The Seven Companions
Project Overview
Many years ago there was a war, known as The Resurrection Disaster. A Necromancer had taken hold in the city of Carenia, the city was filled with catacombs on the streets, for instead of a city of the living it was a city of the dead.
Carenia was used to dispose of the dead, while allowing the people that lived there to mourn their dead in a healthy manner.
But the Necromancer known as Ayern’ghul had different plans, he brought reach of the dead in the city to life, and those undead killed and turned their living relatives for the hunger that they had felt was too great for them to contain.
The city got overrun by the dead, and the king who ruled the kingdom and who ruled from Carenia, his guards couldn’t stop the undead, and soon they all joined the horde as well.
When the dead marched upon the fields, the spies of the other kingdoms had already sent ravens and doves with letters to their leaders.
Soon the armies marched from all over the land to the great mountain ranges of Eulehrmehr and Ehrenmuehr, there they confronted the undead hordes.
The battles lasted for weeks of non-stop combat, armies would fall back and others would take their place as they slowly killed off most of the undead pouring from the kingdom of Caderven where Carenia was the capital.
The lands were bleak, flowing red with the blood of the dead as the necromancer kept resurrecting the dead soldiers, who would join his army.
After the battle had taken weeks, the armies were dwindling, but with the arrival of the Dwarves that changed, they knew the mountains, and had built weapons that could manoeuvrer past the jagged rocks and had been finding their way through the mountains, to the sides of the undead army.
King Daeler from Isgaroth led his people at the front line, and the dwarves together with the armies of men, elves, goblins and other living-folk managed to slay most of the undead, finding their way to the back of the undead horde, where the necromancer guided his army from.
They confronted the necromancer and slayed his body, his soul they trapped inside of a container that the dwarves had built from the things that were nearly impossible to see or hear, using their magics.
When the necromancer fell, the undead stopped behind like a horde, and started to wander into the wastes of Caderven, lost without their leader.
Some would still occasionally wander towards the mountain range, so the living-folk started building a large wall, known simply as The Dead Wall.
Originally, The Dead Wall was made to keep out the undead from the other kingdoms, but soon they started using it as a prison for those that were deemed dangerous to the outside world.
Those known as Elementalists were born with the power to summon powerful magic bound to the elements, and have emotions so powerful, that their magic could expand outward, making people afraid of them.
These Elementalists would also be brought to The Dead Wall, where their powers would get removed from them if the leaders of The Dead Wall decided that they were dangerous to the people, or the mission to keep the undead out.
With the necromancer dead, the armies buried his body deep within Carenia, where nobody should be able to find him, as the location was kept to the leaders of the other kingdoms.
And those that wanted to resurrect him were taken prisoner, sent to The Dead Wall, where they were housed in prison cells, away from the daylight, and away from fresh air.
The wall kept growing, tall, wide, and high. Many years have passed since, and a darkness is growing within the world. People keep seeing storms rising above Caderven, and larger undead seem to have found their way to the wall as of late.
Everyone is wondering what is going on, and expeditions that were sent to Caderven and Carenia, never seem to return. So the world was getting ready to forget the war, and the many dead that roam the lands of Caderven.
That is, until a darkness brewed once more.
You are a princess of the elves, who is half elf and half giant-kin, for this you were bullied growing up. You are taller than most elves standing at an imposing 7’3” and have strong muscles and a general stronger physique.
Your girlfriend, Eriana Windborne and you have been dating going on 15 years now, and she is a caretaker of the Tiger-Ravens, beasts with the head and wings of a raven, but with the body and whiskers of a black tiger.
She is tending to one of them, and the elven queendom is under attack from undead who have broken through a a wall known as The Dead Wall, a wall that separates the lands of the living from Caderven, a land home to wandering undead after the Necromancer was killed 253 years ago.
The Tiger-Raven she is tending to, was bitten by one of the undead, and she is trying to make sure it does not turn in the stables.
Liliana: “What is wrong with it? Did one of those things..”
Eriana: “Yes, it got bitten, I am trying to make sure it doesn’t-”
Just as Eriana is responding and explaining what she is doing, the tiger-raven’s eyes turn blank and it rears its head, pecking off Eriana’s left arm.
Liliana: “No!”
Eriana screams and falls back as you jump into the enclosure and stomp the tiger-raven to death. Turning back to face Eriana she seems out of it, at first you think she is in shock.
But when she stands up and wanders up to you, you ask.
Liliana: “My love..? Are you okay..?”
She goes to bite you, and you instinctively punch her chest.
Liliana: “No.. I… You.. We were..”
And that is where the scene ends for the audition.

