-- Introduction --
Hello! My name's Tea (any/all) and I'm the creator of Tier It Together! This is a casting call for voice actors for the game's narrators. Tier It Together! is a multiplayer collaborative tier list making party game where each player connects to the host via their own device, similar to that seen in Kahoot or the Jackbox series. As a narrator, you will be guiding the players through this experience, commenting on their choices and just adding some overall flavor and texture. The players will have the choice to select a narrator before they begin making the tier list, with each having their own personality and charm.
If you have any comments or questions, feel free to message me on here or on Discord [username: aqua.2]
-- Casting Process --The project is on a relatively strict timeline to meet it's target release date, and as such, auditions will close on the 15th of December, 2025, with the roles being allocated likely within the next 48 hours.
All voice "possible inspirations" are there to give an idea of what I envision with the character, they are not a required blueprint. Please feel free to interpret the character in your own way, and submit as many alternate interpretations of the character as you would like.
Audio quality is important for this project, please ensure you have an XLR or high quality USB microphone with minimal background noise and reverb.
For this project, not every role will be cast. We are aiming for around 4-6 narrators for release, and there will be more roles specified in the project than that, this is to give flexibility in choosing the most suitable cast for the project in it's current state.
-- Recording --Recording will be live directed over Discord between the 16th of December and the 23rd of December. Please make sure you are available to record sometime during that window for approximately 2-3 hours. Alternatively if you can't make it then, we can instead record between the 27th of December and 7th of January, but if that is the only time you can do, please mention it as a note on your audition.
If you are unable to make either of the times above, or if you do not get a role during this audition, but are still interested in the project, there may be future casting calls for narrators after the game's release if it goes well, and I'd love to have your auditions then when my timeline is a little less tight.
Final lines should be recorded as one of the following:
.wav (preferred)
.mp3
.flac
Ideally each line should be recorded as it's own individual file, with all takes included (no editing or cropping required, it can just be the raw audio from our live directed session). If for some reason you can not record like this, let me know and we can work out an alternative. This structure is both to speed up my post-production work, and to ensure any power-outages, crashes or other technical oddities do not result in lost work.
For auditions, feel free to submit in whatever file format is most comfortable for you!
