THE GANG'S ALL HERE....Again.
History: Back in December of 2014, I created a bunch of characters for the fun of it. Then me and my good friend thought "Huh, wouldn't it be cool if we did something with these guys?" And so we did! We gathered some friends to help with voices and other behind the scenes stuff, and after 2 years of planning, sketching, making new characters and a LOT of learning...our first episode was released in summer 2016. We were so excited to have this web series become a reality, but sadly nothing lasts forever. Lots of problems happened during production that it became too much to handle. So with a heavy heart, me and my friend decided to end the series after only 4 episodes and 2 shorts.
But I wasn't ready to completely throw in the towel, so in 2020 I discussed with my friend about reviving TGAH. We made the first script, brainstormed ideas for the revival, even put out a casting call for a couple characters. But unfortunately, things fell apart before things could even get rolling. It felt like the project was cursed.
I however am very stubborn, so now more than ever I am determined to give The Gang's All Here a proper chance and make it the webtoon I've always dreamed of. But I'll be needing lots of help, that's where you come in! So without further ado, I am introducing a total reboot and reimagining of this series to give it a fresh start. New plot, new characters, new cast, new everything! Let's get this started shall we?
Plot: Taking place in 2014, 14 year old Jeremy Parker and his family have just moved from England to a small, "uneventful", southeastern town in America looking for a fresh start. He's hoping to have a somewhat peaceful high school experience in his new town, maybe make a couple of friends and overall just avoid any humiliation. But then came along an outgoing (and slightly obnoxious) boy named GiGi, who quickly grows fond of him and takes him into his circle where he meets the little schemer named Ellia, who is always up for getting into something that mostly leads into trouble. There is also a mysterious grunge-type girl named Alex, who immediately captures Jeremy's interest, but she wants nothing to do with almost anyone. After meeting all together, they form an unlikely group of friends and shenanigans ensue.
But when they’re not trying to find new ways of avoiding the bore of school, or dealing with Connor and his crew's attempts at ruining their plans, they’re dealing with much weirder things…and not just your typical coming of age weirdness. What kind of "nothing ever happens here" town did Jeremy move to?
Please note: At the moment, unfortunately this is technically an unpaid project. But I have it labeled as deferred since compensation WILL be given but in small amounts at the start, payment will be discussed once cast officially. Sorry for any confusion or if it came of as misleading!
Requirements: THIS IS A LONG TERM PROJECT! This is intended to go on for quite some time, must be committed and patient. Please understand this project will be slow at first, but it is about the fun of it.
- 18+ ONLY to audition! This series won't deal in heavy or NSFW stuff, but it isn't kid friendly either. Some sensitive topics will be used and must be okay with occasionally swearing (mild).
- For auditions, two takes per line is preferred. Feel free to improvise as well, since I'd also like some authentic dialogue through the series!
- Must have a Discord, please leave username in audition since that will be the main source of communication!
- Well treated USB mics and XLR mics Only. No phone or cheap headset microphones. Try not to have any popping, hissing, clipping, or background noises in audio.
- NO voice effects or altering audio whatsoever. Only basic cleanup and editing, please.
- Availability is important, there will be deadlines for lines and other things. But I understand if things happen! Just be sure to communicate.
- Live Direction will be optional, but if I feel like I need to personally tell you how I wanted a scene to go I will ask first if it is okay to do so.
-Please Note that the voice references in the description for each character does not need to be perfectly mimicked, it's there to simply give an idea of how I imagine the character sounding. Give your own spin if you'd like!
Most importantly....have fun! Once cast, you will be asked to join the Discord server and you must be a decent human being. Don't be a jerk or hateful in any kind of way. Any reports of animosity or attacking against the cast and crew will result in being kicked from the project immediately. It is mandatory that everyone is able to work together and get along :)

Hello all you talented peeps! I hope everyone's holiday season was swell. We are at the 2 week deadline for this first wave of auditions and crew assembly. I have listened to all your submissions and I am absolutely blown away, I already can tell it's gonna be a hard decision when casting day comes. But we're not done yet! Keep 'em coming, I'd like to see more love for Toby Matthews and Ms. Cooper. And also a few more musicians throw their tunes into the ring as well.

