The Starborn Collective (Original Sci-Fi Audio Drama) - More Roles!
Project Overview
What is The Starborn Collective?
The Starborn Collective is a collection of three audio dramas - Two initial ones, titled Infested and Subliminals, and then Starborn, a sequel that voice actors from this wave will also be involved in. It will be produced by me, amidst a team of assistants who will be helping to produce it. It is a project that has been in development for several years but has now found its footing enough to begin the early stages of production.
Requirements:
Everyone on this team is relatively new and inexperienced, so we try to hold ourselves to the same standard that we hold any auditioning voice actors. You do not need to have a professional setup, however having a microphone that can record in good quality and having access to Discord is key to being able to partake in this project. A link to the public Discord server we have created can be found later in this description.
Payment:
Unfortunately, this project is pay-free for the foreseeable future. This is a passion project at the moment that we hope to gain traction on in the future, but it is not currently in our budget to provide payment as we are all young and aspiring creators. Of course, this is subject to change in the distant future if all goes well but is a consideration for the distant future.
Role Significance:
Some voice actors will have to fulfil greater expectations than others depending on the importance of the character that they voice. For example, being in a leading role for this project means that you will likely be interacting with myself and the other producers frequently, so it is good not to have an aversion to social interaction and becoming acquainted with us as a staff team and a community.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Most characters in this show are LGBTQ+ and end up in relationships that are also LGBTQ+. If you aren’t comfortable with portraying that, it’s best not to audition! Thank you!

Production on this project is a bit slow right now, seeing as we've only got one writer (our creator, Eden!), but we're working to remedy that actively!

Main Protagonist // Main Character. Ashley Brannock is a man whose heart is much larger than he would like to admit. He’s someone who’s always loved hard- He loves his family, his friends, his boyfriend, and now, his crew. He’ll do anything for anyone on the Avernus, which is the name of the ship he’s the captain (or, officially, Luminary) of. Despite everything, he’s very skilled at cracking a joke at the right time, and is known for being more than a little chaotic. He’s easily angered, though– And will snap at those he feels need to be put in their place. His passion for the cosmos is out of this world, and he prides himself on his knowledge. Ash’s speech patterns are akin to that of Junpei (Zero Escape Trilogy).
Also: Ash is a transgender male on T!! I'd love if some other transmasc folks (on T or not) auditioned for him, but you're welcome to audition for him either way!!

“… On behalf of my friends… As their voice, their power, and their desires… As their captain, I’ll be finishing this.”
Secondary Protagonist // Main Character. Warren is a socialite, he loves interacting with the people around him. His friendliness bodes well for his role as a diplomat, but by no means is he refined in his trade - He brings a small element of chaos to the team with his snark of an attitude, and his willingness to be an enabler to the chaos of the others. He's very supportive, and loves to indulge the others in their fun, albeit hectic ideas. We cannot quite pinpoint his inspiration, at the moment!

“Prys, you’re the best of us. If I were you, I would have drop kicked her corpse to the gum nebula.”
“Maybe next time give us some warning before you do a trick that has enough g-force to turn our bones into soup.”
Secondary Protagonist // Main Character. Wesley Smith is a bright individual, who cares a bit too much about too many things. He’s very compassionate and kind-hearted, and would do anything for his family and friends. He’s always able to brighten up the room, and manages to make anyone crack even a little smile. He’s one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, and almost everyone who’s spoken to him would agree. He’s a fantastic listener, too– he doesn’t like to talk that much, but he’ll always hear what you have to say. Wesley’s got a lot of inspiration taken from the fandom’s interpretation of Stanley (The Stanley Parable).

“Hey, when was the last time you slept–? You really need to get some rest, you know– It isn’t good for you or the rest of the crew if you keep trying to tough through like this…”
Side Character. Dr. Bailey is a stern man, who seems to be very dedicated to his work nonetheless. Bri seems to look up to him a lot, even having had pursued her medical career to help people like her father does. Dr. Bailey doesn’t have any particular inspirations, unfortunately!!
