That Hotel Show
Project Overview
Hey! I'm currently working on an indie animated series called That Hotel Show, alongside my brother, who will be handling the animation.
The show follows Jamie, a human who gets a job at a hotel without realising it's designed for monsters. He has to deal with the staff, the guests, and whatever weird stuff happens around the hotel.
We're looking for voice actors for several characters, as well as a narrator for promotional videos and hotel adverts. Some roles are bigger than others, and a few characters have some pretty unusual ways of communicating.
This is a passion project, and we're still in the early stages of development, so we're a small team figuring things out as we go.
Payment: These roles are deferred profit share, meaning there's no upfront payment. Any payment depends on the project making a profit, and the terms will be agreed on in writing before work begins. I want to be upfront about this so everyone knows what they're signing up for.
If you're interested, check out the roles and send in an audition! We'd love to hear what you can do.
Thanks for checking out the project!
A narrator for That Hotel Show promotional videos, hotel advertisements, character introductions and trailers. We need someone with a clear, professional voice and good comedic timing. This is an ongoing role, and we'd need you to return for future promotional videos and potentially new episodes as the series develops. This is not a lead role.

This is the PreTrop hotel! The best hotel in... wherever we are...
No matter who you are, the PreTrop hotel has a room for you!
Book your stay today! The PreTrop Hotel: you'll never want to leave.
Jamie is a human who starts working at a hotel built for monsters. We're looking for a natural, expressive voice that can handle confusion, frustration and comedy. This is a recurring main role, and we'd need you to return to record dialogue for future episodes.

Uh… yeah, hi. Why are you wearing a costume?
All monsters are scary... not even the cute ones. I just know they're up to something evil...
In a hotel full of weird monsters... I am an insane human...
Naz is the hotel's extremely chill human bartender. Almost nothing surprises her, and she rarely seems particularly bothered by the chaos around her. We're looking for a relaxed, deadpan delivery. This is a recurring role, and we'd need you to return for future episodes.

Yeah, the lift does that sometimes. I'd use the stairs, but they bite.
Oh, don't worry about that noise. It usually stops after a few minutes.
You look stressed. Want a drink? Actually, never mind. You look like you need three.
Patricia is the monster manager of the PreTrop Hotel. She's responsible for keeping the staff organised and the hotel running, despite the chaos surrounding her. She can be professional and composed, but when pushed too far, she becomes genuinely intimidating. This is a recurring role for future episodes (if made).

Now, I want everyone to remain calm. We are professionals... we are a team.
Jamie, I hired you because I believed you had potential. I'm beginning to regret that decision.
I said I want EVERYONE OUT! ...Please close the door on your way out.
Milton is a monster who works as the hotel's cleaner. He's a mysterious character who is initially kept hidden from the audience. His presence and behaviour should feel distinctive without revealing too much too early. This would be a recurring role if more episodes were made.

Hmm. That's a new stain. ...Actually, no, I've seen that one before.
All clean! Well... clean enough. Let's not inspect it too closely.
So, for the 50th time everyone. Stop telling people they can leave scales in their room for me to clean.
Deb is the monster receptionist at the PreTrop Hotel. She's supposed to handle guests and manage reception, but she frequently gets distracted by other things. She is overly energetic, getting excited by the simplest of things. This is a recurring role that would return if we make multiple episodes.

Do you have a reservation? You know what? Just have this room.
Hello there! Isn't today a wonderful day?
Naz! Can you get me a drink? Something... colourful.
Gibblets are small creatures who work as chefs in the hotel's restaurant. They always move around in groups and tend to hang out with Naz during their breaks. Since Naz is so chill, they're pretty relaxed around her, too. They communicate through little silly noises rather than words. This is a small recurring role.

Make a happy little noise as a Gibblet greets Naz during a break.
Make a few Gibblets argue with each other using only silly noises.
Make a group of Gibblets react in excitement to something happening in the restaurant.
