The Wingman

The Wingman is a comedy-drama film about Ricky, a cynical nihilist who treats life like a meaningless puzzle, and Kade, his hopelessly naive and optimistic best friend who has just met the girl of his dreams - a girl named Jane Yates. After Kade forgets to get her contact information and doesn’t know how to find her again, Ricky decides to track her down and be Kade’s wingman. But as Ricky’s schemes bring him closer to Jane, he unexpectedly begins to discover friendship, love, and a reason to care about life. He eventually convinces himself that love is the reason he needs to change, only to realise that Jane and Kade may be perfect for each other. Thus presenting a crucial dilemma - can he bring himself to throw away the best opportunity of his life to let his two closest friends be together?

At its heart, The Wingman is about change, letting go, and discovering that life isn’t meaningless, but it doesn’t need one huge event to be meaningful. Sometimes the most important changes are the smallest ones.
