One Last Letter is an animated student film about a dysfunctional high school relationship and its aftermath. After a difficult breakup, college freshman Amanda must find a way to process the trauma of the past as she moves on to the rest of her life.
I am in search of three voice actors, for the roles of Amanda (main character), MJ (her girlfriend/ex), and Skylar (her new roommate).

Amanda is 18 years old and just about to leave her small town behind for college in the city. Deep inside she is a bold, creative person, but she finds herself trapped in a toxic codependent relationship, which drains her significantly.
That is, until her girlfriend breaks up with her just before they're set to graduate.
After leaving home, she must find a way to move forward and rediscover the person she was in the aftermath of trauma.
"I'm sorry M, I've tried so hard to be okay with this, but I'm panicking. There's so many people here, and I'm not comfortable- "
- Amanda is caught in a tough situation when her girlfriend invites a large group of people over to do acid without telling her, on a day they were supposed to spend alone. She is trying to hold it together, but struggling to fight off the incoming panic due to her social anxiety and her girlfriend's insistence on disregarding her boundaries.
"Sorry if I've been acting weird this whole time."
- After moving to the city for college, Amanda has a heart to heart with her roommate Skylar. She apologizes, thinking that her anxiety so far has been apparent.
*Laughing heartily as she treads water*
- In a moment of bravery, Amanda jumps off of the railing looking out over the water. When she resurfaces from the river, her roommate frantically calls after her to make sure she's ok.
She just laughs a big laugh, finally relaxing a little.
Amanda is a high school student who finds herself trapped in cycles of abusive relationships and addiction.
Despite her best efforts, her brains and natural charisma are not enough to conceal the way these things are ravaging her life. In the process of self destruction she hurts the people around her as well, namely her girlfriend of many years, Amanda.
"Well, I can't just tell them to leave."
- Spoken in response to her girlfriends oncoming panic attack. MJ's not so subtle manipulation shifts blame away from herself, despite the fact that she invited a large group of friends over to do drugs without telling Amanda.
"I think we should break up. Before College."
- Delivered on the tail end of a bender, MJ sounds almost apathetic as she says this. She is hardened and exhausted at this point.
Skylar is a freshman in college, with a history of her own, she bonds with her roommate Amanda as they each take their first steps into adulthood.
"Hey, do you wanna go on a walk with me?"
-Skylar pops in to the room to ask her new roommate, who has been acting shy thus far, if she'd like to join her on a walk down by the water.
"Oh shit... I mean, I get that. "
- Skylar and Amanda have a heart to heart, and after Amanda confesses that she might not have had the best friends in high school, Skylar can relate.
"Amanda!"
- Shocked, Skylar calls from the railing by the river, after Amanda decides to jump into the water.
