The End of The World Club
Project Overview
Hi! I’m tomotoad (or Tomo), an artist and solo indie developer from Spain, currently looking for voice actors for The End of the World Club: a cute coming-of-age BL visual novel about... doomsday :)
What would you do if the world were ending this year?
Or, more realistically: what if it wasn't, but pretending it might be felt easier than facing entrance exams, graduation, or the thought of never seeing the person you've been secretly pining after for over a year ever again?
It's April 2012, and Itsuki starts his final year of high school like any other: keeping a low profile and hiding his feelings for his classmate Ren.
But everything changes when Rika, an eccentric transfer student, announces that the world will end that December.
The full game will feature 100,000+ words, original music and art incluiding 30+ CGs, and text localizations in Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian.
The game itself will be free to play. The demo is already available on itch.io and Steam, and the remaining chapters are planned for release throughout 2027.

About compensation
This is an indie project being developed by a solo developer, so the voice acting budget is necessarily limited. However, all the main characters are paid lead roles. I'll provide a small, symbolic compensation to the main cast using funds raised through the project's Kickstarter campaign.
The exact amount will depend on the funds available, and I'll be transparent about the budget and compensation before any agreement is finalized.
Any potential future paid DLC featuring additional voice work will be compensated at a fair, industry-standard rate. This would not be part of the initial agreement for the main game.
However, I'd like to avoid recasting as much as possible, so I hope to work with actors who would be open to returning for future content.
About the auditions
Auditions will remain open until September 30, 2026.
As a BL story, the project naturally deals with queer characters, relationships, and representation. It's extremely important for me that actors are both comfortable and respectful when working with LGBTQ+ stories, characters and people.
To avoid potential complications with contracts and payment, I'd like to keep all main character roles 18+.

Voice Actor
Itsuki is the protagonist of The End of the World Club: a shy and somewhat reserved boy who is secretly in love with his classmate Ren.
Character Description:
A senior-year high school student with no grand ambitions. He tends to come off as cynical, but deep down he’s more of a romantic than he’d ever admit.
Voice Description:
I’m looking for a youthful, natural-sounding voice. Although Itsuki can come across as anxious or self-conscious in his inner monologue lines, his delivery should remain laid-back and understated rather than overly dramatic.
Pronunciation: ee-tsu-kee OH-noh (The "tsu" is very subtle and quick, so the name can sound closer to "its-kee")
Vocal Range: Medium–Medium High
Age: 17–18 during the main plot
This is a paid lead role.
I'd also like to ask that voice actors applying for this role be open to performing very light NSFW material involving the character as an adult for any potential future DLC. This would be entirely for continuity purposes and to avoid unnecessary recasts, and would not be part of the initial agreement or required for the main game.

Voice Actor
Ren is Itsuki’s mysterious classmate and painfully obvious crush, making him the only love interest in The End of the World Club.
Character Description:
Calm, composed, and a little hard to read, though he’s surprisingly honest, with a subtle playful side that only appears once he lets his guard down.
Voice Description:
I’m looking for a somewhat deeper voice than Itsuki’s, while still keeping it youthful and appropriate for his age. With a slightly deadpan delivery, Ren can often sound innocent or matter-of-fact, even when he’s just being playful. Please avoid the stereotypical "sexy" or overly smooth voice for this character.
One of the audition lines is a laugh. Ren's laugh is described in the script as nasal, duck-like, and notably quirky, so be creative with it!
Pronunciation: reh-n eye-zah-wah (I'd prefer the "r" sound to be closer to the Japanese pronunciation: a soft sound that falls somewhere between an "r" and an "l", rather than a typical English "r".)
Vocal Range: Medium–Medium Low
Age: 18–19 during the main plot

Voice Actor
Rika is the self-declared founder of the End of the World Club, and one of the four main characters of the story.
Character Description:
A cheerful transfer student. She chases excitement wherever it leads, pulling others out of their comfort zones along the way.
Voice Description:
I’m looking for a bright, enthusiastic, youthful voice with an expressive delivery. Rika’s energy should feel genuine and infectious rather than over-the-top, helping her fit naturally with the rest of the cast. The performance should also leave room for more serious moments later in the story without feeling like a completely different character.

Nao is Ren's responsible younger sister, and one of the four main characters in The End of the World Club.
Character Description:
Serious, mature, and responsible. As the Student Council president , she holds herself and others to high standards. Unfortunately, reality rarely cooperates with her plans.
Voice Description:
I’m looking for a youthful voice with a mature, composed, and slightly formal delivery. Despite her serious demeanor, Nao is probably the most expressive character of the bunch. She can get both easily flustered and frustrated, and I'd like her voice to reflect that.
Pronunciation: nah-oh eye-zah-wah
Vocal Range: Medium (For one particular scene, Nao will need to be performed with a more masculine/androgynous delivery. This is a temporary change in her presentation rather than her usual voice)

A very tired English teacher.
Voice Description:
I'm looking for a naturally low, dry, tired-sounding voice, with a laid-back and often sarcastic delivery.
Vocal Range: Medium Low-Low
Age: probably in his late 30s or early 40s
