Synopsis
A parasaur rancher, Evelyn, and mech pilot, Oran, hesitantly help save the universe? Maybe? They think. They’re not sure, but it’s either help Evelyn’s older brother or go to jail for crimes they’re not entirely guilty of.

About Project
I'm a video editor, but this is an audio drama project I've been working on on the side. For the past three years I've worked on Let's Play content, but I'd like to branch out into more creative areas of media and entertainment. Let's Plays are fun but they are not narratives.
The audition/payment is just for episode one. It will be uploaded to Youtube. I will also upload to iTunes.
This project is experience and a resume builder for me. I want to start telling original stories. The Three Impossible Shapes is a series and, yes, I would like to continue it. I would contact the same actors and actresses for another episode (along with payment again).
I ask lines be delivered within 2-3 weeks. The project will be completed within a month of receiving all the voice work.
I appreciate your patience with this audition process (and greatly appreciate your audition too!).
Requirements
The siblings' Aunt Mayuri was a Grand Botanist and currently studying on the planet A78-67. She had twenty-two pet mer-cats and one gerbil named Gerald. When she called her sister's children it was often to ask them why they weren't married yet.
Although Alex was the reason she was on the N.N. Alhazen, he was not the reason she was in the ventilation duct. In fact, Alexander was unconscious in the ship's cafeteria, having been knocked out from a frying pan to the forehead.
Actually, this wasn't the worst day of her life. Evelyn had forgotten about the day her six month old raptor was run over by a tractor in front of her eyes.
Practical and demanding, Evelyn is looking forward to her piloting exams when her life is ruined. She had everything planned out too. In fact, Evelyn always wants everything planned out. If watching her mother, a Grand Commander of the United Human Coalition, has taught her anything it's that being prepared is the only way to get what you want. Although Alexander, her brother, is currently the star of the family Evelyn knows she can do better. She is always bossy and sometimes forgets other people have feelings too.
(angry/frustrated) I'm going to be that skeleton body that falls from the vent and freaks everybody out. They'll look at my mangled body and go, "Oh, this was that stupid girl that thought she could help her dumb, stupid brother. Some stupid alien must have dragged her here after she made a stupid, vain effort to escape. "
(worried) Oh please let that be rats. (pause to consider) Are there even space rats? Is that thing?
(bitter/frustrated) You couldn't have bothered to tell me you were wanted for desertion and murder though, could you, Alex? You just happened to leave out that little detail. No time to explain you said. Just get to the ship you said.
It's important to note that one of the reasons Alex had been arrested was under the suspicion he had joined the Blind Eyes. Oran was quickly learning this was not the case and that Alex was, in fact, just crazy.
While Alex vented his anger, Oran hung his head in defeat. It wasn't that his family didn't already see him as a failure, but now he would be even more of a disappointment. Accidentally associating himself with a criminal might even get him tossed out of the family.
When Oran was a child he spent his time drawing pictures of space ships and mechs. He read manuals for fun. While other children of high ranking parents prepared for lives in the public eye and readied themselves for things like inspiring speeches, fancy fund raising dinners, and learning how to pose for the paparazzi, Oran colored blueprints and explained Vitruvian principles to his dolls.
Oran just happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time when he accidentally saves Alexander. Although if you asked him, he'd always feel like he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He's only a recently graduated mech pilot because that's what his family is composed of. In fact, his older sister is one of the universe's most known pilots. Anxious, wobbly, and always one step away from insulting you under his breath, Oran knows he will never be good enough to be the favorite child of his family. Second best is all he can ever hope to be, and, honestly, sometimes he doesn't even want that. He can be passive aggressive if annoyed enough and too emotional if he over hears everybody talking about how great his sister is. He never wants to make waves or get in trouble.
(desperate) Look, he's crazy, but I have nothing to do with this! I'm just a cadet pilot. I don't even have an official license. I swear!
(annoyed) Will you shut up! Don't make it worse!
(hesitantly) Well, that is....Look, first off, I didn't put you in the air duct. And, well, second, you're clearly not dead. So even if I was disposing your body - which I'm NOT - I would be doing a poor job considering you're still alive.
Brash. Pushy. Confident. Over the top. Evelyn's older brother knows what to do and when to do it ( or so he thinks). He walks a thin line between inspirational and rude. He has no indoor voice.
(blunt/in a hurry) I needed your help. Not your trust.
(confused) Rabbits? Really? Most people think about death when they're dying, ya know?
(forceful/confident/slightly insane) You can't stop it from happening! The Science Council already knows! Killing me accomplishes nothing!
