A fandub of the final scene between Takumi Sumino and Nozomi Kirifuji in the "Farewell, Last Defense Academy" ending of The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy. I will be playing Takumi in this fandub and I'm looking for someone as a scene partner to voice Nozomi!
HUGE spoilers for one of the most important endings in the game (in my opinion) so if you have any interest in The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy and want to stay spoiler-free, turn away now!
I say this in the character description for Nozomi, but I'm not looking for an exact voice match (although you're welcome to try one) so much as I'm looking for someone to match the intense and emotional delivery of the original scene.
I apologize for the low pay rate of $20, but since this is just a passion project and I'm only working part-time while I try to fully pursue my dreams of theatre and voice acting- $20 is really all I can afford. Especially since I'll be paying someone to edit/mix the fandub audio as well. I'd prefer Paypal for payment but can work with Venmo as well.
I don't care about the type of mic you use (be it USB or XLR), I'm just looking for good quality audio regardless of setup. No background noise/static, echo/reverb, etc.
Thank you in advance to anyone who checks out this project and auditions for it! The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is what's recently inspired me to start pursuing voice acting again in earnest- so I wanted to honor what this game has done for me in some way. And this scene really spoke to me when I first played/read it (and by that I mean it turned me into a sobbing mess).
This project, once complete, will be posted to my YouTube channel Noah's Archive- a channel where I do analysis/review videos on various media such as visual novels and anime. When cast, please do let me know how you'd like to be credited. Also do let me know if you'd like to be considered for other future fandub/voice acting-related projects I start up in the future!
The deadline for auditions CAN be extended if need be, but I'd rather get this project done sooner rather than later!

I have assigned/cast the role of Nozomi (a very difficult decsion since everyone's submissions were great)- but just know that even if you weren't cast for this, when I find myself starting another project and needing voice actors/actresses again, I will absolutely be coming back to the talent that auditioned for this project!

The kind-hearted and passionate scene partner who mysteriously (or not so mysteriously by the time of this scene) bears a resemblance to Takumi Sumino's childhood friend: Karua Kashimiya. In this scene she is the (soon to be) sole survivor of the Special Defense Unit after everyone gave their lives to stop the missile attack that would have annihilated the innocent residents of the planet Futurum. She is understandably sad and a little scared as this scene is her learning ALL of her friends are now dead and the last surviving one (that she is implied to have romantic feelings for) is dying in her arms. There's also an added tragic angle that her mother helped research/kickstart the events that would lead to this tragic scene/ending.
You do NOT have to go for an exact voice match, but feel free to if that's something you'd like to try! I care more about matching the emotional beats/nuance of her lines, which is why I'm going to leave a link to the scene these audition lines are from so you can use it as a reference. I will still include emotional directions in the actual audition lines- but I'm not always the best when it comes to describing these sorts of things in detail so I'd recommend just watching the scene to completely understand what I'm going for.

*Panicked, desperate. She is holding her gravely injured friend in her arms after seeing him flung out of a massive explosion* "Takumi! Stay with me!"
*Sorrow, despair, pain, tears starting to stream down her face. Feel free to include natural breath intakes in between the sentences. It's meant to be extremely emotional/draining so it won't be distracting (you don't have to though)* "No...This is...s-so horrible...This isn't how it was supposed to be...It can't end like this!"
(Previous/final line by Takumi: "Don't run off on me...again...) *A gentle, happy tone that's tinged with sorrow/pain. She's offering final, comforting words to her dying friend whose body has just gone limp and whose eyes have closed for good* "I won't. I'll be right here with you."
