Project Overview
I’m a SoCal writer/director/actor creating a series of short spoken-word film essays based on selections from my self-published poetry collection.
Each piece will feature a woman actor performing one of the poems, with the performance being recorded and edited into a finished video for my YouTube channel. I want the actors to bring their own emotional interpretation and perspective to the writing while working with me as the director.
This is a smaller project I’m creating alongside a larger film project, with the goal of building a body of work that represents my voice as a writer and director.
This is an unpaid, independent project. Actors will receive credit and a finished video showcasing their performance. IMDb submission is planned if the completed project meets IMDb’s eligibility requirements.

I spent so much of my life learning how to be loved that I forgot to ask if I actually liked the way I was being loved.
I called it patience. I called it understanding. I called it growing up. Maybe I was just getting smaller.
But I am learning now that becoming softer does not mean becoming silent. I can love you and still choose myself.
