When Robert Adams received a threatening letter which demands Ten-Thousand Dollars for his friend Lucy Knight descrating a shrine of Medusa in Asia Minor, Lamont Cranston believes it to be a hoax. But little did Cranston know... Adam was found found dead... Turned to Stone! Gregg Baker, a wealthy banker, receives a similar letter demanding ten-thousand dollars, Cranston rushes to his apartment building only to find him on the ground... Turned to Stone! How can this be? Is the Mythological creature known as Medusa real? The Shadow will get to the bottom of this! For the Shadow Knows!

No, it's isn't Lucy. I'm getting used to Lucy giving me the cold shoulder. Baker's right. She doesn't want either of us.
I received a threatening letter last week. It said that Lucy had desecrated the shrine of Medusa in her archeolological work in Aisa Minor. It said that Medusa would have to be pacified with an offering. It demanded ten thousand dollars.
Gregg Baker is a wealthy banker and a friend of Lamont Cranston. He is a member of the Savory Club. But when he found a letter demanding ten thousand dollars, he calls Lamont Cranston!

Lucy Knight was good friends with Robert Adams and Gregg Baker since college. She became an archeologist began traveling the world.

In Greek mythology, Medusa was a human female with living venomous snakes in place of hair. Those who gazed upon her face would turn to stone. She has threatened Robert Adams and Gregg Baker and demanding ten thousand dollars from both of them...