I've had a handful of people add me on Discord just to ask questions about the project/payment deal, and that's fine but I prefer if you'd DM me here on Casting Call Club instead of going through all that. What I really do not want is adding me on Discord solely to convince me to cast before the deadline. Everyone has to go through the audition process including the bg artists and musicians, no exceptions. Transgender actors only, this character is canonically trans!
Personality: Jeremy is the new kid in town, and it's obvious. Never really having a good experience with solid friendships, Jeremy is pretty shy and awkward. But once comfortable he is very enthusiastic to share his interests and to overall be himself, which is louder and more confident. He loves any opportunity to give fun facts about things he is very knowledgeable on, once he knows someone long enough he can't seem to stop talking and his nervous stutter vanishes.
Jeremy is the most anxious one of the gang, usually the first one to oppose to the shenanigans they get into but ends up caving in anyways. Afterall, this is his fresh start with new opportunities awaiting!
Voice: Jeremy has a soft medium - medium high pitched voice, he has a small stutter but it depends on the situation. His voice does have uncertainty and anxiety but can also be oddly soothing when he's completely calm. His accent is London area based, but as the series progresses over the years his accent begins to slowly fade out become less pronounced.

*Nervously introducing himself to a classroom* H-hello. Uhm…My name is Jeremy Parker. And…I uhm. I’m w-well…not great at these things as you can tell. *Laughs awkwardly*
*Startled, and confused by the situation* Wh-why? What!? So...you're telling me your toy..stuffed rabbit can just...i-it talks?! And you just, you're just going to say "oh yeah he does that"? As if it's just another Tuesday?!
*Excited, talking almost too fast out of pure giddiness* Oh! Is that what I think it is? *Gasps* It is! Mind if I join you? I am a massive Hyper Humans fan. I can tell you EVERYTHING, literally everything! Who's your favorite character so far? Tell me how far you are so I don't spoil anything because it gets bloody crazy after the Social Society arc.
Personality: A young lady of few words who just loves listening to music and trying to tune out life's problems. But don't let her quietness fool you...Alex is also very fiery and quick to lash out a good insult when provoked. Alex is a strong person, but prefers to keep to herself, and others at a comfortable distance. She is always waiting for the worst to happen when things are going a bit too well, but is never overly pessimistic. Although while still having a wall up, around her friends she is noticeably more talkative and her more interesting personality really shines through.
Voice: Alex always speaks monotone, unless obviously really angry or showing other intense emotions. Her voice is medium pitch, and is of Italian descent but doesn't have a strong accent due to her being born and raised in America. Although her slight Italian accent slips through when is growing irritated.

*Not believing a story* Hate to break it to ya but uhhh, yeah no. School's not haunted, dude. It's only full of kids who FEEL dead.
Personality: Your cookie cutter high school bully with a painfully obvious fake New Yorker accent. Although to be a bully, you got to be good at you know...bullying. Which Connor fails miserably at. He is still a major jerk, but he can't seem to do anything mean enough to really get under the skin of someone. His insults are weak, he can't even be intimidating (hence the fake accent to try to come off as a tough guy). If anything, sometimes he comes off as annoying. At the end of the day, Connor is obviously someone pretending to be someone he's not to mask how he really feels and who he is. But he is extremally stubborn and very prideful...he'd never let anyone know how vulnerable and soft he actually is. Not even to his own crew.
Voice: As mentioned, Connor wields a really bad stereotypical Brooklyn accent all for show, but when cornered or serious his true voice is revealed. He has a medium - medium low voice and is nearly hypnotic with how smooth his natural voice is, compared to the almost nasally and higher pitched voice he has when doing his fake accent.

