There are already 5 chapters available to play for this game that need to be voiced, so when the casting is finalized, we will be able to immediately provide scripts.
We are a small team of indie developers and there are currently two of us working on the game, along with someone helping us with marketing. Because we have such a small team, the amount being offered for this project is the best we can provide at this moment. We will require small voice clips that will play during the majority of the dialogue throughout the game. Every character will need to have these recorded shortly after they are casted and you will be paid 100 dollars upon completion of the lines. In addition, there will be a few fully voiced scenes per chapter for whatever certain characters happen to be relevant for that chapter. Actors will be paid 100 dollars for each chapter that they are required to record additional lines for. Generally, we would like to stick to a couple month turn-around at the latest for line submissions.
Game Synopsis:
Friendly Facade is a visual novel with point and click and strategy mini-games incorporated into key story moments to immerse the player in the experience. The game explores how each character's background and strongly held ideals inform their personality, decision-making, and strategy in tense situations. Every character has their own goals and motivations, and they form a web of interpersonal relationships that intersect and collide with each other to form a rich, nuanced story where not everyone is able to get a happy ending. Inside the peaceful confines of the Isolated Society Study, competition, manipulation, and betrayal run rampant, and this is before the Golding Foundation intervenes, changing the rules of the game, and the fates of those 16 individuals trapped within it, forever...
Requirements:
-Must be +18 years of age
-Good quality audio (no background noises, no excessive peaking/clipping noises)
-Be capable of covering a wide variety of emotions. Many characters have hidden sides to them or go through transformative development which end in them acting in ways that seem opposed to how they are initially presented.
-Be comfortable signing an NDA

Maggie is the protagonist of Friendly Facade. She is a bubbly, optimistic girl. Although she is not the brightest, she finds it easy to connect with those around her. She has a tendency to lie to make herself seem more compatible with whoever she’s talking to. Her inner thoughts that the players read reveal her more judgmental nature. As the game progresses, her childish naivety diminishes in favor of strengthened resolve.

Alex is an intelligent and thoughtful writer/poet. They always have interesting advice or insight into any situation that they are a part of and are always looking to grow as a person. They are unable to dumb down their language to match their audience and have a tendency to get caught up in the details. They’re quick to give appraisal when someone does something good or when they are complimented. They also have a tendency to eavesdrop on other people’s conversations and are infinitely curious.

Calvin can best be described as an oddball whose behavior can't be predicted by any method of logic or reason. He tends to make peculiar comments during any situation and has the most unexpected fixations, but hanging with him seems to brighten one's morale. He tries to hide it, but he truly cares for the well-being of others.

Finn is very quiet and not much is known about him. He responds to most questions directed at him with “I don’t know” because he’s afraid of scrutiny. He slowly opens up to Maggie over time and forms a close bond with her, showing his more witty and thoughtful side.

Mckenzie comes from a lot of wealth. With that money, she was able to go to attend a prestigious acting school. She puts a lot of work into her goals of becoming an actress. Although he has knowledge about soccer, he is more passionate about things astronomy or space related, which can flavor his speech somewhat.

Zoya is persistent if nothing else. If there is something she wants to find out, she'll do her best to do so. She is a big fan of anything to do with romance and love. Although she’s very excitable, she has a limited social battery and becomes exhausted towards the end of the day.

Holly is Maggie's best friend. She is not participating in the Isolated Society Study. She has an incurable disease that has caused her to accumulate a large sum of the debt, which Maggie wants to pay off. The two have been friends since elementary school. Holly is full of a lot of energy and loves going outside, climbing trees, and anything that involves running around.

Felix Richter is the overseer of the Isolated Society Study. Not much else is known about him. His attitude frequently ping-pongs back and forth between lightheartedness and cruelty. Later on, his levity is even more juxtaposed with the dark situation, and he becomes much more cold and sinister.
