Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES SHELL SHOCK ADVENTURES! a brand new 2d animated action comedy adventure fan series designed to honor four decades of the iconic TMNT brand. This reboot aims to be a vibrant celebration of the franchise's rich history, drawing inspiration from its beloved movies, classic animated series, and original comic book roots.
Our goal is to recapture the core essence that made the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles so iconic, infusing that timeless formula into a fresh narrative. The series will feature a dynamic cast of both familiar faces and exciting new characters, brought to life through colorful animation. While staying true to the spirit of the TMNT legacy, TMNT Shell Shock Adventures will also introduce innovative elements and contemporary twists to the characters and the show's overall presentation, ensuring a compelling experience for long-time fans and new viewers alike.

THE STORY:
The series follows the four turtle brothers—Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo—who feel alone and isolated, longing for acceptance from humans. One day, the turtles devise a plan to achieve acceptance; they will try to be heroes so they can be accepted by the outside world. After a couple of weeks without being noticed for being heroes, they encounter trouble with the Purple Dragons, the city's largest gang. Following this scuffle, they meet a human girl, April O'Neil, who is initially scared of the turtles and their father, a rat named Master Splinter. However, she eventually bonds with them, becoming like family.After their fight with the Purple Dragons, a mysterious foe called the Shredder attempts to hunt down the turtles for interfering with his plans, sending mutants and his clan, the Foot Clan, to pursue them. The turtles must find a way to stop the Shredder. In their adventures, they will meet new friends and new foes. Will the turtles be accepted, or will evil prevail?
Audition Requirements:
Active Discord Account Required: You must have a Discord account to apply. This is our primary platform for cast communication, script updates, and production announcements.
Age Requirement (16+): You must be 16 years of age or older to audition for this project. We require a mature cast capable of managing production schedules and deadlines.
High-Quality Microphone: Please ensure you have a good quality microphone setup with zero background noise (no fans, static, or room echo) so your lines are crystal clear.
Provide Three Takes: Please submit at least three (3) takes for every audition line using the standard A-B-C format (all takes in one audio file). Try to vary your tone, pacing, or emotion with each take to show your range!
Make the Character Your Own: Do not feel pressured to perfectly imitate past voice actors who have played these roles. If you can do a great impression, that's awesome! However, we are completely open to unique, fresh interpretations of these characters.

Mikey bio:
Michelangelo, the youngest of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is the undisputed king of good times. While he may not boast the same specialized traits as his brothers, his boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm make him the heart of the team. He is all about having a blast and embraces every moment with a playful spirit.
A significant challenge for Mikey is his tendency to trust people a little too much. This often leads to situations where others take advantage of him, and he frequently doesn't notice until it is too late. These moments make him feel very young and remind him that he is still learning, which fuels his desire to not be babied by his older brothers.
He shares a special bond with Donatello, the one brother who doesn't constantly tease or baby him, allowing Mikey to be himself without judgment. Though sometimes viewed as unaware, Mikey is fiercely independent and constantly strives to prove he can handle himself, pushing back against Leonardo's overprotective nature.In his downtime, he is a "connoisseur of cool," enjoying comic books, Kaiju films, and skateboarding. In combat, he prefers to start fights with his bare hands for the challenge, only bringing out his nunchaku as the intensity escalates to become an acrobatic whirlwind of strikes. Above all, if his family is in peril, he drops the jokes and acts with unwavering loyalty. Also he's left-handed.

Lotus Blossom bio:
Lotus Blossom is the eldest adopted daughter of the Shredder and the older sister of Karai. Sharp, disciplined, and unyielding, she has dedicated her entire life to mastering the lethal arts of the Foot Clan. Unlike Karai—who prefers to break the mold, have fun, and operate on her own terms—Lotus is strictly bound by code, tradition, and absolute discipline.
This stark difference in personality has fueled a fierce, bitter sibling rivalry between the two. While Karai views her sister as rigid and uptight, Lotus sees Karai's free-spirited nature as a dangerous liability. For Lotus, life within the Foot Clan is completely about business, perfection, and duty. She relentlessly pushes herself to be the absolute best, willing to outwork and outperform anyone who stands in her way. Ultimately, every calculated move she makes is driven by a singular, deep-seated desire: to prove her flawless loyalty and earn the ultimate respect of her father, the Shredder.

