Project Overview
NOTE: This series does NOT have one strict continuous storyline. Think Bobs Burgers, Gravity Falls, South Park, Family Guy, or classic sitcom style - each episode is its own contained story focusing on different characters and conflicts (a school dance, PTA drama, neighborhood feuds, etc.).
HOWEVER, there ARE ongoing character relationships, development, and major plot threads that slowly build across seasons.
DESCRIPTION OF THE SERIES:
It’s a chaotic comedy series set in the suburban town of Maplecrest (in the “country” of Roblox) following multiple interconnected families and characters. Think South Park meets Modern Family - episodic stories with recurring characters, occasional adult humor, and occasional serious moments. Each episode focuses on different drama happening with the kids, teens, or adults in the neighborhood, while slowly building toward bigger reveals.

Personality:
A tired, overworked mother of four with a blunt, sarcastic sense of humor. Marlene is generally laid-back and practical, but becomes highly competitive when it comes to her kids—especially at sports games. She’s not concerned with appearances and values honesty over social niceties.
Appearance:
Casual and low-maintenance. Usually wears jeans and a random T-shirt, no makeup, and keeps her hair in a messy bun.
Voice:
Lower-toned, slightly tired delivery with dry sarcasm.

Personality:
Kelly is an uptight, image-conscious mother who prioritizes health, routine, and appearances above all else. She presents herself as polished and put-together, but can come across as judgmental, controlling, and out of touch. She strongly enforces a strict “clean lifestyle” for her family, often to an excessive degree. While she believes she’s doing what’s best, her rigid mindset and subtle biases can make her difficult to be around.
Appearance:
Always well-groomed and put together. Typically seen in coordinated athleisure or fitted, feminine outfits. Hair is styled, makeup is natural but intentional.
Voice:
Feminine, controlled, and slightly condescending. Maintains a polite tone even when being dismissive.

- Strict “almond mom” — heavily restricts sugar and junk food

She is practical, no-nonsense, and values structure, but remains caring and deeply devoted to her family. Due to her demanding schedule, she is often exhausted and unintentionally overlooks the constant bickering between her children.

He is loud, friendly, and deeply loving toward his family, but extremely oblivious to what’s actually going on in their lives. Gullible and terrible at reading the room, Tom often believes anything his kids tell him and unintentionally embarrasses them—especially Timmy.

Ruth is a kind, gentle, and friendly elderly woman who is beloved around the neighborhood. She is warm and welcoming to everyone, often acting as a grandmother figure to the community. While supportive and open-hearted, she can be unintentionally insensitive at times due to growing up in a different era, often speaking from a place of innocence rather than malice.

Shaky, soft, and elderly with a warm, comforting tone.

- Known for baking cookies and offering them to neighbors
- Tends to excuse or soften Harold’s behavior

Harold is an irritable, short-tempered elderly man who is often rude and resistant to change. He holds outdated and prejudiced views, frequently voicing blunt and inappropriate opinions without concern for others. Easily annoyed, he tends to complain about the neighborhood and younger generations. Despite his harsh demeanor, much of his behavior is played for comedic contrast—especially alongside his kind and gentle wife, Ruth.

Shaky, weak, and aged, with a gruff and easily agitated tone.

Voice: Soft, sweet in public (rehearsed), shaky and desperate in private, sometimes dissociates mid-conversation
Occupation: Pastor’s wife (full-time job of maintaining image)
- White, blonde hair in modest style, floral dresses, pearl necklace (wedding gift she can’t take off), too much foundation covering dark circles, thin from stress, trembling hands, dead smile
Mental State: Severe depression, anxiety, PTSD, heavily medicated (Xanax, Valium, antidepressants), sometimes takes too many pills “by accident”
Backstory: Married David at 22, he was charming seminary student, abuse started slowly, now she’s been trapped for 26 years, has tried to leave twice (didn’t end well), stays to protect Gabriel

Voice: Smooth Southern preacher, cold and threatening in private, can switch instantly
Occupation: Senior Pastor of Meadowbrook Community Church (22 years)
- The church he’s running is secretly a cult, and he’s the leader.

- Public Image: Perfect family man, pillar of community, gives moving sermons, does charity work, everyone loves him
