(Looking for female-sounding VA's!) The Tamberlane Comic Dub (Chapter 3 Characters)
Project Overview
What is this?
A fandub of the webcomic Tamberlane by artist Caytlin Vilbrandt, led by a small group of voice actors (dubbed 'Spotted Marten')! We've covered Chapters 1 and 2 already with our existing cast. Chapter 3 introduces a small number of new supporting/minor characters, and this casting call serves to give you an opportunity to be their voice.
As a disclaimer, we have full permission to dub this comic by the authors.
Project Description:Tamberlane is a webcomic about a clumsy bat and her very human baby...The animal citizens of Treehollow have discovered a small, strange creature wandering alone in the forest: a human child! And they have no idea what it is. Clearly much too young to be on her own, it’s anyone’s guess how this mysterious being, named Tamberlane, ended up in their town of Treehollow.
Fostered by Belfry, the accident-prone bat, and guided by a colorful cast of animal characters, Tamberlane’s mysteries continue to unfold. But questions burn in everyone’s minds: who, and what, is she? And could she have something to do with the far-off and unspeakable taboo, Abroad?

Please read the information below!
- Most of the characters up for casting are marked as to be part of the 'Patreon Cast' - expressly, fans of the comic paid to have their character cameo as a side character or minor/extra character, and as the comic is ongoing, there is no guarantee for the character's reapparance within the comic. This is especially the case with those extra characters.
- As the comic is an ongoing project by the author, lasting commitment to the fandub is going to be expected. This is the case with recurring roles. We are less strict with extras.
- A significant level of technical and performance quality is going to be expected. Please ensure that your microphone is capable of recording your performance without picking up overwhelming background noises or excessive peaking/clipping.
- Discord is not required, but it is recommended as we utilize it to organize group rehearsals and deliver announcement (it's also been an incredibly useful tool for getting to know the people affiliated with the project and we've had a fair bit of fun with it.
If you're cast, you have the choice to be invited into our Fandub Discord.
