The Clergymen: The Immortal Woman
Project Overview
Hello, this casting call is for The Clergymen "The Immortal Woman". This is a project that the Leeched Talent team worked on back in 2019 but because of personal reasons we had to drop the project and 2020 was everyone's dumpster fire. However, as 2020 raps up and we head into 2021 we want to restart our project and hit the ground running. The story of The Clergymen is set in an alternate twentieth century in which the world is divided into two factions: The Holy Sovereignty of the Imperial Church (H.S.I.C.) and the Eastern Confederation of Irreligious States (E.C.I.S.). There is one more twist however, every monster from every folklore is also thrown into the pot and haunts the region in which their myth originated. The Clergymen follows a small flock from H.S.I.C. who are haunting down a mysterious murder by the name of The Undertaker. As the group follows in his trail of devastation, they stop to help those along the way who are being hunted and haunted by monsters. Primarily the mythology our story draws upon is Slavic mythology but the first story, the Immortal Woman, focuses on a woman in Austria-Hungary who refuses to stay dead.
As we jump back into our project we need to start fresh as a majority of our voice actors, directors, and editors have moved on in our lengthy absence, and that's where we are hoping you can come in! We are looking for an eclectic range of voices for our first episode The Immortal Woman which comprises 13 twenty-minute scenes. Those cast in main roles may also be asked to voice additional lines and smaller roles not featured on CCC (i.g. an angry mob, characters who only appear in one scene. etc).
A majority of the roles are in the English language, and one role will also have to speak Latin. While the first episode takes place in Austria-Hungary a German/Austrian accent is not required but if you can provide it on it will go a long way. Voice actors must be comfortable with using the language/vernacular of the time (Eastern Europe circa 1900-1915). Voice actors must also be comfortable with several dark themes include gore, racism, sexism, and rape.
For main roles (and additional lines for minor roles and retakes), we're paying $50 for the whole project. We wish we could offer more but at the moment money is tight. For editors, we are willing to pay $10 a scene for a total of $130. This will include line placement, EQ, compressing, and normalization (this is not all that will be required of the editors, proficiency with audacity is all we ask). $10 an episode for producers for a total of $130 which will include choosing lines from the plethora V.A.'s will record, quality control of the editing, and more. All payments will be made through PayPal once the lines are recorded, the art is to our standards, the editing is to our standards, or for producers when the episodes are released.
We give full credit to our voice actors, directors, and editors verbally (a new practice we didn't have in our old episodes) in the credits after each episode, and on our website leechedtalent.com. The Bible is an extraordinary tool Elijah, but at the end of the day, it's just a tool. A saw is useless without a carpenter, a forge is dormant without a smith, and the Bible is just paper without God. Elijah, I promise you there are always answers to your questions, and when you have questions, turn to God first. Then seek conusel within the pages of the Bible or the words of a friend.
Because I know you, Alister. Nothing I said would have convinced you that you were wrong about Antionette. And we both know that the only mind that could change yours is your own. I just needed to wait until you were open to hearing the turth before you pushed yourself further away from it.

Soon the woman who made the bear a doll continues with the fox, and once again offers him her mask. The fox accepts without hesitation, despite his fingers still soiled with the bear's blood. As the fox slipped on the doll mask, he found the same fate awaiting him. The ram found him and bleated to the others until they complied and killed the fox. The woman continued with her trend, turning a rabbit, a crocodile, a falcon, a panther, a wolf, a steer, and a snake each into a doll. Each animal crumpled before the ram and its flock. Finally, as the last mask fell to the floor, everyone in the hall vanished. The music of the waltz continued to eerily play over the sea of masquerade masks which now littered the crimson floor.
Taube yanks the gun from her grasp and drops to a knee. With a thud, he slams the barrel against the side of the bar and pulls the trigger. BANG! The bullet splinters through the wood grazing across the top of Herodias' right shoulder. Quietly wincing at the pain, Herodias lays herself flat against the floor. Taube pulls back the bolt of the rifle; the empty shell rings as it bounces on the floor. BANG! Another bullet flies through the wood. With each powerful impact of the bullet into the wood, the wine glass skips closer and closer to the lip of the bar; now it teeters precariously rocking back and forth. BANG! The bullet cracks through the bar and the glass shatters against the greasy bar floor. Herodias crawls to the end of the bar, taking the largest glass shard with her.
The deafening blare of the train's horn spread throughout the Ulm Hauptbahnhof. A clock's chime called out through the chaos and compelled by its ring; the dotted gatherings across the platforms collected their belongings, and families fought against the ebb of the crowd to bid a final goodbye to their loved ones.

