Project Overview
The Highlands is a fantasy audio drama following the journey of the protectors of a forbidden spellbook. For generations, the Irving and Urquhart families have protected the spellbook—until the King of the South, an ambitious man named Ryan Rutherford, killed its current protectors, Aldon Irving and Rose Urquhart. The King of the South then killed Rose’s daughter, Thora, as well.
In the chaos of the battle, a centaur named Vrefurn resurrected Thora, but was overwhelmed by the spirits within the book before he could bring Aldon and Rose back to life. He vanished into the night. With the original protectors of the spellbook now dead, it’s up to their children, Oscar Irving and Thora Urquhart, to help protect the kingdom from the evil that desires the book’s power.
In a world full of mischief, ruin and magic, how long will it be before the duo get into trouble? Can they keep the peace as their parents did before them? Will they protect the book from Ryan and Vrefurn?

Chara Info: Princess Ashryn is the Daughter of the current King, Alistair Bruis. The Princess is known for being courageous and outgoing. She often disobeys her Fathers orders due to not fully believing in all of the laws that have come to be under his reign. Ashryn is determined to take her Fathers place and is currently entrusted with the Royal Guard. She'll do whatever it takes to keep The Highlands safe from evil, even if it means getting her hands dirty.
Ashryn is great at looking out for others once she gets to know them. She'd lay down her life for her kingdom and often takes things into her own hands. She's not your ordinary Princess and is often out, on missions, with the Royal Guard, whether her father agrees with it or not.
Ashryns voice needs to be reflective of her noble but somewhat soldier-like side as well as reflecting all of her personality traits. She needs to be seen as a character who has a steady head on her shoulders and knows what she's doing. Or, at least she acts like she does.
[Speaking to Thora & Oscar, apologising for not being able to stop the bloodshed at their village] (apologetic) Look, I'm sorry my men couldn't be of much assistance sooner but I'll be damned if that stops us from protecting you now.
[Mocking Ryan Rutherford, the villain within the series, who keeps retreating when in battle] (witty, sarcastic) If you're such a strong leader, Ryan, why don't you start acting like it and stop running away!
[Commanding Torin and his men to get ready for battle] (stern, commanding) We have to act now! Torin, get your men ready at once! Fetch the horses! Thora, Oscar, with me!