The situation is as follows: Your name is Ligh Mantra, you are an Elementalist, a type of being that has a blood connection to The Veils which is the source of magic in this universe.
Your particular gifts are fire based, you can breathe, throw and control fire. For this fact you are imprisoned at The Dead Wall, a prison and wall keeping out the Undead from the lands of the living folk.
This wall was erected 253 years ago, after a necromancer that controlled the undead was slain. Your gifts in this prison allow you to fight the undead better than the guards who simply have weapons of normal types.
You were raised by a Witch after your real parents gave you up for adoption to her. She taught you how to hide your powers, but also control them as your emotions can cause spikes in your magic levels causing magic to burst out of you.
You arrived in the prison at 16 years old, and are currently 20 years of age. You have a sibling by choice in the form of Aggie who never told you her last name.
She took care of your for 4 years, and today you two are assigned the Front Gate duty, meaning you are supposed to go out to the front of the gate with some guards, and probably end up dying in the process to keep out the undead.
You and Aggie lose control of your powers out of fear and anger, and when you are taken to The Room of Loss, Aggie is strapped down to the table to dilude the magic in her blood.
Ligh: “Let her go! You monsters! We won’t do it again!” to which Aggie responds “Let them do this Ligh, it means we might get freed later.”
A Guard chuckles and you throw him a death glare. “What’s so funny?” and the guard responds. “You belong to The Dead Wall, You will never be free.”
The prison shakes and Aggie’s blood and magic flows back into her, her powers take over and she causes a blizzard to appear in the room, killing the guards. And her last words to you are “Run Ligh!” before the encapsulates herself in a shard of ice.

You are either Etta and you are on a hunt with your brother to gather an elk for dinner for your family. The world as you know it is about to change as you head back with the elk being dragged behind you.
When you head back to your family, you spot your younger adopted brother Miridest with pale skin and bite wounds with his eyes glassy, he walks up to your parents as they go to him.
Etta: “Mom, dad no he is different!”
Ourm: “Wait don’t hug him!”
Your mom goes in for a hug which Miridest seems to bite into her shoulder, she screams and your dad tries to tackle Miridest and gets bitten too in the altercation. Your parents soon have the same glass eyed look and Etta starts dragging Ourm away.
Etta: “We have to go get help!”
Ourm: “But its mom and dad! And Miridest!”
Etta: “They are gone! We have to get to Lindist!”
Heading into the town of Lindist, only a couple roads away you see people being attacked by undead, and when three undead surround you, you hear a loud yell.
Aghbert: “GET DOWN!”
The tall old man swings his sword as you get down, and cleaves the undead in half. But he seems not to notice when he is snuck up upon by others.
Etta & Ourm: “Watch out behind you!”
You go in for the attack, and take down two of the four, and a large hound tackles the remaining two to the floor. When that is over, you watch the old man’s color drain from his face as what you assume are his wife and sons get killed by undead.
Etta: “We have to go to the Caravan Sir!”
Ourm: “He isn’t responding!”
Etta: “Sir we have to go!”
Ourm: “We have to go! Hurry!”
Then a couple of guards drag the old man named Aghbert with you, to the caravan, and lay him down in the back. That is where the Audition information ends.

You are Werther Aeselwidth, scholar and tutor in the ways of The Veils or what you called Veiliarum Magica, or The Magic of the Veils. You are a dwarf who can’t handle his ale.
You used to live in Lingarth until The Arcane Sisterhood contacted you about a teaching position at Isgaroth in their school. You have three students, Ilrama and Alorna as the undead have found their way through the Gates at The Dead Wall, a wall that was erected 253 years ago, after a necromancer that controlled the undead was slain. Your gifts in this prison allow you to fight the undead better than the guards who simply have weapons of normal types.
You are looking for your third student Asylahmehr, who had always been into the darker sides of the Veils magics, as he made deals with beings beyond what was known, and you had warned him that this magic is dangerous.
As you are entering a room of five students who have not reported yet to the teachers, you talk aloud.
Werther: “Alright you five, it is time to head to the great hall for-”
As you enter the room, you see Asylahmehr standing over the bodies of the students with a bloody knife in his hand. You reactively try to use magic on the dead students as they rise from the dead.
Werther: “Stay back! Wait why are you not-”
Your magic had no effect on them, as the spells rebound towards you, you exit and lock the door. When you enter the hallway, there are undead heading into the Great Hall, where students start screaming as they get killed.
Werther: “No… It can’t be.. this is.. this is too much.”
And you rush towards the front entrance of the school, finding your students fighting the undead with normal weapons as they tell you that their magic had no effect on these undead.
