Gregg Baker is a wealthy banker and a friend of Lamont Cranston. He is a member of the Savory Club. But when he found a letter  demanding ten thousand dollars, he calls Lamont Cranston!

  • Mr. Cranston, these charming ladies want to meet you. This is Miss Lucy Knight [Pause] and this is Miss Helen Steel [Pause] [Chuckle] And of course you ladies, know Bob Adams. 

  • Cranston I know I'm breaking the house rules but the ladies have been dying to see what the club looks like. 


    But it won't do us any good. Her life is exploring and traveling. She doesn't want either of us.

  • Cranston! Was rhat true about Adams.... The story in the paper this morning?


    Listen... I... I found a warning from The Medusa when I got home last night... I... I was supposed to pay ten thousand dollars by ten o'clock this morning....


    The Medusa... Coming into the room... Cranston! She -- She's taking off her mask! She... [Horrified Screams]