*Introducing, being fake polite* Eyyy Jeremy it is awesome to meet ya! I take it you’re not from here are ya? ‘Cus everyone from around here knows this is our table and well...*chuckles, tone changes* I was just wonderin’ why the hell you’re sitting in my spot? *Back to being fake nice* But hey, I’m willing to be a super nice guy and let ya off with a warnin'. Arright?
*Defensive, trying to intimidate but failing miserably* I'm tellin' ya, dis is a real accent! Keep spreadin' lies and I'll spread my hand over your stupid mug. Or...yeah whateva! Ya get what I'm sayin'.
*In normal voice, no fake accent* Ugh, I guess if I'm stuck with you I can drop the bogus accent...but tell anyone else and I swear, I'll...I-I'll er...Forget it. I'll surprise you!
Personality: The teal haired dude with the 'tude. Jack is hardly ever seen smiling, barely speaks more than 2 sentences, and just seems to always be in a bad mood. Is it because of his snooty girlfriend who's always bossing him around or insulting him? Is it living in a tiny house with 4 other people? Or is it getting held back a year in the 3rd grade and his friends always bringing it up as a "joke"? Whatever it is, it certainly has him in a permanent funk.
Voice: Jack's voice is of medium low pitch, and speaks with surfer dude kind of mannerisms. There is also a light country twang to his accent but not heavy.

*Hesitiant, was just told to do something by Connor* Not really feelin' like getting all that heat honestly, man. Just got outta ISS last week remember?

*Insulting GiGi* He must smell really good for you to be so far up his ass all the time, bro.
African American Actors Only
Personality: Sweet Toby seems to of gotten in with a crowd that doesn't match his personality whatsoever. But he doesn't mind since he sees the good in both Connor and Jack....not so much in Stella though. Toby doesn't necessarily partake in the harshness the rest of the crew does, but instead just tries to be the voice of reason and makes sure nothing escalates to the extreme. That doesn't mean that he doesn't let some sarcastic remarks slip out sometimes and is quick to call out pure stupidity..
Voice: Medium pitch, his voice should come off as very caring and sweet. He never raises his voice, but even when annoyed his voice should still be eerily polite. Like Jack, he has a small southern twang to his voice.

*Softly, trying to deescalate the situation* I have to agree, I think that maaaaybe this is taking it too far, Connor. I think it's best to just walk away this time.
*Apologizing to Jeremy, throwing sass about Stella* You have to excuse her, she doesn't have a filter due to growing up in a literal mansion and being severely allergic to the word "no" her whole life.
*Reassuring, almost directing* I promise he doesn't hit hard, just do him a huge favor and pretend it hurts! Really helps his already fractured self confidence.
Personality: Daughter of the town mayor, Stella is one of the richest girls in school. And she loves letting it be known with her appearance and bragging about all the things she can afford. Stella doesn't exactly have a popular girl clique, not even the popular kids seem to like being around her extreme narcissism and nasty attitude. Instead Stella hangs around Connor and the others mostly because her boyfriend Jack is in the group. She's definitley the meanest one in the crew, doing most of the insulting and self esteem crushing.
Voice: Stella has a soft raspy voice with a typical valley girl accent (not extreme though) Her voice is somewhat high pitched, almost annoyingly so but not ear piercing.

*Scoffs* If you're doing what I think you're doing, you better not! My dad didn't pay a lot of money on this outfit just for it to get trashed.
*Commanding* Do me this huge, massive, very grande favor and go stand somewhere else! Your face attached to those clothes does not look good standing next to me, so go waste space near a trashcan or something.
*Annoyed* Ugh, don't you dare give me that 'tude! It's exhausting enough being the most stunning girl in school on top of wasting every day trying to see what those losers are getting into! You boys seriously need less free time so I can have more ME time.
Personality: Liz Cooper is an eccentric woman, which makes her a perfect fit to be the school's art teacher. And also makes sense as to why GiGi is the way he is considering she is both his teacher and mother. She's very bubbly, kind, and loves a good (very bad) pun here and there. Liz loves her job and her students, and even encourages her son and the gang to do their usual shenanigans...much to the disapproval of her wife who is more strict and concerned for their son's future.
Voice: Carrying a country accent, Liz's voice is energetic and of medium high pitch with perkiness to her tone almost at all times. While yes her voice is kind of high, keep in mind she's around her late 30's so she shouldn't sound too young.

It was the 90s. Anything happened back then. *Giggles*

*Alarmed, but trying to remain calm* O-okaaay well...Huh, that is certainly uh, something you don't see about everyday but um, as a teacher we will figure this out but as a mother I am REALLY freaking out.
I'm looking for someone to make iconic music to match the world and overall tone of the series. Perhaps some acoustic/Indie music type of sound or even use of synth is what I am looking for. Drop your previous work or sample here and lemme hear those banging tunes!
