The Psycho Lovers is a story about two people who hold psychotic tendencies.
The male protagonist, Elias, was your typical neighborhood child until the death of his mom. Since then, he and his family moved to get away from the past. His father began to spend time working to get away from reality, and his older sister had to take care of him.
The female protagonist, Amber, is an odd girl. And Elias doesn't remember her at all, but they somehow have a connection. Perhaps fate has stuck the two together to begun a blossoming romance? That is, if they can withstand every physical and mental obstacle.
Warning: Certain characters will need to sound younger than their usual voices for flashbacks/etc.
(Sorry for the bad summary, I don't wanna spoil much. And I just spent like 1-2 hours trying to log into CCC.)
Elias is the male Protagonist of The Psycho Lovers.
He always sounds like he's fed up with everyone and talks in a very blunt tone.
(Warning: The actor needs to sound like a younger version of the character at times.)
"Raven, you don't have to keep treating me like a kid anymore. I'm old enough to get a part-time job to help you pay for the bills."
"I didn't wait too long, maybe just 15 minutes? I was pretty spaced out so I couldn't really tell how long I've been waiting."
(Younger): "Leave her alone you bully!"
Amber is the female protagonist of The Psycho Lovers.
Amber is a sweet teen girl on the outside, but on the inside she's a crazy obsessed girl with a huge crush on Elias. Nobody knows why she's like this, but it must be from an old forgotten memory...?
Her voice is calm and soft, she tries to do her best every single time.
(Warning: The actor needs to sound like a younger version of the character at times.)
"You knew I was following you all along? Why didn't you say anything?"
"Ugh... This is so difficult. I have to give a good impression, but there are just so many choices..."
"When you left without saying goodbye that day, I was so heartbroken... But I still loved you, even when I thought I wouldn't get to see you again."
Raven is the older sister of Elias in The Psycho Lovers.
Raven is a kindhearted person who helped raise Elias after their father buried himself in his work. She's soft spoken and wants to make sure everyone is having a great day. She's rarely seen upset or angry, and when she is... Well let's just say she scares a lot of her close friends, even her younger brother who has resting b!tch face.
(Whispered tone): "Hey, hey, hey... Look at me, look at me okay? Everything will be alright."
"Morning sunshine, you're a bit early today. Did you sleep well?"
(Upset): "Where the hell were you?! Your son was in the hospital and you didn't bother to come and visit!"
Markus is the best-friend of Elias in The Psycho Lovers.
A fun social nerd who loves to play games, read comics, and cosplay.
(Surprise me with his Nigerian voice!)
"What's his deal? Every single day he thinks he's better than everyone just because his parents are rich."
"Is something on your mind? You keep spacing out when we got to the middle stages of every level."
"Dude I gotta go, my dad is gonna flip if I don't come home on time today."
Reese is a character from The Psycho Lovers.
Reese hangs out with two of his friends and is widely known in the school as a bully.
He likes to mock people and call them names whenever he can, and he's quite judgey.
"Oh look, it's the emo boy and his little Nigerian sidekick, I'm so scared. Why don't you two run off before you get hurt."
(A bit aggressive): "If you tell anyone about what you saw, I will make sure you'll live a life of misery."
"My parents are rich, and they each have very critical opinions on everything and anything. Which makes even more sense when they're politicians."
Daisy is Amber's best-friend from The Psycho Lovers.
A well-mannered young girl who is a tad bit interested in tragic love films. Which is very concerning to a lot of her friends.
"You finally asked him out?!"
"Uh, sorry, I don't think I can come to the party tomorrow."
"Hey sorry I'm late! I stopped by a store to get you these 'get well soon' flowers!"
Eleanor, or Elle, is a bookworm who spends most of her time in the library after school. She is a member of the literature club at the school, and is a witness to Kara's dangerous tendency to ignore her surroundings.
She has a voice that's in between high-pitch and medium-pitch.
(Positive Panic): "Oh my god! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
(Flustered): "I- Uh- What did you say?"
(After turning around to see the pot of stew on fire): "Kara! Kara, the stew! The stew is on fire!"
Kurt is the father of Raven and Elias Kane.
Kurt was a good father who split time for work and family, but now it's seemed as if all he cared about was work. He is openly sarcastic whenever he's annoyed.
He has a medium deep voice.
"Riah, kids, I'm home!"
"Don't you dare yell at me! I've been through enough, and you're lucky that I still help pay for the roof over your head!"
"Your mother, would've definitely slapped me earlier when I came to visit you. And I've had my head stuck underground because I should've been your father and watched over you. Both, you and your sister."
Zechariah is the mother of Raven and Elias Kane.
Zechariah is a very caring and patient mother, one would even say she's the perfect mother. She puts her family before her hobbies and always manages to spend time with them.
Her voice is quite soft, soft enough that could sing a lullaby and cause someone to pass out almost immediately.
Yes, she is a fan of punk music.
"You made a new friend? That's nice. What's their name?"
"I know I may not be the real deal, but just know that... I am so proud of you. And I will always love you, my son."
Gage is a character from The Psycho Lovers. He is going from late teens to early 20s.
Gage is part of a band known as The Twilight Trinity, alongside his girlfriend Callie and her younger sister.
Gage has very severe anxiety and Callie makes sure to check up on him every now and again to check up on him and possibly calm him down.
"The lobster is really good, you should try it."
"Are you talking about our freshmen year?"
"I wasn't great at using a guitar, but Callie kept cheering me on. And thanks to her I got way better at using the guitar than I ever was."
Jadyn Blisman is a fun, understanding teacher, who can easily tell if something seems off with one of her students. But when she's serious, that's when you know someone may get sent to the Principal's office.
I don't have a particular voice in mind. So go wild! Be creative!
(Excited): "Good morning class! Today I have some very fun and interesting news to tell you!"
(Serious): "If nobody settles down in the next 10 seconds, all of you are going to the Principal's office!"
Your typical Bully's sidekick. Aiden is a very minor character in The Psycho Lovers.
I don't have an idea for what voice he may have, but the range is somewhere in the middle.
"Yo Reese, you coming? Reese? Reese!"
(Scared) "Y- Yes ma'am."
Mars Flair, a child named after a planet, is a (literal) minor character in The Psycho Lovers.
A very active boy that loves to play soccer, gets confused about the topic of love, but loves his family very much. Mars, at first, seems to be a brat but he's just confused about how the world works.
"I will never understand what you see in that guy sis."
"Don't you just wear a dress and go? That's how they normally do it in the movies."
Rey Flair, a girl named after the rays of the sun, is a (literal) minor character in The Psycho Lovers.
A bit of a bookworm, a bit snobbish and sassy, and swears upon her life that she will never fall in love, Rey is the complete opposite of her younger twin brother.
"If you don't like the rain, I'm afraid we can't be friends."
"Mom! Eugh, stop it. I will never fall in love, even when I'm old as you."
Kara, the infamous girl who ignores her surroundings quite too often. She's quite a clumsy girl, which should've been obvious since she broke 3 plates trying to help her parents around the house.
She has a medium-pitched voice.
"What's that smell? Is something burning?"
*nervous laughter* "I don't think you'd want me around your kitchen, or anything that can break easily."
For the project, we wish to have someone make the backgrounds for the story since the game itself also has a lack of background that we need.
