Star Wars Legends: An Audio Drama Series -- Episodes #7-17

Project Overview

What exactly is this project?


I wanted to make something new and different. I'm sure many of you can recall the old Star Wars: Radio Show,  which came on the radio, and was essentially a telling of the film without the visuals. I wanted to make an AudioBook without the book, so that the listener could just curl up on the couch, or in bed and just let their imagination guide them. It's what a lot of us did, especially as kids. It is what made Star Wars so fun. So, we want this to be as immersive as possible, with soundtrack, sound effects and of course, amazing and talented voice actors!

So far we have had 6 amazing episodes with some amazing cast members, and would like to expand the story even further for the rest of the season!

We want this to be something you can listen to at breakfast, lunch, dinner or before bed. Something you can listen to on the go, or at home.


Currently most characters like Revan, Alek/Malak, Cassus Fett etc have been taken, but many new and big roles such as Meetra Surik and Mandalore the Ultimate are being added to this call!

-This series takes place during the time of the Neo-Crusader movment and the time of Mandalore the Ultimate, years before the events of KOTOR, while the last two episodes (16&17) have been planned as "epilogue" episodes at the end of the Mandalorian Wars.

 

Anyone who Auditions for a role is bound to that role for the entirety of that character's involvement in the series.


MULTIPLE AUDITIONS ARE ENCOURAGED :)


We are looking to complete and release EP 7 before June 1st and release it on Youtube, Mixlr, iTunes and other Podcast sites!

Ever since I played the acclaimed, Knights of the Old Republic, I have been fascinated with Darth Revan's past. It certainly is an interesting one that has not been explored in depth, even by the fans.


You must have:


-Skype or Discord for recording sessions as well as to keep in contact.


- A decent microphone like a Snowball Studio (Black or better is needed. Anything less will hinder the overall quality of the episodes), Blue Yeti or any high end condenser microphones. Please be aware of the plosives in your audition as well.


-Be flexible with recording days. Most likely they will just be whenever everyone who is needed is open, so contact me and we for sure will work together a time that works best for the both of us :)

Mandalore the Ultimate, or Te Ani'la Mand'alor in Mando'a, led the Mandalorians during the Mandalorian Wars. One of the last Taung to claim the Mandalore title, and known to some as the Great Shadow Father, he regrouped the Mandalorian forces into the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders and slowly began to conquer fringe worlds that had been left defenseless in the wake of the Great Sith War. Mandalore took full advantage of the Galactic Republic's halfhearted efforts to oppose his aggression and personally led his forces as they invaded Republic territory. Under his command, the Neo-Crusaders nearly defeated the Republic during the Mandalorian Wars, and it was only through the leadership of the Jedi Knights Revan and Malak that the tide of the war was ultimately turned against Mandalore. Revan killed Mandalore in hand-to-hand combat near the end of the war.

  • If this is not taken care of Commander, there will be--consequences. We cannot have mere children spreading word of our soon invasion of the Republic.

  • Magnificent, isn't it? This is warfare in its most purest of forms, a battle fought by warriors who's hatred for one another has cleansed their minds of lesser passions and focused all their energies to a single, undeniable urge. The urge to destroy each other.

  • There is much honor to be found in such a battle, and to a Mandalorian, honor is what drives us, honor is what feeds our existence with purpose and meaning. To a Mandalorian, honor is, and always has been... everything.

THIS IS IMPORTANT -- Look up The Sith Emperor's Voice on YouTube. We are trying to get as close to his voice as possible, including the dark reverb in his voice. 

Tenebrae—known to the Old Sith Empire as Vitiate, his reconstituted Sith Empire as the Sith Emperor, and his Eternal Empireas Valkorion—was an ancient dark side entity of enormous powerwho manipulated galactic affairs for 1,500 years.  

Shedding his identity as Lord Vitiate, the self-proclaimed Sith Emperor led the scattered Sith survivors on a twenty-year odyssey into the Unknown Regions where they established a new Sith Empire on the lost world of Dromund Kaas. The Emperor delved deep into the mysteries of the dark side as his people expanded the Empire's domain over the next thousand years. However, growing dissatisfaction with the Sith ideology led the Emperor to investigate and discover the hidden planet of Zakuul and the Eternal Fleet—an ancient armada with unprecedented technological capabilities. The Emperor transferred his essence into a Zakuulan warrior named Valkorion and built up a vast civilization known as the Eternal Empire. The Emperor desired total immortality to fully experience his new creation and expand it across galaxies without the threat of being killed. To achieve this, the Emperor would initiate a war between his Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. The deaths caused by the conflict would serve as fuel to initiate a new ritual far more potent than that on Nathema—a ritual that would allow the Emperor to consume almost everything in the galaxy and become an all-powerful god.   

As the Emperor's plans neared completion, he manipulated the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders into attacking the Republic as a preliminary test invasion. The Mandalorians were defeated due to the efforts of two powerful Jedi Knights—Revan and Malak—who tracked down and discovered the Sith Empire on Dromund Kaas. The two confronted the Emperor, but their minds were dominated into becoming vanguards of his Sith invasion. However, Revan and Malak soon broke free from the Emperor's mind control and betrayed him—and each other—in the resultant Jedi Civil War that nearly destroyed the Jedi Order.

Yarri was a female Pureblood Sith captain of the Imperial Guard on the Imperial capital of Dromund Kaas in direct service of the Sith Emperor of the Sith Empire. She was the guard that pretended to defect in order to aid Revan and Malak in killing the Emperor, but really deceived them, leading the pair to become servants of the Sith Emperor. She was the leader of the Purge of the Dark Council in 3950 BBY. She then dueled the Sith Lord Scourge when the latter, along with Revan and Meetra Surik, attempted to assassinate the Emperor; Scourge slashed her right hip, crushed her right hand with his foot, and beheaded her.

Jedi Master Drall Charus is an original character. He is the Jedi that found Alek (Future Darth Malak) getting picked on as a teenager on the streets of a Republic World after fleeing from the Mandalorians. Drall is a kind but stern master to Alek, and attempts to teach him in the ways of the Force to become a Jedi Knight one day. Drall has served with the Jedi for over 30 years including during the Great Sith War.

  • You are strong in the Force, my young friend. Come with me, I'll take you somewhere safe. This place is too dangerous.

Meetra Surik, also known as the Jedi Exile after the Mandalorian Wars, was a Human female Jedi Master. As a Padawan, she chose to disobey the orders of the Jedi High Council and aid the Galactic Republic in its war against the invading Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. Rising to the rank of Jedi Knight during the conflict, she served with distinction under the command of her fellow Crusaders Revan and Malak and was eventually commissioned as a General in the Republic Military. Surik played a vital role in defeating the Mandalorians during the latter stages of the conflict, but as a direct result of her controversial actions during the cataclysmic final battle, she effectively cut her connection to the Force. Afterwards, out of all those who went to war, she was the only Jedi to avoid the call of the dark side and return to the Jedi Council to be judged for her crimes. After being exiled from the Jedi Order, she wandered the periphery of known space for nearly a decade before returning to the Republic during the Dark Wars, at the height of the First Jedi Purge.

The Jedi Order's Padawans make up a large portion of the Order, ranging from children to teenagers. Padawans are learners and one step below Knighthood. Alek and Revan trained with other Padawans on Coruscaunt and Dantooine.
