Hello, thank you for clicking on our listing! We are Lavendeer Studios, a newly founded indie game company and we are currently producing our first romantic Visual Novel, Threads of You: Beyond the Bay!
As we work on our demo, we're hoping to find additional hands to help with the production along with the perfect voices for our ambitious cast of 7 romanceable characters!
We are open to any suggestions from whoever we bring onto the team and will do our best to meet any of your requests!
We aren't in a hurry for or have any deadlines for our demo, so we will provide you with a stress-free experience when working with us.

WHAT'S THE GAME ABOUT?
You're on a much-needed road trip to visit back home after being away for college until your car suddenly breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Luckily, a sheriff drives past and takes you to the humble town of 'Brine Bay' until your car gets fixed. As you settle in, you'll have the chance to get to know seven interesting men: Caring yet stern Jean; determined and talented Kevin; masterfully flirtatious Kai; high-maintenance and pompous Wyatt; loyal and gentle Chris; nonchalant and brooding Vince and supportive and friendly, Andrew.
Get to know them over the course of two weeks and learn about their lives and dreams, maybe even their past. Will you pursue a relationship or choose to make lifelong friends instead? Maybe you want more than one partner or want to see them with each other? Either way, it was clear you were meant to be in their lives and them in yours.
GAME STATUS & PAYMENT
The game demo will only reach up to the end of introducing all the characters. However, we plan to take the game much further as we want to include many gameplay elements as well as story, such as over 10 endings and the ability to explore every character's story however way the player would like.
The rates now are just a base price, but we are hoping to offer higher payment to everyone who gets chosen for roles once we get funding from Patreon and Kickstarter!
Please understand that our rates are quite low as of now as it's coming right out of our lead dev's pockets, but do expect generous payment once funding is up-and-running!
WHAT WILL I HAVE TO DO?
BACKGROUND ARTIST
We are hoping for a background artist that can accept constructive criticism and can communicate effectively with us! As this is just the demo, we won't ask for many scenes but we are hoping that they will be willing to come back and work with us for the rest of the game, as we want to keep consistency with our game's visuals!
CG ARTIST
You'll arguably be working most closest with us, as we will need the art for promotional aspects (such as our soc-med banner or character reveals!)
and in-game CGs! We need an effective communicator that's willing to change things upon request and that can give us updates on the progress.
We want you to be comfortable with chibi artsyles as well!
VOICE ACTOR
As a voice actor, we want someone who is willing to help with promotion of our game as well as rewards for our backers/supporters! This may include personalised thank you's and romantic comments. We are looking to find someone permanently part of our project as we will need you for the long-term. Two takes for each line is allowed; feel free to get creative too! Show off what you can do.
Keep in mind, as a VA we'll mostly need noises like pouting or laughing, as we'll use those most in the game!
PROGRAMMER
We're looking for people knowledgeable in Ren'Py and Python coding, ideally willing to communicate effectively on Discord and able to look through a LOT of code as well as optimizing it.

Jean Williams is one of the romanceable characters in our game. He's a 28 year old Sheriff who is stern but friendly. He's Vince's childhood best friend and current roommate.
MC meets him first, and he is willing to help out as much as he can; feeling a bit of an obligation to as the town's beloved Sheriff! He genuinely loves helping people and would do more if he could, if he wasn't bounded to the town, of course.
We're looking for a deep and mature voice for him.

Kai Nguyen is one of the romanceable characters in our game. He's a 23 year old car mechanic and is flirtatious and confident. He flirts with the MC whenever he gets the chance to, although it could just be out of habit and not genuinity. Who's to say?
He comes from a long line of car mechanics, as his family has been the one and only mechanics in town. It's been an expectation for all under the 'Nguyen' surname to work in the family business, but does he really want this?
We're looking for a sultry and smooth voice for him.

Andrew Mitchell is one of the romanceable characters in our game. He's a 25 year old bookstore clerk that's a bit intimidating at first, but ultimately friendly. He's Vince's friend from highschool.
He comes from a household that only ever knew screaming matches and arguments, using the bookstore as a safe haven. Will he ever be able to move on from his past or will he be stuck with it and the town?
We're looking for a mid-to-deep voice for him.

Wyatt Quinn Quiggley is one of the romanceable characters in our game. He's a 32 year old CEO of the very successful tech company, Whyqrosoft. He finds himself in Brine Bay to discuss opening a branch in his very own hometown when he crosses paths with MC.
He's snobbish, full of himself and confident. He finds a way to brag whenever he can, clearly holding himself in high regard. But there's just something about MC that's so alluring, he just can't seem to stay away. Is it the fact they're a new face? The way they aren't melting for him immediately, just like all his past toys? Either way, he wanted them.
We're looking for a mature and snobby voice for him.

Vince Matador is one of the romanceable characters in our game. He's a 27 year old unemployed, recovering alcoholic. He's Andrew's highschool friend and Jean's childhood best friend and roommate.
He's shy with new people, preferring to stick only to the people he grew up with. In other words, not MC. But, this is a good chance for him to get a whole new perspective on his situation. Not from a family member, not from a friend who's been by his side, but someone who gets to form a whole new picture from his words alone. Maybe he'll even hate himself less?
We're looking for a monotone and quiet voice for him.

Chris Topher is one of the romanceable characters in our game. He's a 21 year old waiter at Cup O' Joe Mama's, a family run business that's currently handled by him as his father is bed-ridden.
He gets nervous under unfamiliar circumstances, friendly to those around him, and a big brother to 3 younger sisters. He's a hard-worker, hoping to make up for his lack of success growing up and to make sure his sisters grow up comfortably, even when their father eventually passes.
We're looking for a cute voice for him. Maybe like fluttershy from MLP? Puppy vibes!

Kevin Zuño is one of the romanceable characters in our game. He's a 23 year old theatre actor, hoping to someday breakout into the city and to get away from this small town, just like Wyatt did.
He's confident and proud, seeking attention and affirmation as much as he can. Under all his bravado though, is a lot of doubt, worried he may not fit in with the city. What if his talents are only recognized to the people of this small town? Won't he have much harder competition? Not to mention, he's only acting this way since he's only ever seen Wyatt act like that. He's not actually like this but it's not like he's known anyone from outside of Brine Bay. He has to fit in somehow when he makes a breakthrough. That is, until MC arrives.
