Project Overview

PLEASE READ


THIS CASTING CALL IS ONLY FOR EP 1, NOT FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES. IT WILL BE POSSIBLE TO JOIN ITS CAST LATER, AS ANOTHER SUPPORT/EXTRA CHARACTER, APPEARING IN THE FUTURE EPISODES, SO PLEASE STAY TUNED.


✍🏻Plot

A Sims 4 Machinima Series inspired by "The Walking Dead" TV show. It follows the journey of two protagonists, 43-year-old Evan and 15-year-old Nea. Despite their diverse backgrounds, distinct personalities, and age difference, they are bound together by a shared mission: to rescue their loved ones and survive the zombie apocalypse. Along their path, they will confront grief, trauma, and fear, while making both friends and enemies.


The whole season will consist of (estimated) 6 episodes. Every episode will last about 20-30 minutes.


⚠️Rules


  • Please, if you decided to join this project, take it seriously.


  • If you are cast, DON'T ignore my messages. I prefer to hear "I can't be a part of this project anymore, sorry" than be worried and stressed something bad might have happened to you.


  • It's very important for me to have good-quality voice recordings. I don't mean a very expensive microphone, but just try to deliver your auditions without the background noises. Some phones have good microphones too.


  • Be able to show emotions [cry/angry/screaming/scared].


  • Repeat lines 2-3 times.


  • Files uploaded in .WAV or MP3 only.


  • Have fun!


📖When will you receive the information about being cast?


If I cast you, I will message you on Casting Call Club, so please be sure to check your private messages from time to time. Also, roles will be cast on 14.08.2023, a day after the deadline. I do not cast before the deadline.

AGE: 15 years old


GENDER: Female


CHARACTER: Nea is empathetic and very sensitive. She suppresses every tragedy within herself and presents it as something insignificant to others, even if inside she’s hurting. She’s very mature for her age and tries to help as best she can. Due to her young age, she’s not always able to control her feelings, but in the end, she's a character on whom others can count.


SHORT BACKSTORY: Nea grew up alone with her mother as her dad left a few years after Nea was born. As a little girl, she was bullied at school and didn’t have anybody until she met Luke - her best friend. When she and her mother had financial problems, she used to babysit for money. Nea's mother loves her but because of her mental problems, she has problems expressing that.


  • Leave me alone, you bastard! (screaming, furious)

  • I will help you. Just tell me how to do it. (calm)

  • How are you, little man? Oh... I see you are smiling! So cute! Are you hungry? I know you are! Come here! (happy, childish)

GENDER: Female


CHARACTER: Caroline is protective and honest. She is trying to give her daughter as much as she can, and knows that conversation is the most important thing in a mother-daughter relationship. She doesn’t have problems admitting her mistakes and fixing them.


SHORT BACKSTORY: Her adulthood started very early when Caroline was only 18 years old. She gave birth to Nea and was forced to start a new life independently after her boyfriend left her and she had to take care of little Nea. She started to live on her own. That didn’t change for the next few years until her boss fired her. When she was worried, Nea helped her as much as she could with money. Finally, everything stabilised until a few months before Nea's fifteen birthday.




  • You didn’t say that you’re still working as a babysitter. We shouldn’t have any secrets from each other

  • Bad day at school? You look angry. (worried)

  • Yes, you’re right. I’m sorry, honey.

GENDER: Male


CHARACTER: Evan in the series is quite a patient, understanding, funny, charismatic, and courageous character. As a teacher, he is one of the most liked, and this is largely due to his specific way of learning and approach to students (he treats them on an equal footing). He gained understanding after recovering from drug addiction. As a result, he became more joyful, cheerful, and also acquired greater sympathy for people.


SHORT BACKSTORY: As a little boy, Evan was very happy and endowed with undying love. He didn't cause any problems, and in college he met Stephanie - his future wife. Their friendship developed quickly, and they started a life together right after graduation. Unfortunately, 8 years after graduation, Evan's parents died tragically in a car accident, just when he found out that Stephanie was pregnant. Evan, wanting to momentarily escape the feeling of loneliness and emptiness, started taking drugs. This led him to a ten-year battle with addiction, which he partly won. However, he lost his wife along the way, as she could not forgive him for abusing her all those years.

  • H-hey... Don't worry. I won't hurt you. Is everything alright? Are you hurt? (calm)

AGE: 15 years old

GENDER: Male

CHARACTER: Luke is Nea's best friend. They grew up together from early childhood. He’s the only one who knows about her problems. He's a very strong and responsible character. He lives in an apparently happy and rich family and helps others as much as he can.

SHORT BACKSTORY: He was born into a happy and lovely family. From the moment he started walking, he wanted to meet new people and show them his kindness. That’s how he met Nea in one of the playgrounds. She was alone and without anybody, so he helped her by giving her money and spending time with her.

  • You know, if you'd like, I can help you with math. It’s actually not that hard.

  • What do you mean? Where’s your mother? The government declared a state of emergency around 10 pm.

  • That was scary enough when the first cases showed up in Europe, and now it’s everywhere. Please, keep me updated about your situation.

GENDER: Female

CHARACTER: Wendy is very kind and gentle. Even now, she's not able to say bad things about her father, and because of her past, she still wants to give him a chance to be a better father. You may also say she's a little bit naive because she believes almost everything adults tell her.

SHORT BACKSTORY: From her youngest age, she was a witness to her father being aggressive towards her mother. Even though Evan has never hit her, she still felt powerless and hopeless. She finally helps her mother to leave her toxic relationship and supports her in her darkest times.


In episode 1, she's more like an extra character, but she will be more present in future episodes.

  • I just… I wish I could say goodbye. (sad)

  • Mom, why are you upset? Is everything okay? (worried)

  • But what about dad? (cry)

AGE: 38 years old

GENDER: Female

CHARACTER: Stephanie is a very strong and protective character. For almost ten years, during which she has been abused, she's still been able to go to work and take care of her daughter, Wendy. She’s also very ambitious and smart. She’s able to find a way through most of the problems.

SHORT BACKSTORY: As a child, she was very happy and responsible. She met her ex-husband, Evan at the university. They were happy for many years until Evan’s parents died in the car accident he witnessed. That started their marriage problems, which she managed to escape from almost ten years later.


In episode 1, she's more like an extra character, but she will be more present in future episodes.

  • Wendy, we have to go. Pack all the things you want to take, okay?

  • But we will be fine, okay? I promise. Now go and pack your things. Don’t forget anything.

GENDER: Male

CHARACTER: Conrad is a funny and intelligent guy. He says what he thinks without hesitation, but he's not mean toward others. Even though he may appear as a very sociable person, he still prefers to spend time on his own to take a break from others.

SHORT BACKSTORY: In the past, he used to be a police officer. He retired after his wife died in a car accident and started living alone, away from the crowds, to lead a peaceful life by himself.

  • If we want to leave at sunrise, it's better to go to sleep right now. We need to have enough energy for tomorrow's journey.

  • You two deserve each other. Left your home in the middle of the night during the pandemic…

  • I did what I could to clean the wound and stitch it. The medication also helped. You were lucky. You wouldn’t go any longer without my help.

Carlos and Kenny are extra characters in episode 1, but Kenny will appear in some of the future episodes.

  • Police Officer 1: Do you think it’s him? His head is all smashed. This makes identification significantly more difficult.

  • Police Officer 2: Yes, I’m on my way. So many accidents have happened in the past few days but today and yesterday were the worst. Only our police station is now available. Others in our nearest area are closed because all the people there got killed by those things. I hope we won’t be next.
