🎤 ABOUT Studio: OUR STAGE

Studio: Our Stage is a volunteer-run voice acting studio aiming to voice over the main and event episodes of the video game Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage (Project Sekai) with other similar smaller projects such as voicing over the official comic anthology, in-game 4komas + area conversations and more!

* Please be aware that we are currently conducting casting waves with the characters that appear by each group/unit in the video game. This casting wave is only for the roles of characters that appear in More More Jump's Main Story + extras/sides.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Voicing over main & event stories, (mostly, unless we decide we want to derive from it due to any inconsistencies found from the Japanese-to-English translation) scripted from the global translation of the game and fanmade comics with several issues/are part of a series. (If accepted and agreed upon! Voicing over comics will always be proposed to VA Talent first.)

AUDITIONER REQUIREMENTS

AVAILABILITY AND DEADLINES

If you are cast, we will expect you to meet the deadlines and communicate well, especially regarding your availability.

Deadlines will vary on how many lines you have in the script. For example, if you are cast as a minor role, you would have a shorter deadline to record than if you were cast as a lead who would have significantly more lines.

You'll always be allowed and even expected to take a break, or go on a hiatus! Our directors try to be as flexible as possible, but if you are cast, you'll be expected to let us know in advance and notify us if there are any delays in recording or aren't interested anymore so we can recast as soon as possible to prevent delays in the project.

AUDIO QUALITY

While we highly prefer auditioners to record with USB mics, we are willing to accept phone & webcam mics. However, all auditioners must have decent audio quality with little to no background noise and absolutely no vocal effects applied that may alter your voice.

ANTI-AI

Submitting auditions that rely on any type of AI (ie: voice cloning, text-to-speech generators meant to sound like specific characters, voice filters) is the fastest way to have your submission disregarded and instantly disqualified from working with our studio on future projects.

RETAKES

Please be willing to record retakes when requested. This includes adjusting your delivery, altering your pacing, or rerecording lines based on director feedback to better fit the final mix.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY

Because this project relies on voicing over the main and event episodes in English, all auditioners must must possess a minimum of Intermediate (CEFR B1) English language proficiency and comprehension to be considered. While native-speaker fluency is not required, you must be able to understand directional cues and feedback from our team.

LATE RESIGNATION & UNPROFESSIONALISM

If you accept a role, you must make consistent progress and inform unavailability. Not doing any work without communicating that you're unavailable and resigning late will result in a disqualification from any future projects with our studio for unprofessional behavior.

PLAGIARISM

Only ever submit what you have recorded yourself. Submitting someone else's audio file to pass off as your own is strictly prohibited, and any form of audio theft or plagiarism will result in an immediate disqualification.

COMMUNICATION

Please remain active on either your discord account or an email contact for reliable communication for all project updates, script distribution, and cast discussions. Please do not audition for if you have unreliable or sporadic activity!

PLEASE RECORD IN AABBCC FORMAT

Auditioners must record their auditions for this casting call in AABBCC format to be considered by our casting team.

For those unfamiliar with AABBCC format, it simply means our casting directors would like you to record at least two takes for Line A, Line B, Line C, in that exact order.

CALLBACKS AND CONTACT METHODS

All auditioners must provide either a Discord or an Email as a contact method when applying for this position, preferably whichever method is the easiest to contact you with. The only exclusion to this requirement is if your submission is a response to one of our directors contacting you for a callback. You are also welcome to participate if you already submitted a previous audition that was not selected in our past casting call.

A majority of our team is on Discord and we mainly operate and distribute the script materials for this fandub on our private Discord Server, so providing a Discord contact will be advantageous to our team.

Our team is pretty flexible if you've hit the server limit, do not use, or cannot use Discord. We can contact you via Email, but only if you provide it in your audition or submit it to us privately.

IMPORTANT: Auditions submitted without an Email or Discord contact will not be considered as our casting directors won't be able to contact you further.
