Time and Motion
Project Overview
Time and Motion is a stand alone noir audio drama about power, efficiency and romance.
Wendy Brightbuckle is a time and motion expert helping a detergent company maximise efficiency and profit, and escaping each night at home via the Arthurian radio show her company sponsors. When the radio show starts to go off the rails, management decide that Wendy is the person they need to solve the problem. How will she do?

You still got a torch for Harry Travis?
Slow down, Miss Time and Motion. I still got two minutes.

Wendy's already increased packing speed by 5% in the last year. You got me asking myself, Wendy... how does she do it?
Wendy I'm not going to insult your intelligence by telling you that a problem for that show is a problem for White Knight soap flakes. And that's a problem for DeterCo.

Things on the show haven't always been smooth. There have been some strong personalities, some clashes. But the last thing we need is someone turning up old stones, raking up old muck. We just need someone who sees things in the here and now. Clear the blockages. Make things run as they should.
And I'm very grateful that you did, Miss Brightbuckle. But that's just what we can't have on a large scale, isn't it? People leaving their lines? Chaos would ensue. Anyway. Sunday's punishment - which fit the crime superbly - was to undo all that damage.

He often goes on odd little trips. But so long as we get the scripts on time - and we always do - nobody cares. It's less straightforward when your star goes missing.
Come on Tony. One last time? For old time's sake?

The other half goes to Hector Fry - that's me - for upkeep, profit and business development. You think it's not a lot of money. You're right. You're going to need to play a few fish long term. You think you can do that? Good. Now go and find Charlotte. She'll look after you.
Put yourself in my position girls. I gotta get the liquor in. I gotta get it out. I gotta keep you all safe. I can't do that on my own. I gotta have protection.

Knew you weren't here for the lousy nickels. Or to catch a fish. You're a cop, ain't you?
(BROKEN AND CRYING) It was always the same. What have you told Miss Brightbuckle? What have you told the cops? What did you tell them about Harry? About Paul? About Spellbreak?

Harry used to come here before he was on the wireless. Always Charlotte, he wanted. Wonderful dancer. We used to tease him, say he'd be our first gigolo. Like Valentino.
It'll look better with just me. I bump into him after the movie, I ask to look at his etchings.

How rude of me. I haven't introduced myself. I'm Katherine. But people call me Mother. Peter tells me you've been looking for Harry Travis - is that right? Whatever gave you the idea that he was here?

Welcome home Miss Brightbuckle. Sit down, why don't you? You look kinda stupid pinned against the door like that.

Well I'm certainly keen to leave. But it's not going to be easy.
(DESPERATE) It was an accident. I was trying to protect us!
