Hello, my name is Abby and I'm the director of this animation called "The Blood Star". The main direction I want this to turn towards is a shonen/shojo anime series. This project will be long-term, so before you audition, please be aware that this is a project you need to be committed to. That especially goes for main characters and producers that are casted. I know it seems a bit unfair, since you will not be paid for this at the start, BUT, if things turn out successful, payments towards characters and producers can be a high chance. I'm not some big anime production company, so this will be released onto YouTube. I really hope that somehow this series can take off and get somewhere just as anime series like RWBY did, and the people reading this will take it as seriously as I do. Now, let's begin to the juicier stuff!
**DESCRIPTION**
The land of Onga had been restricted from the outside world for thousands of years. In the beginning of the new century, outside forces had attempted to retaliate against Onga's isolation, but had been met with the power of the vicious Ongians. Eventually, the attacks fell to an end. Onga citizens believed they feared the Ongians, or disease had wiped out the rest of Earth's population. It had been nearly 3000 years since the last contact with outsiders, but they liked it that way. The Ongian's had a secret to hide, something that if the outsiders discovered... they would be wiped out in fear for the human race.
The Blood Star appears every 75 years in the Western wing of Onga for a singular night. Children born underneath The Blood Star's light are granted powers. Most people blessed with abilities, whom called Wielders, join groups to protect regular Onga citizens from monsters and Wielders turned evil. Others, however, hide in the darkness of their homes, cursed with the ability of unimaginable things.
Akayomi Tonako had been apprenticed to a senior Wielder ever since she was a child. She has no remembrance of her parents, except an elegant woman with bright yellow hair. When heading back home from the city one night, she encounters a Wielder group struggling to battle a powerful Nightfreak. Tonako saves the group, and is asked to join.
Now, she must leave her village to travel the lands of Onga to protect the home she has only ever known, all while trying to discover the truth about her biological family.
But what happens when an evil Wielder organization threatens everything she was told? Now Tonako is thrust into a new light, and is the only one who can save Onga and even the entire Earth from possible extinction.
Disclaimer: There is a lot more to the plot than that, but casted members will be enlightened with all the details.
**RULES FOR AUDITIONS**
1. You must have a MINIMUM of 2 takes per line and a MAXIMUM of 4 takes per line.
2. You must state how old you are and something you would like us to know before auditioning your lines.
3. You can audition for more than 1 role, but you can only have 1 upload per role. If you have 2 uploads on 1 role, the latest upload will be reviewed.
4. You must have a good microphone! Little to no static, no background noise, or anything of the matter. Bad mics will not be casted, no matter the ability of your voice acting.
5. Be ready to submit your lines on deadline dates. If you cannot do this, consider not auditioning.
6. You must have discord! Scripts, announcements, and general discussion will all be on discord.
The current deadline date for auditions is 2019-08-15, but can be extended depending on how many people audition.
