Project Overview

Welcome to the Superman & Bugs Bunny Comic Dub Casting Call! As someone who is a big fan of the Looney Tunes and superhero stories in general, I thought this comic series had a great potential to become a comic dub project and have several voice actors with different voice skills working together! 


Superman & Bugs Bunny was a 4-issue mini-series that ran from July to October of 2000. It is the first official crossover between the Justice League and Looney Tunes.


I will be voicing Porky Pig, Marvin the Martian, Speedy Gonzales and Pepe Le Pew in this project, but there are still loads of other Looney Tunes and DC characters which will be needing voices for!


RULES FOR CASTING: 

-Send the audio in either WAV or MP3 format.

-Have a decent microphone with little to no echo or background noise. Try to avoid any peaking in your audio as well. 

-Make sure to follow the lines requested and to do at least two takes for each line. 

-There will be a Discord group for most of our communication, so make sure to put your Discord username in your audition. Email and Casting Call DM can be two other options if needed, but Discord is better for networking and meeting new people! :D

-You can audition for as many roles as you want. 

-All of the characters present in this comic will return for some of the 3 other issues, so please make sure to you can commit in voicing these characters again. 

-If you are not casted here, be patient as there will be another wave of characters down the line for the next 3 issues. ;)

  • Casting Update

    Thank you once again for applying for this project! Now that the deadline is finally over, I've already decided who I will be casting for each role and I will select the actors in the website later on today. If you are not casted, don't worry, because there will be two more waves of characters for the next 3 issues in the series and you will have the chance to audition for them!   • Last Minute Help

    Hello everyone! First of all, I would like to thank everyone for making this project reach over 100 auditions! I've been really happy with the majority of the auditions so far and I can't wait for us to start it once the deadline is over.

    But with that said, I still need more female voice actors to audition for Lois Lane and for the Extras role. Those are minor roles, but they're still important nonetheless. So if anyone could please share this project to more people to see if he can fill those roles then that would be much appreciated!

Mr Mxyzptlk is an imp from the Fifth Dimension who possesses reality-warping powers and enjoys tormenting Superman. In most of Mxyzptlk's appearances in DC Comics, he can be stopped only by tricking him into saying or spelling his own name backwards (Kltpzyxm), which will return him to his home in the Fifth Dimension and keep him there for a minimum of 90 days. 


NAME PRONUNCIATION: Mxyzptlk (Mix-yez-spit-lick) and Kltpzyxm (kill-tip-seasom)

Yoyo Dodo, better known as simply The Dodo, is a wacky bird first seen in the 1938 Looney Tunes short Porky in Wackyland. In the short, Porky Pig travels to Wackyland in search of this creature, believed to be the last of the seemingly-extinct dodo bird. As Porky soon discovers, the Dodo is a very formidable adversary who plays several tricks on him by messing around with the scenery.


I’m looking for someone who can do the closest to his original voice in the Porky in Wackyland cartoon. But I wouldn’t mind a new take for him since he didn’t have that many lines in the cartoon anyway.

His physical prowess, technical ingenuity, and tactical thinking make him an incredibly dangerous opponent. He is also a founding member of the Justice League.

Elmer Fudd is one of the Looney Tunes' main recurring villains. His aim is to hunt Bugs, but he usually ends up seriously injuring himself. He speaks in an unusual way (rhotacism), replacing his R's and L's with W's, so "Watch the road, Rabbit," becomes "Watch da woad, wabbit!" Elmer's signature catchphrase is, "Be vewy vewy quiet, I'm hunting wabbits", as well as his trademark gloat, "huh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh."

Foghorn is a large, anthropomorphic adult rooster with a red head, long red tailfeathers, and yellow talons with short yellow claws. He has a Virginian accent, a "good ol' boy" speaking style, and a penchant for mischief. He has a knack of saying, "I say" as a form of interjection in his speech. Many of the gimmicks involve Foghorn and Barnyard Dawg engaging in one-upmanship through a series of pranks.

Yosemite Sam is one of Bugs' toughest antagonists. Yosemite Sam is a more violent character than Bugs' most famous antagonist Elmer Fudd, given that Sam has a tougher accent, a higher fierce voice, and a more violent spirit.  Despite his aggressive and hot-tempered nature, he doesn't prove much brighter than Elmer in his encounters with Bugs. Sam's own cockiness gets the best of him, portraying him as a bumbling idiot, and Bugs can see he is incapable of turning down a challenge.