Hun operates as a key enforcer for the Shredder, demonstrating unwavering obedience and executing directives without question. A towering figure, his sheer physical presence is a testament to his raw power and unyielding readiness for any confrontation.

Zach is a determined 10-year-old with an unwavering dream of becoming a superhero. His world shifts when a chance encounter with one of the Ninja Turtles ignites a powerful new inspiration, leading him to adopt the moniker "Zach the fifth Turtle." Despite the relentless teasing of his older brother, Danny, who dismisses Zach's aspirations as childish fantasy, Zach remains resolute. He believes in the existence of the Turtles and is convinced that, like them, he is destined for heroism.

Danny Bio:
Danny Pennington is a troubled, rebellious punk kid navigating a deeply fractured home life. As the oldest son of Charles "Chuck" Pennington and the older brother of the hyperactive Zach, Danny carries a heavy chip on his shoulder. He shares a bitterly strained relationship with his father, viewing Chuck's constant academic worrying and dorky, overbearing parenting style as suffocating. Feeling completely misunderstood at home and suffocated by his family's grief and high expectations, Danny has chosen to seek a dangerous sense of belonging out on the grimy streets.
Unbeknownst to his well-meaning father, Danny has completely embraced a double life. He has fallen in with a ruthless street gang known as the Purple Dragons, a crew of runaway delinquents and thieves who thrive on chaos and crime. To the Purple Dragons, Danny isn't just a quiet, resentful kid—he's a street-smart asset willing to push the limits to prove himself.
Danny treats the gang as his real family, finding a sense of power and freedom in their lawless lifestyle that he never felt under his father's roof. He wears his punk attitude like a shield, using anger to mask the underlying guilt of lying to his family. Blinded by a desire to feel independent and strong, Danny remains blissfully unaware that his loyalty to the Purple Dragons is a fast track to ruin, placing him on a direct collision course with the law—and eventually, the very family he is trying so hard to run away from.

Charles Pennington bio:
Charles "Chuck" M. Pennington is a dedicated educator, a college professor, and the single father of Daniel and Zach Pennington. Balancing a demanding academic career—which includes lecturing bright young students like April O'Neil—while managing a household on his own is a constant, exhausting tightrope walk. His life changed forever when his wife tragically passed away when Zach was just an infant, leaving Chuck to navigate the challenges of parenthood entirely by himself.
Despite his best efforts to provide a stable, loving home, Chuck finds himself caught in a grueling emotional tug-of-war between his two boys. While his youngest, Zach, brings a chaotic but well-meaning energy to the house, it is his oldest son, Danny, who truly breaks his heart. Unbeknownst to Chuck, Danny has fallen in with a dangerous crowd of runaway delinquents and is secretly operating as a thief for the purple dragons.

The Story Writer is going to help out with planning the main plot and story events for the series. You'll help figure out what happens in each episode as the story moves forward.
Point of Reference for the story: It's a brand-new TMNT alternate universe! We are taking the coolest parts of TMNT history and expanding them into our own unique world and lore.
The tone is heavily inspired by Rise of the TMNT and TMNT 2012. We want a lot of fast-paced action, funny sibling banter, and a cool story that keeps people wanting to watch more. It shouldn't be too dark, but it shouldn't be a little kid show either—just a fun, action-comedy animated TMNT series.

The Script Writer will help write and refine the dialogue for different episodic and plot-related events within the series, detailing things such as:
• Voice lines and banter within high-energy action sequences.
• Character-driven dialogue within narrative-heavy animatics.

• Point of Reference for writing style: rise of the TMNT, and TMNT 2012.
The dialogue in this series should be very: Action-comedy-esque, featuring snappy wit, fast-paced sibling banter, and grounded emotional beats. There will be a balance of high-stakes superhero action and lighthearted character shenanigans.
