Book Overview

Amir Asterios, Son, Husband, and Father, all of these titles were taken away from him in one single day. Watching his entire family perish in brutal executions changed something in him. The gods offered retribution, and he took it.

The Phantom of Galdoria is set in a fantasy world where gods have walked the realm, dragons soar in the sky, and the undead roam. But this story is very much personal. A war may be raging on the continent, but for a man who lost everything, he doesn't care. His only goal is to get his daughter back.

Voice Actor's Overview

TPoG's Audiobook is to be released roughly 1 Month after the book's release for those who want to enjoy it in an audio-based medium. The VAs will be recording the lines of their characters across all chapters of the book, with the perspective characters being paid per chapter due to the high workload they have.

VAs will not be paid extra for their lines in other chapters.

I'd like to have the VAs in the audiobook return to their roles in the future when I have written more books. Those whom I want to return are as follows: Kayla Seaton, Valorie Asterios, and Solara Asterios.

Speaking Character VAs will be supplied an E-Book version of The Phantom of Galdoria. The remaining characters will be given a document with their lines and the context to accompany it. Or you can purchase the book when it's published.

Casting Call Overview

This Casting Call will have content from Draft 2. These lines are subject to change.

There may not be any updates for at least a month. I will not begin casting until i feel like the book is close to publishing. So there may be a rather large gap between your auditions and being cast.

The main reason why im casting this early is that in previous experience, it is incredibly hard to find female VAs, and surprisingly enough, most of the speaking characters are women.

  • Narrowing Down Roles

    Ive listened to everyone's auditions and i have to say i am blown away by the talent you all have. I have made some decisions as of now about who will be recieving the roles.

    However there are some of you that ive left comments on about notes and requests for you to audition for another role i think you might fit well into.

    Ill be giving it about 3 days before i solidify any of my decisions. For the roles i am definatly sure on ill be reaching out to you via discord or on CCC if you have not provided that so please keep an eye on your DMs.

    I've been busy but I've been working on the book mostly and everything ill need for advertising so in doing so I've extended the deadline to the 17th of January.

As his domain is the darkness I feel a certain tone of quietness is how he mainly talks but his voice still carries a presence to him. he isn't silent but his presence carries him if that makes sense.

Perspective Character (7 Chapters)

Character Overview:

Solara Asterios is an incredibly caring and capable individual. She was once from a minor family of notoriety, but she married into Nobility. Her past is complicated. She is what the realm knows as a Light Born. Beings of incredible power, and the direct descendants of the Gods themselves. This fact is a closely kept secret of Solara. No one apart from her family knows of this secret. Not even her Husband (Amir) or Daughter (Valorie) is aware of how much power she truly has.


At the start of TPoG, she is caught off guard by the military within the city. She fought hard to protect her daughter, but was quickly overwhelmed. She would seemingly be killed in the massacre of House Asterios by the hands of Edward Haytham. Solara would not be present for the first part of the book. However, in Part 2, she returns under an alias, The Lightseeker


As her new identity, she would try to limit her mannerisms of Solara Asterios and conform to another as she tries to get her daughter back. She would do this alone until she met an entity that would be called. The Shadows. In Part 3, she helps recover her daughter and escape the city.

  • He has always been the self sacrificing type, since i've known him he had always been fiercely protective of his friends and even more so with his family. Seeing him the way he is now, distant, closed off. He's still the man I love underneath all that rage and anger but now something else looms over him.

  • I can tell he hates the way he looks, I've noticed him pulling away from my touch ever so slightly, I could tell he cannot quite believe what he sees, his reluctance and self sacrificing to try and regain our biggest loss of our lives. All of these things I can tell he took on as his responsibility are the same thoughts I've been having myself.

  • The library held old schematics of the artificers from across the realm, young and old, famous and minor. All accumulated knowledge is sent to the temples and districts for safe keeping so designs and knowledge cannot be destroyed easily.

Character Overview

Valorie Asterios is a young noblewoman who is an incredibly strong-willed and compassionate person by nature and will do anything to protect her family when she can. At times, she can be unaware of certain things in the city, like civil unrest, and sometimes be unaware of how the world really is compared to the rest of the working-class people in the city.


After Chapter 1 of the book, she is unwillingly taken away after watching her entire family being killed in front of her. This is when the Valorie we knew will halt in her memory. What replaces her throughout the book is a very confused woman who doesn't really know who she is apart from her first name. Her mind was altered to favor the antagonist of the book (Edward Haytham). He would influence her to be his bride through magical means of suggestion.


At the end of the book, she is rescued and has her memories restored. She doesn't remember much of her time under Edward's influence, but will be tormented by nightmares and resurfacing memories well into her adulthood. (I am writing a book series about her specifically. This book will come out after TPoG)

(There is a large chunk of the book where Val's personality is warped beyond recognition, but in short, she is very susceptible to suggestion around this time and is more confused in the way she speaks and how she conducts herself, with no memory past 1-4 days. Very specific, but for this audition, focus on the inspirations above.)

