Project Overview
Intro
Hello everyone we're back with another casting call for the collector series. For those who are new to the project, The Collector is an anthological podcast series which explores the themes of horror, myths and urban legends. So come and join us into the abyss as we descend into the depths of humanity's sins.

DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
The deadline for auditions is September 30th. We’ll notify the voice actors who have been cast in roles on the 30th depending on the number of auditions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We communicate primarily through Discord. If you are unfamiliar with this application, you can still audition, however, we strongly recommend participation through Discord so that you can collaborate with your fellow voice actors.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
First, have fun! We take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums to create something we’re proud of, but none of it means anything if the people involved aren't passionate about their craft.
Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics (no air conditioners in the background, no fans -- we don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). And speaking of clean-up -- please let us handle the post-production. Don't add effects to your lines -- leave that to us.
Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favourite takes. Three is the gold standard. We have a few voice actors that would rather give us more takes, and that's okay, too. However please at least remove the takes you don't want to be featured on the podcast.
Please keep in mind that when you audition for a role within The Collector series, we ask all VA's to meet specified deadlines so that we have time for re-edits if needed. We want to make sure that each episode properly showcases the talented work of that VA.
Episode synopsis
Charlie has been neglecting his responsibilities until he starts hearing voices that predict accidents before they occur. Desperate to silent the voices, Charlie must face the demons that haunt him.

Charlie has a hard time taking accountability for his actions. He would much rather retreat from life than having to deal with their problems. His introverted nature is contrasted to his extroverted friends, who help bring out his true personality when they are around.

(performing)
My brothers to bring a warrant for my death?
How strange this shows!
Louis has a fun, carefree attitude, who uses jokes and sarcasm both as a sword to cut through serious conversations. And a shield to protect himself.
Louis serves as the comic relief for Charlie's most depressing time in his life, but is still able to take matters seriously if the situation calls for it.
(Build up to punchline) Aight... I ain't no principle, but if that kinda backward logic is all it takes then sign me the hell up!
Eyy, don't worry yourself Hannah, my boy's a professional. He just needed a little R&R to get the creative juices flowing.
(Disappointed, hurt) Really? Your pride is SO important that you can't spend one hour rehearsing with her?
Stacy is a star actress. She has the ability to convey complex emotions with even the smallest of roles. She wears her emotions on her sleeve and is not afraid to speak her mind.
(passive aggressive) Why would I be offended? You only offered up the gift i gave to you right before that massive fight we had on stage.
(Let's out exasperated cough) Are you serious? First the musical number and now this?
The hour beckons us. The Guns-man waits; lift up your eyes to heaven.
Hannah is a whimsical assistant director. She believes life's stage and the world's play, as such she is always sounds like she is giving the performance of a lifetime. She is warm, bubbly, and over the top.
(Overzealous) Charlie! you finally made it. (starts clapping excitedly) Marvellous, simply marvellous (Giggles to herself)
(Pretending to whisper for a dramatic effect, but barely whispers at all) And that little incident that happened before your disappearance. Should we expect a similar rendition?
Nothing wrong with adding a little Pi-zzazz to make a performance your own! (Gleeful) Oohh! That reminds me. (Addressing Charlie) Do you still have that item?
Blair is a 3rd rate actor. He tries his best in performances, but his best is never good enough. Because of this he always gets side-lined to non acting roles, supressing his resentment each time. He is formal with authoritative figures because of his need for appraisal and secretly hopes that this dynamic will land him with a decent acting role.
(Treading lightly on subject) Miss Cooke. I get the idea of modernising the play... But why do we still have to speak in this archaic language?
But Miss Cooke. I have been working really hard on this.
(Performing) A villainous duns upon the letter! Knavish exposition! Look you then here sir: (pointing to letter) "we'll get thee out by a trick," says he.
Garnett believes they are an overqualified psychologist being forces to work as a high school counsellor. Garnett looks down on the students and believes themselves above the students and their position, using overly complex words and sentence structures that can be worded simpler. Any feelings of empathy or compassion is entirely due to their regard of professionalism when it comes down to psychoanalysing the students mental state.
So. (Places apple on the table) You're saying you are having visions
(Nonchalant, oblivious to Charlie's feelings) It's not my business to pry Mr. Hopkins. But with today's youth so eager to spread their daily lives across the internet... Word travels fast.
(Drops empathy, changes subject) Looking at your file it seems you have had a string of absences as of late. Would you care to elaborate?
Due to Charlie's consistently skipping school, his mother has taken on a stern role within the family. Although it may come across as mean an impatient, she believes that she is giving Charlie the push he needs to do well in school and take his rehearsals seriously.
(shouting) Charlie, sweetie are you up?
You have to get ready for school. You have a big performance coming up so you NEED to rehearse.
(short, stern) CHARLIE! Hurry up and get dressed.
Morgan is a shy introverted person who longs to be a successful performer. However due to their lack of presence, not only do they tend to be overshadowed by their peers, not many people in the play actually know or remember Morgan's name.
Psst. You're that kid from Oakhills right?
Were you there when the ambulance took that counsellor away?
My lord, those words were better chang'd to prayers. The time's but brief with you: prepare to die
The antagonist of the story. The Voice speaks in soft cryptic whispers to create a sense of unease and eeriness
(Whispering)
