Undertale Fanfic Audiobook "The Scientist" (Gaster needed!)
Project Overview
I'm continuing an ongoing project on my Youtube Channel to do an audiobook reading of the Undertale fanfic The Scientist, by Talkingsoup. Unfortunately, SeigiVA is unable to continue his role as Gaster due to commitments to other projects. So I need a new Gaster for chapters 7 through 10! Gaster's lines are conveniently bolded in the story (linked here), so that will give you a pretty good idea of the scope of this role. I'm producing this story one chapter at a time, and the role of Gaster will consist only of the bolded dialog. All of the narration and other voices will be done by me.
Please don't feel the need to imitate Seigi's voice or performance from the previous chapters. If you naturally have a voice like his that's great, but I want someone who makes the character their own more than I want someone who can do a good Seigi impersonation. A decent mic and quality of recording is needed of course, but I can clean it up some if needed. The deadline is a month, but depending on how long my other projects take it could go for longer. Doctor W.D. Gaster is the royal scientist of the Underground, and has accomplished great scientific feats for the betterment of the kingdom. He's highly intelligent, thirsty for knowledge, and motivated to succeed to the point of self-destruction. He tries his best to be genial and friendly to his colleagues, and is generally well-meaning. But he becomes more and more manipulative and manic as he slowly becomes consumed by his greatest project yet.
(proud, confident) “Essentially it was a matter of drawing power from all three souls. Creating a Save point, it seems, takes a rather absurd amount of Determination. I daresay that if a single human with that much Determination were to ever come along, they would have the power to overwrite the entire world to suit their whims.”
“And you think that will be enough? You think you can help me? The next time I lose myself, I might hurt you again. I might kill you.”
“I knew that skeleton would prove to be an obstacle. Pathetic. I should have had him killed.”