  • The markets were loud today, Mum sent me to get some necessities for dinner tonight. I don't know why she didn't send Dad to get them, but at least Kayla was able to come out today to make this a bit more palatable. My best friend and noblewoman like me, we weren't fans of this title we've been born into. In a way I personally find it to be too much for me. I'd rather be in my room reading or just anywhere but those mansions and extravagant balls.

  • The world was spinning all around me, too much was going on. Before I even knew it we were out of the mansion and in the streets of Galdoria. The streets were desolate, it was strange for this part of the city to be barren of anyone. That was until I saw the palace, as I gazed up at the large castle I saw it ablaze. “Are we under attack” I asked my mother, she didn't reply as she too gazed at the burning palace.

  • In the three days we've been in Villa Varkon my father still hasn't arrived, Mum has been beside herself in the days since. I still can't believe what I heard about him when I was… gone. Darrian described him as unwavering in trying to get me back, Mum said he had a pact with a god, and Meris didn't know what to think. I still can't believe what has happened to the city since we heard that Galdoria had an uprising, the king was assassinated in his palace and his high knight was also killed in the same room.

Character Overview:

Meris Haytham is a Noblewoman, she outwardly dislikes her family and would rather stay disconnected from them. However, she is obligated to do her duties to her house and conform to the social norms of her family. This would be how she stays until the Massacre. She would become disillusioned by her family and grow to hate them.

  • As he stepped out of the window I felt sick to my stomach, I saw Darrian feel the same. The darkness that Amir left behind slowly dissipated as his footsteps echoed into a whisper in the dark. How did he survive? I asked myself, I had heard tales of men and women binding their souls to fiends and devils, hell i've spoken to them before, most of those individuals i met during the war.

  • Darrian and I spoke for the rest of the night, both of us expressing our grief for those who we lost, including the once happy man that was Amir. I left just before midnight, Amir still hadn’t returned to the building, However different he may be now he is still a man of his word. I took to the streets and walked my way home.

  • The fire simmered out as the smoke slowly dissipated in front of me. I searched the wreckage for a few minutes, looking for anything to salvage for my friend. As I pulled debris away I found multiple scorch marks on the floor, I looked at the walls, the same marks were all over the remaining walls still standing.

Character Overview:

Darrian Fowler is the best friend of Amir Asterios and nobleman of House Fowler. He is the leutenant of the Royal Guardsmen and serves as a protector to the royals. This would be until the massacre of House Asterios where he would defect from the guardsmen and help rescue Valorie Asterios. He is regarded as one of the most skilled fighters on the continent.

  • I felt like death, plagued by nightmares of the eradication of my own house by Amir’s hand. Waking up to him looming above me didn't help, that darkness made me feel like death was just grazing me. A sensation that will take some getting used to. I kept thinking back to Amir on the wall, cleaving through the men like they were nothing, the darkness forming around him as he wholly consumed them in the immense dark.

  • I would have been killed had it not been for my gifts, the familiarity of the pattern also helped but the power behind his attacks were like nothing i've ever felt before. At that moment I didn't see Amir, I saw a wraith coming to collect a debt. Slowly throwing those thoughts out of my head I managed to make it to the barracks before roll call. The barracks stood just opposite the palace, adding an additional layer of security to it for the King.

  • I walked through the halls of the barracks, a large set of buildings where we slept, trained and planned for operations and warfare. It was busier than usual, considering the war that the king had started, a war that I didn't agree with. Especially since what happened with House Asterios, that void would be a large and noticeable one to fill. I don't think any house could fill that void, their humanitarian efforts were unmatched.

Character Overview:

Edward Haytham is a man grasping for power. He will do anything to get it, even if he has to enslave an innocent girl to do so. He is the primary antagonist of the book and has a half chapter from his perspective. He holds a new magic called The Crimson. This magic is unknown to the realm and is something powerful and old. He orchestrates the deaths of House Asterios to ensure he gets what he wants

Character Overview:

Iris Giles was a protester in the city, fighting against the continued use of excessive force within the city. One day, the guards advanced against their peaceful protest and began cutting them down. Iris was among those attacked in the protest. She would be saved by Meris Haytham and stabilized.


Later on, she creates a splinter group from the protestors, people who match the brutality of the guardsmen to protect their homes and people from the upper class. Iris would form a group of Assassin-like individuals.

Character Overview:

Vallice is one of the first friendly faces outside of Amir's inner circle that we encounter. She is relatively closed off and doesn't go into her personal life apart from helping where she is needed, in body or spirit. She is a very cheery person by nature and is always smiling, a stark contrast to the god she pledged her life to.


Inspirations (Voice, Appearance, Personality)

Vallice is a harder character to convey in terms of inspirations because I didn't really think of any when I wrote her character. Her appearance is reminiscent of Emeraude Toubia's in that she doesn't appear outwardly dark, but has a sense of darkness surrounding her. Im happy with whatever you want to do with her that reflects the overview.

Character Overview:

Kayla is featured in the prologue with Valorie. Both Kayla and Val are best friends and are incredibly close with each other. Kayla has an air of grace to her, where she is more conforming to her family, as she hasn't been allowed to stay away from her role as a noblewoman. She is more in line with a stressed-out student trying to get high grades. I have plans for her later on, but for now, this is it.
