Mew Mew manga dub project! I can finally announce that we have filled all of the spots necessary to greenlight starting up the official project. Those of you who managed to snag a role in the project, congratulations! Ichigo Momomiya is one of the main protagonists in Tokyo Mew Mew. Her DNA is fused with the Iriomote wild cat. She's a bit clumsy, full of energy, and a bit-short tempered.

Mint Aizawa is another lead character who's DNA is fused with the Blue Lorikeet bird. She comes from a wealthy family and does ballet as a hobby. She is snobby, a tad rude at times, but is always fawning over fellow teammate and idol pop star, Zakuro Fujiwara.

Pudding Fong is a lead in Tokyo Mew Mew with the DNA of the Golden Tamarin Lion monkey fused with her own. She's spunky, energetic, and a bit of a handful for the other Mews. Pudding is never one to stray away from a good brawl with the chimera aliens! She uses the phrase "Na No Da!" after sentences commonly which translates from Japanese to: "It is that."

Zakuro Fujiwara is the last leading lady of the Mews. Her DNA is fused with the Grey Wolf. Zakuro is reserved and comes off as a bit cold to some people. She is a pop idol and is very talented and smart, being one of the strongest Mews on the team.

Masaya Aoyama is Ichigo's crush and potential boyfriend. He is very smart, and practices kendo.

This is technically a double role seeing as Aoyama is actually Deep Blue in human form. If all goes according to plan, the person who plays Aoyama would also later on play Deep Blue. :)
