Stories of Skyrim: A Skyrim Followers Mod
Project Overview
This project aims to bring many new, in depth NPCs to Skyrim. The Vanilla NPCs have very little depth, and this is especially evident with the followers and marriage candidates. This mod looks to revamp this by adding more than 20 new and unique characters to the game. This mod will also add new children NPCs, so young voices will also be needed as well.

The Nords have varied degrees of accents, but all of them are Scandinavian in nature.
Male: I used to hear stories about the vampires when I was a just a boy. I never believed 'em til that night I saw one with my own eyes. Like death staring you in the face. Cold. Sickly. Never gotten over the feeling, that look in its eyes.
Female: My father was the one who taught me to hunt. The roll of the foot. The quick and quiet draw of the bow. We used to go out for days at a time, silent shadows stalking our prey. Now that was the life.
The Imperial has a clear, American Accent. Not necessarily militaristic, but a firm voice.
Male: Sure, it's a dangerous business going out there, not knowing if you're going to make it back. But it's all I know. All I've ever known.
Female: I believe the Divines are always watching: Guiding us. Influencing us. Moving all of us toward a goal. It's up to us to find what that goal is.
The Breton has a very slight French accent. If you cannot comfortably do one, feel free to forgo the accent.
Male: Do you know anything about the Hist Trees of the Black Marsh? I've been looking into using its sap for alchemical purposes, but the nature of the trees themselves is very guarded.
Female: Sure, I know a little Alteration, but my speciality is Destruction. You don't have to bother with protecting yourself from enemies if you... dispatch them.
The Redguard has a few different variations, but generally African American in nature.
Male: Aye, Kasen is the name: Dashing rogue, expert of the blade, and charmer of barmaids everywhere. At your service.
Female: I've done heists others before me said were impossible. I've picked items they said could never be lifted. Who do you think you are to take such an critical job like this?
The Orc sounds gruff, worn, and deep. They are a battle worn people, and their voice should show that.
Male: What do you want? Yes, I'm an Orc. Yes, I'm a scholar. What, that really can't be the strangest thing thing you've ever seen.
Female: I've been fighting those Dwarven machines for 10 years, seeking riches and treasures in their underground cities. And what does it show for? A couple of centurion cores and a crystal shard. Hmph.
The Dark elves have a very distinct voice. Every word is calculated. Weighed and thought before spoken.
The men have a deep raspy tone. This voice is very akin to how one throat sings. If you need reference, listen to Jeff Baker do his.
The female has a light British accent, but not necessarily kind. They are the embodiment of wisdom, but sould not sound arrogant.
Male: When you look at me, Outlander, what do you see? A grayskin? An elf? Or a true brother of the Guild? That choice is yours.
Female: Let me take a look at wound. Yes, that last bout did take its toll. Would you like me to close some of those? I know a thing or two about Restoration, if you'd like some help.
The High Elf has a rich British accent. A slight bit of arrogance may slip through
Male: I've been looking through these texts here, and they speak of one who will unite the great houses again. It's a prophecy. And I think you might be fulfilling it.
Female: I know this place well: my family used to live just down the way. My father would take me and my brother on his knee and tell us stories of far away lands. It's hard, now that they're gone.
A light, somewhat soft voice. A bit of nasally flair wouldn't hurt either.
Male: I don't like fighting. There's enough of that to go around plenty. But if there are people out there who want to destroy our way of life, shouldn't we do something about it?
Female: I don't trust magic. Never have. It's not....natural....being able to do the things mages can. Too easy to get a taste for power. And they never stop at just a taste.
Being lizardfolk, they sound somewhat snake like in their speech. A raspy tone that sounds somewhat strained.
Male: I could never thank you enough for what you've done for me and my kin. It's been so long since I've felt the sun. It's warmth. I have no money to repay this debt to you. What I do have, is my blade.
Female: The harsh sand and ash of Morrowind are hard on the skin, but nothing like Skyrim. So cold, my people can hardly survive.
These catfolk are very fun and unique. They speak with almost an Arabian accent, slightly Spanish. They roll the "r" and a French "j". Low, smoky tones.
Male: This one has seen many things, but never has this one seen a talking crab. Why does it speak? Or how?
Female: This one knows not to trifle with wizards. Quick to speak, and quicker to light this one's fur on fire. Many say cats fear water, but catching fire makes this one forget that fear quickly.
All of the races require Children counterparts. If you would, please tag which race you are auditioning for when you submit your audio sample. Thank you.
Male: You look like an adventurer. Are you? Can you tell me about the places you've been? The monsters you've fought?
Female: My mother doesn't like it when I speak to strangers, but you seem nice. Where are you headed?
