Star Wars : Project Resurgence

About Us

Hello! I am Logan from Eternity Studios. Eternity Studios is a YouTube channel that focuses primarily on GTA 5 machinimas, but we hope to move towards the Unreal Engine for future movies. One of the things that inspired me to create my YouTube channel was to create videos on an online MMO RPG called "Clone Wars Adventures." I grew up watch Star Wars as well, one of the first movies I remember ever watching was the Clone Wars movie in 2008, and from there, I fell in love.

What Is Project Resurgence?

Project Resurgence's goal is to form and put together a group of remarkable people to create amazing stories set in the Star Wars universe for viewers and fans to love and enjoy. Love or Hate some of the new Star Wars sequel movies, they do seem fabricated or engineered to make the most amount of money, they don't have that love and passion that George Lucas's original movies had (including other projects he was involved in such as The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian). Project Resurgence's goal is to bring back that love and passion in storytelling that Star Wars is missing. Although the production of many of these projects won't begin just yet, I would like to start at the drawing board and already start to plan these series. I think a perfect example (whether you hate to sequels or not) is to look at the sequels and see that there seems to be no real planning involved whatsoever. We will be planning many different series, mainly set in a sort of Elseworlds storyline, such as What If series.

What Different Movies/Series Do You Have Planned?

I have a few ideas for different movies and series we can start planning. (Note: These titles are not final, nor have they been entirely and wholly explored).

1. Maul's Conquest: This project will see about a 10-12 episode run (give or take) each about 20-40 minutes long set during The Clone Wars when Maul captures the throne of Mandalore. Instead of trying to lead Kenobi to Mandalore to make him suffer and kill him, he continues his siege amongst the neutral systems and outer rim. Maul's power and domination will become so large that Palpatine has no choice but to call a cease-fire and the Republic and Separatists temporarily joining forces to stop Maul. 

2. Sequel Trilogy Rewrite: This project will have the obviously 3 episodes that are around 2-3 hours of length. They will be feature film length and will see a rewrite of the sequel trilogy. I do enjoy to characters introduced in the Force Awakens as well as some story elements introduced. Still, I do want to rewrite them in a way that they honor the episodes that have come before and keep true to Anakin's sacrifice for his son, Luke, killing Palpatine, and bringing balance to the force. I also want to stay true to some of the events that do happen post Return of the Jedi, such as the Battle of Jakku. But, to continue another trilogy, I wanted an even more significant threat then Palpatine and, in the end, unite the galaxy as a whole. By the end of Return of the Jedi, all Anakin and Luke have done was brought balance to the force, but the galaxy was by far not united. Remnants of the Empire remained, and the war continued between the New Republic and the Empire. I wanted an event that would cause the galaxy to unite and fight against a common threat. And so, I was thinking of having the Son from the Mortis Gods arc in The Clone Wars return (as you remember, he was only killed by a lightsaber where the Father and the Daughter were killed by the Dagger of Mortis). The rest of this Sequel discussion can continue later once you are cast.

What Do I Need To Join Project Resurgence?

You will need several things to join this project. For one, you need to have the knowledge of the current Star Wars canon (from the movies to the tv shows such as Clone Wars and Rebels, I'm not going to count Resistance). 

You also need discord, that is where we will mainly be communication. You also need a decent sounding microphone as we will have conferences to discuss the projects and stories.

Finally, you will need google, such as google docs and google drive. That is where we will be compiling outlines, story ideas, saving and sharing different documents with each other, as well as scriptwriting.
