The Forge Lands
This project is created by Mint Studio.
The Forge Lands is a multimedia project, current plans include a novel, playable Minecraft server with RPG mechanics, and an animated series. It is set in a dark fantasy world, on the continent known to humankind as 'The Forge Lands'. We are a small group creating this as a passion project for fun, so any help is appreciated.
Voice acting roles that require more expertise will have some payment, but the workload and expected quality of the voicework is not high.
The series is an animated drama series inspired by the likes of Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. The Forge Lands takes a unique twist, making the progression of technology realistic, with the world on the cusp of an industrial revolution, despite being inhabited by surviving fantasy creatures.

This is a major role!
This character will be one of the major roles throughout the series. It won't be an overwhelming amount of work, episodes are short and dialogue is normally brief, but expect a decent number of lines. Scripts will be released in chunks, so it won't be all at once.
Kirith is the son of Jonas, and starts out at a young 18 year old farm boy who doesn't know much about the world beyond his home. Over the course of the story, he becomes a confident soldier with experience in the world, but is bitter and weary of the world. He is skeptical of the fantastical stories he hears, until he sees the things the Forge Lands are capable of himself.
Despite everything Kirith remains a kind soul who will stand up for others. He should have a young adult voice, but there can always be flexibility and interpretation. Any skill level is welcome.

*Angry / Yelling* The threat is real! I have seen men raise the dead! if you do not act now, you condemn your settlements to death!
This character is an older man who will be narrating a story to his son. His voice should be grave/serious while also seeming friendly at the same time. Any level of experience is welcome to play this character, and the performance doesn't have to be professional quality. This narration will serve as the introduction to the first episode and the world the series takes place in. There will be other extraneous lines after this narration scene. Discord is not required but appreciated.

Once every thirty years, the Fae, Vistirum, Mossarii, and forest Nymphs would convene to offer tribute to their goddess.
During the rebuilding process, a new threat emerged. The believed extinct Fondanians, historic enemies of the Vistirum, returned. Veathias led the united Fae, Vistirum, and Mossarii against them.
This once bountiful land would have faded away into history, simply dying tribes unable to sustain themselves, if it were not for the arrival of a new species. One that used ingenuity and could create mechanical wonders unlike anything found in the natural world. They arrived on ships, and gave the land its name…
This character is the younger brother of one of the protagonists. They are usually upbeat and happy, while also being inquisitive but a little dumb at times. The voice should sound younger and childlike, but it doesn't have to be perfect. This character will have a lower amount of lines throughout the series and won't require much work. Having discord is appreciated.

Animation is only half the battle!
To achieve a finished product, scenes need to be rendered, which could take hours or even days! We are looking for volunteers to export our scene files fully rendered. This allows us to see what a scene looks like finished so we can go back and make changed without having to delay work significantly. We will teach you how to export files from the animation software, Mineimator. We use Minimator because it allows for quick import and export of Minecraft assets, which is very useful since this is only a passion project for us, and we have limited time to work on the project.
To apply, write a description introducing yourself, and explain why you are interested in helping with the project. There is no prior animation knowledge or skill required for this. You are volunteering a part of your computers processing power.