I know it's pointless to ask, it's my job to die after all, but I guess I'm not as strong as everyone thinks. You know if you had made it quick and painless we wouldn't be in this awkward situation. But no, you had to give me one last fuck you, didn't you?
[lying] This morning when I left for the Ulm Hauptbahnhof, the clerk told me my ticket was for last night, not this morning. I told Rousseau to double-check the time on the ticket, and he gave me his word it was for this morning. So, there I am at the station pleading with the clerk to let me on the train to Vienna, which was to leave within the hour, but no amount of honied words would budge this crone. I had to rush to the post to send a telegram ahead letting the Duchess know of Rousseau's blunder. Fortunately for me, she was kind enough to reschedule me for the day after next.

The truth of it all is you fucked up Herodias. The reason behind it don't matter all that much now, does it? I understand why you go about it, and I reckon if I were you I'd be doing the same thing. Regardless, you can't wade through bars all day Herodias, you got responsibilities. I'm sure Eli will tell you when he talks your ear off, but your little mistake here might have killed some folks we could have saved otherwise. We'll have to wait a week or so before heading off to what remains of Frysztak and from there follow the trail of devastation and loss in the Undertaker's wake until by the grace of God we manage to catch up with the son of a bitch.
She weren't in her room. And the clerk at the hotel said she ain't never checked out. I poked my nose into the hotel bar and the other local taverns within two and a half blocks before I had to head back, and I ain't found nothing. Best lead I got was from the bartender at Sevelinger's, said a woman matching Herodias' description left the bar with some Fredia Schüler. Didn't get much time to start looking into her. Don't reckon it would take me much longer to track her down but with the departure of our train and all.

I'll tell you all about her perspective Ezra. She stalks around the watering hole watching the gazelle as they prance about. She patiently lurks in shadowy corners, drinking away at whatever liquor she can pour down her gullet or fills her lungs with that abhorrent smoke. And when one of the herd unwittingly makes the mistake of straying too far from rest, she begins her ruse. Slowly over time, she lures her prey further away from the herd until the gazelle is deceived and no longer sees her like a lioness trying to satisfy its hunger and instead sees her as one of the herd; another gazelle. And when the gazelle takes her back to their den they find only her open maw waiting to devour them whole.
We found this in the neck of all the Antionette's at the graveyard! I'm so close to figuring out what is going on here Ezra! The answers are in my books upstairs, I just need a few hours alone with them, and then our little mystery will be solved.
Well it's simple, isn't it? When something good happens to you, that must be the Lord rewarding you. But when you're a devote good little Christian boy whose dedicated every second of his waking life to the Lord and misfortune still falls upon you; well now that must be the Devil, or God testing your faith. I admit it would be nice if there were some semblance of divine justice in this world, but unfortunately Elijah that's just not the way life goes. There's nothing more to it than that.

Need to be proficient with Audacity. Will need to do basic EQ and Compression as well as other basic skills. The position also includes Line Placement, wherein you place the lines in the order in which they appear in the script into one sound file.

Will be in charge of the quality of the lines being recorded by the voice actors, and the editing done by the Audio Engineer. In addition, the Producer will also choose from the plethora of lines that the V.A.'s record and chose the best take to give to the Audio Engineer.
